The pediatrician called me last night. She hadn't received the lab results on the ear culture yet but I gave her the gist of it. She wants the actual results before determining whether to switching his abx though. She said they don't see a lot of streptococcus bacteria anymore since the PCV vaccine covers the main strains. I asked which type he had to see if it was one covered under the vaccine but she didn't have the results in front of her. For the time being, I'm going to cancel the allergist/immunologist appt Tuesday. She'll order blood work to check his antibodies and a few other things before determining whether we should proceed with the allergy testing. I asked about doing the testing for PID and she said they would do it if the initial lab reports reveal the pneumococcal antibodies are low. Good job, mama. |

I would like everyone to know that today, 9/28, I, Flamingo, donned activewear and worked out. And then went to pick my kid up from school in aforementioned activewear. I felt so with it. This is me everyday, but definitely not feeling with it LOL. Great work, that's amazing! What made you decide to go for it? |

I’m one proud momma tonight. My girl rocked her gymnastics meet. 4 perfectly stuck routines and even though she’s the youngest, she’s anchoring bars and beam for her team. That’s awesome! |

We survived the flight. No tears, no tantrums. With the exception of my 6 y/o saying "We are going to die" on take off, it was fairly uneventful for a trip with 10 kids. **knocks on all the wood**
I am currently in my OWN bed with all my kids (minus Bea) in another room and I am enjoying every second of it.

Colin is actually sitting down and watching a movie - he must not feel well.  He won't eat either, I think it hurts too much to swallow but he is having trouble explaining how he feels. Poor kiddo. Is it hfm? Try benadryl and maalox and see if that helps and gets liquids in him if he hasn't had any. Look for bumps on feet, hands, underwear area. Maybe early strep too No rash. I was thinking strep - how long can it take for symptoms to show? Because I know for a fact that he was exposed to it a week ago. Let's be honest, he certainly could have been exposed more recently between school and daycare! |

I’m slim (courtesy of genetics), but with no definition or tone anymore. Ideally I’d like to get back into tennis (for the social aspect, too) but that will probably need to wait until I have C in school a bit more. |

tallb ha, it IS comfortable. I doubt I will ever throw out my regular clothes in favor of only athleisure, but now that Pandora’s box has been opened i wouldn’t mind adding a couple tunic-sweatshirts or something to bum around in this fall (can’t believe I am saying that, lol). I do think there are more "styled" options available now that athleisure is a thing. You can get all of the comfort, without looking like you walked straight out of the gym. |

I worked 11 hours yesterday. Got to love end of fiscal. KH, who does all of our purchasing, started at 200a and was still there when I left at 700p. I helped her with what I could but people where still sending her invoices to be paid.
