Getting motion sickness from even the thought of roller coasters, which I used to love. And also, getting motion sickness from a plane pushing back from the gate. That one is super fun when I travel. Never had this problem in my 20s.

Never had this problem in my 20s. Yes, I LOVE all amusement park rides. We went to a fair and I took DD on the Ferris wheel and felt so dizzy after. Younger me would be so sad at 36 year old me.

Has anyone mentioned the Pokeman Go thread yet? I know a ton of 30-somethings that are huge into that. And not because their kids are. Because they liked it when they were kids/teenagers. It's been around for over 20 years. Knowing that made me feel old.

Although I could probably see my 46 year old husband doing it. He loves geocaching and that feels similar.

Checking the age on a collegiate lifter's license wondering if I taught her in one of my high school presentations at local grade schools then seeing she was born the summer after I graduated.

Iβm a year younger than my mom was when she became a grandma. I have a second grader lol.
Iβm gonna be 40 next week so thatβs not helping the feeling oldness. That and the fact that my hair is now salt and pepper. π©

Here's a morbid one:
Every month for the past year or so, a parent of my friends dies.
Sometimes, it's more than one.

Driving in the car with my H and singing along to the 90s music. Reminds me of being in elementary school in the 80s and hearing my parents sing along to 60s music.

McBenny - I feel old when people donβt want to go out too. I mean, I have my own anxiety related stay home things, but bitch, just because we have kids doesnβt mean we canβt meet down at the local pub on a Saturday afternoon. Itβs totally kid friendly even. Weβll be there, see you if you get the stick out of your butt. I also work at a college, and yes, the fact that most of the parents of incoming kids are my age or younger does make me feel kind of old.

A few years ago I taught 6th grade and the group were the same kids I taught in K my first year of teaching.
When we were collating photos of the K year for their graduation slide show (here primary school is K-6th then high school is 7th-12th) they found a photo of me from the K year.
Them βoh my good Miss look how young you were!!!! You look like 16!!!β
Me (stupidly) βwait well how old do I look now?β
Them βI donβt know, old?β
I was freshly 30. Assholes

And interviewing potential new graduate teachers and seeing when they graduated high school on their CV. I still think of myself as one of the younger teachers but in reality... nope.

My birth certificate
My aging parents
Gray hair
Random aches and pains
Chin hair
Needing glasses after decades of excellent vision
Just had another birthday this weekend so this thread is timely. My kids and an active job keep me from really feeling my age, though.

I was watching some PBS cartoon the other day with my girls and they were talking about the 8 planets. I wanted to scream that there are 9 planets so bad. Pluto will always be a planet to me. This is H and I pretty much weekly because DS1 is super into space. "When I was your age there were NINE planets" π²π²π²

When I'm thinking of something I did toward the end of high school or shortly after graduating and I say, "jeez, that was like 15/17 whatever years ago".

I teach 13/14 year olds so itβs a regular thing. This conversation stands out -
Them: who is Drew Barrymore? Me: you donβt know who Drew Barrymore is?! Them: no, is he famous?
Then I tried to think of a movie they would know and the newest one I could think of was Never Been Kissed and it turns out that movie is five years older than they are. Then I remembered 50 First Dates, which is their age.
