Central a/c has been, by far, the best investment we've made. Neither of us had ever lived in a house with central air before, but we'll never go without it again! This is exactly my thought. I swear it has gotten so much hotter in the 13 years I've lived here. I never remember it being 105 in October. So I an thinking AC will be a worthy investment. If anything we will gain aa t least as much value in the house as we put into it. We are waiting to get at least one more quote, but CA has an energy efficiency rebate program for the ductless system we got the initial quote for that is an insanely good deal. So I am ready to move forward with it.

Ugh. Just got the official word that the girl who caused the accident is not insured. I'm so angry. We suspected it, but were hoping we were wrong. We have uninsured motorist coverage, but I'm afraid it won't go far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Fuck. Isn't she still personally responsible for paying, though? I mean... I realize that if she has no money that Isn't helpful. People are such idiots.

Girl's night was so fun! We did trivia at a local Mexican place and came no where close to winning. My friends also gave me a dozen doughnuts and a sushi gift card as a belated BDay gift since there was a lot of personal stuff happening in our group last month. I wore one of my new Old Navy dresses. It is sooo comfortable and fits really well. I'm keeping 4/5 that I bought. I'm going to try and see if I can exchange the maxi for a smaller size because it pools on the floor at my feet. Fun!! I love trivia. H and I used to do a weekly trivia night before DD was born. Pretty much right up until the due date. On the day we did it, Tuesdays, they had $5 specialty tator tots. So basically the best as a pregnant.

As I was leaving, DS asked me if he could come to dinner, too. I said no, it's just for mommies. He then asked why I was taking the baby. Touche, kid.
But also, it's inside of me, so we're kind of a package deal.

Right? For us we're seeing it in the winter. It's taking longer to get cold, stay cold, and our snow totals are down. I say this though like it's not still below zero and averaging 120" of snow a year. Just less October and November winter starts.

My god my boobs are feeling really full and tender. Also got some crusty nips going on, so wouldn't surprise me if I started dribbling lol.
I started leaking really early with DS, like 9 weeks onwards until I gave birth

This weather is making me so grateful to have a winter baby. DS was a summer baby, and it was so hard to keep him cool. I'd much rather be able to bundle a newborn up rather than just strip them to a nappy and then still crying because of the heat.
This household loves winter 10x more than any other season, DS just hates heat full stop

How's the in-store maternity selection at old navy usually?
The one that was near me closed, so the closest is like 40 mins away. I'll be down that way for my hematologist appointment today though, so I'm wondering if it's worth checking out.

I've been rewatching New Girl while I get ready in the morning. I love Zooey Deschanel's style. I'd love to have her characters closet.

It's also buried in the back corner by the baby clothes. You could call the store and ask. They may have more than the one by me!

There is a tiny, messy little section at the back of the store. They have a decent selection of jeans but everything else is hit or miss. That being said, I lucked out last week and found 3 tank tops on sale that I really liked. I got THIS tank in teal and red and am thinking about grabbing the gray still. It requires a cami underneath but is super light and comfy. I wore the red to work yesterday and got a lot of compliments.

I just ordered the gray tank from the one I linked above and it is on sale today for around $9. Just saying...
I also ordered the maternity go-dry compression capris. Hopefully those work out, I need some casual pants and the capri leggings I have from last time are getting pretty saggy.

Ours kind of sucks, but I've had great success online! 2 of the dresses I recently bought aren't actually maternity, just very flowy swing dresses. You could try out a few of those if you prefer shopping in store.

Had my a/s today. All looks well. Measuring on track. Baby kept hands close to the face. Caught a big yawn too. Lol. We are team green. However fun fact: my hospital doesn't won't tell you during the ultrasound anymore if it's a boy or girl. They always said they wouldn't tell you but would If you asked. She said they changed their policy and won't say anymore. Good for me that we didn't want to know anyways. So will they still write it down for you or something? Or does everyone have to be team green or do genetic testing? Nope they won't write it down at all. There are some private places I guess you could go to And pay and they will tell you.

On the maternity wear front, I finally found (ok H pointed it out) the maternity section at Burlington the other day and it was one of the better ones I've seen in a store. Better then the Targets by me. And significantly less expensive. I got two tops and pair of denim capris for $30. I'll probably go back at some point.

beefinch joining you in the full, tender crusty boob club. Baby just gave me some huge kicks! Pretty sure they could have been felt from the outside but of course they stopped when I put my hand there. Also, I have found that I refer to baby as a girl in my head. Can't wait until the a/s! I don't know how you team green's do it!!!

I have been told several times that Burlington has a good maternity section but I despise Burlington and swore years ago I would never go back. I have been debating my decision and now I just might have to. I need some clothes.

I have no idea how I managed to dress myself like a semi normal human last time with so little.

jules1614 when is your U/S? I'll be looking forward to that day and will be checking when you post 😂 I know I have such admiration for the team greens. I am going to try my hardest to convince myself to be team green with #3 since we will already have a boy and a girl... as I would love the the whole "it's a boy/girl" after the labour... but it's going to be insanely hard

I have my a/s tomorrow! I'm excited to see baby. It's so strange ... by this point with DS I had already had 3 u/s and then had one every week after 32 weeks. So far, it's seeming like this may be our last time seeing baby until s/he is born.

Omg I died today: so I had my OB appt this morning and the nurse does all her usual; blood pressure, weight, how are you feeling, and says "the doctor will be in in a moment, just a belly check today". So H gets up to throw out his coffee and points to the counter where all the normal stuff is laid out (swabs, gloves, scope, etc) and then says, in the most serious tone, "I thought she said only a belly check today, why is the pussy platter out?" fucking pussy platter. The OB walked in as I was wiping my tears from laughing so hard.
