We just got home from visiting 2 different waterfalls. The weather is amazing out.
We were very adventurous and tried to climb down the steep hill to see the falls from the bottom. We made it 3/4 of the way slipping and stumbling over some rocks but then it was much too steep to even attempt and we climbed our way back up. Good times all around and my kid thought it was so hard and has worn her out.
So now chilling with a movie and I have a tea 🍵

I went to hot yoga in hopes of sweating out my hangover. The instructor was very hands on-massagey. I apologized after class for basically drenching her in booze sweat and she laughed.

I did tell her it helped my hangover and she said, “good! Just in time to start drinking again!”
She gets me. 😂

Sorry for the sickies thebanich and @leavebritneyalone! I was going to wait until Oct for flu shots but the way DS is catching everything this year, I think we’d better get them ASAP.

I got some cute tops and a great throw blanket for my couch at target. Then I spent the rest of my money on DS.
@leavebritneyalone positive thoughts your way, hope they can get the fever down.

We're home later than I was hoping for but DS and I had fun at the farm. Bouncing, sand art, food truck lunch, hayride, corn maze, and playground. It's finally a little chilly and I'm making comfort food for dinner

Ok, so that hike WAS pretty hard.
I have now nodded off 4 times on the couch in 10 minutes! I am feeling wiped out 😆

This year was the first time flu shots for kids under 5 was free and actively encouraged via government advertising, after the horrific season the northern hemisphere had last year.
But hashtag poor planning because everywhere ran out of the kids ones super quickly 🙄
Hopefully they do better with that here next year.

Yeah they still don't encourage people to get flu shots here and I'm pretty sure public insurance only covers it for elderly, babies, and pregnant women.

We had a fun day at the fair. I love seeing the sheep herding dog demos.
H is currently making applesauce even thought our need for dinner is infinitely greater and more pressing than our need for applesauce. 🤔

Thanks guys. On call ped actually recommended to wait and see, monitor diapers and breathing, and eating and reassess in a few hours. Luckily his temp has gone down a bit (99.4) and he’s eaten/slept so that’s a good sign.

We went out for frozen custard with my parents but I really want to open wine. Wine can be dinner right? Maybe with some almonds for protein 🤣

Swim team meeting was really informative. It’s a little intense, but he loves swimming and is excited so I’m sure it’ll be fine. I will be living at our pool this winter. We’re getting ready to head over to SILs. It’s cool out and will be perfect for a bonfire! I’m way late probably but DS1 just started on our swim team this year at our local y. It’s crazy busy but he’s so happy doing it. And gingy is a good resource if you have swim questions

Yes same, just people with chronic illness, olds and pregnants here and now kids under 5. Because all kids vax on the schedule are free a lot of people seem to think optional ones aren’t important or worth getting. Make it free and they just assume it’s part of the normal schedule. ETA: the Facebook posts about flu vax here “if it was important the government would make it free!!” Really shits me.
