I was technically around yesterday catching up but was reading that giant drama thread on GD. I only got 1/3 of the way through before I passed out and now it's gone. I have serious FOMO.

I am finally catching up after a super busy weekend. Woof. So sorry about the kidney stones, paperbagliz. I've never had them but had gallstones after DD was born. I called 911 during an attack, before I knew what was going on, because I thought I was having a heart attack. Bruuuutal. Glad you're feeling better now! Yikes! That sounds awful, but I'm glad you were ok.

90° in the house sounds miserable, but I like it cold. It's always set to 72 or even 71 in the summer here.
DS1 got the 1st goal of the game yesterday!

Do these shoes look okay? DH is best man in a fancy downtown Chicago wedding this weekend. I was going to go shopping for something a bit nicer (maybe shinier with a pointier toe? Idk) but I already have these and they are super comfy. I would love to wear heels but I know I'd be miserable all night so I want to stick with flats. It's hard to see in the pic but they have kind of a lacy pattern. This is the dress

It gets hot in our house. Poor DD is in a west facing room and even when it is only like 80 degrees outside her room heats up to over 80 just from the sun beating down. That is in a dark room with the curtains closed! It actually stays hotter in our house than it is outside most evenings. But, we are looking into AC. It will be expensive but so worth it. It has only gotten up to about 80 here so far this summer but in a couple months will be near or over 100. I will not be able to handle that in October. I know I have mentioned it like 18 times but most places here were not built with AC. Our last house did not have AC and got full evening sun blasting it every day. It was not uncommon for our thermostat to read upwards of 90 by the evenings. And we had radiators for heat so central air was completely out of the realm of possible. Central air was a must have for us in our new house. We've rarely turned our thermostat passed 69 since the heat started this season. And that's how I intend it to stay alllllllllllllll summer.

I'm basically the epitome of health, my internal organs just happen to hate me. Just wait until my liver most likely starts turning on me near the end of pregnancy. The thrill it will be to read 100 posts about me being so itchy I could skin suit myself.

I'm taking DS to get a haircut today. Does anyone know an old priest and a young priest? Literally everyone involved was crying by the end of it last time. Well, the hairdresser wasn't, but I could tell she would have loved a stiff drink at 10am.

I really need to finish packing up my stuff and haul it out to my car, but you guys, I just don't want to. Like it pains me to even consider getting off my butt and being productive.

Internally, though, my liver goes on strike. Womp womp.

I have serious FOMO. what drama thread? I was out most of the day. What did I miss?? I don't even know where it ended up. It started with a poster coming back after a hiatus to deal with some serious family things. Coming back was fine. But she was talking about a mindset class she was going to be running for a small fee and some people had questions about it, others had issues with her coming here with a personal business, others felt she was too freshly out of a bad time in her life to be offering to help others already. It exploded. A lot. I don't know how exactly but it ended up talking about incestuous relationships? Then some PMs got posted and the poster was banned, thread deleted (mainly by accident, admin only meant to delete OP's posts and not the whole thing).

paperbagliz that sounds horrible glad you're feeling better. pootsen I think those shoes will be good, I like your dress! I too missed the drama and when it gets lengthy like that I give up and wait for someone else to give me the synopsis so thanks for that misskilljoy! MH would never buy a house without central air, that man runs hot. We set ours to 74 but I still wear long sleeve shirts and pants to bed all summer cause I'm always cold.

Central a/c has been, by far, the best investment we've made. Neither of us had ever lived in a house with central air before, but we'll never go without it again!

I grew up on the river and had a great breeze, but then moved to the city with nothing. A/C is a must here.

My mom and I are taking my grandpa to the doctor today, he's showing signs of dementia. He has little to no knowledge about his cancer diagnosis, it's definitely time we step in but it's still hard to admit that it's time.

Just had a jabbing game with DD. Read grumpycat post in the weekly thread and it made me wonder if DD would poke me back. Turns out she will, and I can see outside movement depending where she pokes back! That was a fun few minutes
