pambee, I don't think that's silly, that's the general process Tlex recommended I think! Yup, much more concise lol but that’s exactly what works for us! I went back and read everything after I posted, I skimmed some in the beginning...oops lol! But good to know.

Car seat question for you photomama2013What is the best spots to put two car seats in the car? Right now my daughter is in the middle seat in a Britax convertible seat but we are going to add the infant seat for the baby soon. I wasn’t sure what was safest for seat placement or if it is just what fits best. If it helps it is a Honda Accord, Decent size backseat and infant seat is chicco. Thanks.

So the best spot is where you get the best installation. The britax is wide so I feel like putting them next to each other might be tight, but it might be ok. It may take some trial and error. Is DD forward facing or rear facing? Also think about your lifestyle, where you live, etc. Do you park at the curb a lot? Logistics play a big role. Personally I put DS2 on the drivers side and baby is going on the passengers side. My reasoning being that I can quickly unbuckle DS2, close the door, go around the car, get the infant seat and DS2 will climb through to get out passengers side. I drive a van, so DS1 is in the way back.

Thanks! DD is still fear facing. It is a big seat, that’s why I’m a little worried. Didn’t plan this far ahead when getting seats. I’m guessing we will have to play around and see what fits. I just wasn’t sure if there was a right way. I feel bad about taking DD out of “safest” spot.

Car update: We've had my new minivan since second week in January. I've put on over 1000 miles already. I've always said I wanted to be a SUV soccer mom, not a minivan mom. I'm ashamed to admit now that I love love love the Odyssey! The auto sliding doors are fantastic!!!!
We're still debating how to arrange our three seats. DD is almost 2, still rearfacing, 28 pounds and 35 inches, in a Graco Extend2fit. Twins will be in Chicco Keyfit 30s. Right now we have DD behind driver seat and the infant bases in middle and passenger, but I haven't actually tried it with the actual seats there.

grover the odyssey is very wide so you shouldn't have any problems with that set up. I can easily fit 3 across the middle 😊

bex15 technically speaking the middle because it's furthest from any point of impact, but sometimes you cant get a good install there. Both sides are equally safe. It's a matter of preference.

Lurking from July/August. Hope you don’t mind me jumping in with a question photomama2013. We have a Nissan Rogue SUV. I have a 4 year old son who is in a Graco MySize 65 Convertible car seat (forward facing). Baby will be in a Graco click connect. I also have a 15 year old stepson. So when all 3 kids are riding, it will be a tight fit. Currently DS is directly behind the drivers side seat. My thought is to put the infant base in the middle, and give step son the seat behind the passenger side. Would this be safe enough? Any other insight or suggestions? Eventually we will move DS to a high back booster but probably not for another year or so. I guess my main hesitations are making sure middle is safe enough for baby, and hoping that the middle won’t be crazy tough to click in all the time.
