Sending hugs to you bethkate quinn and everyone with sick kiddos. Thankfully Jojo recovered quickly from her cold. We're having a great time in Disneyland! Jojo is not sleeping on the go like we hoped, but her naps had been torture before we left too, I think from her cold. We might end up transitioning to one nap waaaay before I expected to, but maybe it's just a phase too. It's certainly fomo here. She was up from 630-1230 today with a maybe ten minute nap on Haunted Mansion and then about half an hour relaxing in the carrier with DH. She absolutely loved it's a small world, of course. Her first ride was pirates of the Caribbean and she liked that too!

Not like he sleeps long for that 1 afternoon nap anyways 😒

Work continues to just be busy enough that I keep getting behind here. I think I'm caught up now though. We've got soccer practice for DS1 tonight and we are trying to figure out plans for the weekend. My H always wants to do things and I just want to stay at home lol. L is waking up MOTN for some reason and it is making me a little tired. L also tried to lift his leg to climb out of the bathtub last night so that was a little scary lol. He's doing pretty well in general. The 4 year old is still pretty trying a lot of times but I am hoping that starts improving soon.

She actually napped for 3 hours this afternoon, so I was able to get some stuff done, and it saved my sanity. She’s mostly acting normal now, but this rash is so bad. Her temp has been normal all day, so hopefully now it’s just a matter of a couple of days for the rash to go away.

Ds2 seems to be feeling better today. 🙌 He still has a little congestion/cough but is acting like himself. I'm almost back to myself as well. Stupid cold. Dh passed his assessments! So he gets a formal interview! Still maintaining cautious optimism but he told ds1 last night about it, so that's a big deal lol. We had one of our neighbor's kids over last night and they played well together. The kid is 6 months older than ds1 but ds1 did ok. I think there's a lot of emotional growth between 3.5 and 4 so I am hopeful that ds1 will grow out of some of his more negative behaviors with our help. I'm giving away ds2's summer rompers since it's finally starting to get into more fall weather and I've been putting him in "real" clothes more often. He looks so cute in a t shirt and jeans 😍 I'm hoarding the romper that misskilljoy sent us though ha ha. That's going in his baby box. Yesssss, it's so cute. I'm so sad DS doesn't fit in rompers any more. I'm glad you're keeping it! Also hi, life is nuts, work sucks, there were six tornadoes here last Friday and everything in my city is a mess, but everything is fine with me. One day work won't be so stupid (we had to reorganize classes and now I get a whole new assignment on Monday, for which I am not prepared) and I'll have time to check in here. One day.

Well, I spoke waaaaay too soon. I literally watched the spots pop up on his arms, ankles, legs, and thighs tonight. 😩😩😩 I noticed a new one under his tongue and a few small ones around his lips as well. Aside from being whiny and clingy he was basically fine though. That is until he was nursing before bed. He pulled off and started crying and then refused to nurse any more. Luckily he took a cold bottle. I’m keeping him home from daycare tomorrow but he hasn’t had a fever since at least Wednesday morning so I hope it rolls through quickly and without much damage.
I absolutely can NOT catch it...I have to travel next week and can’t miss it. I’d rather not show up at a meeting with blisters/scabs everywhere.

You can try giving him some Tylenol before you nurse him.

Another anecdote that my kid has had it twice and I haven’t gotten it from him. Hope he feels better soon!

Plus, wash all the hands!
