I went to bed at 9 and E slept through the night until 4:30. I reset my alarm to 5 instead of getting on the treadmill (of course) and I actually feel like a new person this morning. Happy it's Thursday and another step closer to Friday.
My mom comes home tonight from her trip to Scotland.

Still waiting but we got a new outfit and socks 😂 I am bursting but as soon as they take him back they will show me to a room so I can pump. H is allowed to go with him until he falls asleep (it will be better if H goes, I will be a mess). Staff here is awesome.

Good morning! I have some more errands to run and then the rehearsal dinner for my brother’s wedding is tonight. They are so disorganized- no one knows what’s going on and there’s talk that we might not even rehearse the ceremony tonight and just do a quick run through 2 hrs before the wedding tomorrow. Wtf! At least there will be good food tonight! I’m just going to try to go with the flow and help whenever I can because it’s been driving me crazy worrying about stuff that I have no control over.

It’s going to be another two hours, our surgeon just got another emergency from neonatal. They said we can give him some water and wait, or reschedule for Monday.
I guess we will wait, I don’t want to do this again. They put me in a room to pump. And of course I’m crying.

He looks adorable in his gown!!!

Sometimes you just need to let it out.

It’s my Friday!! Tomorrow we will make the drive to my sisters for my nieces 3rd birthday weekend. We plan on going swimming at the hotel tomorrow so hopefully the kids sleep great after.
Last night was rough! DS2 was up a few times and didn’t want to settle. My H was with him for a bit then I went back in. I was so confused as to the time when I came out of his room, I thought it was 530, but it was already 630 which is our usual wake up time... no wonder ds2 wouldn’t settle lol. I’ve had coffee and breakfast sandwich, so I’m better now!

So I think BabyWaffle has a stomach bug: she threw up at crèche on Tuesday, had half her bottle Tuesday night and we got a poop explosion yesterday morning and this morning. She's eating normally, has no fever and is super happy so I guess we just wait for it to clear up?
The crèche said it was teeth but both upper fronts have pierced through so that seems odd?
In any case, I've ordered 4+ diapers in case these huge poops are here to stay (please tell me they aren't, I can't cope with that much poop first thing!) Oh and I can't remember who had shared the layering bedsheets tip, but you saved my morning!
I am so happy we cancelled Edinburgh: there's a raging storm and I don't want to deal with that amount of poop at someone else's house (with no spare sheets etc)

Sometimes you just need to let it out. I'm glad he was able to have something. It's really unfair and wrong to have a little one go this long without eating. Especially, since he doesn't understand why he isn't being fed. I would've waited too. No way would I want to put my little one through this again.

The acknowledge they are short staffed when it comes to pediatric surgeons. I’m amazed N is doing so well so far. I just hope the doctor’s estimate was accurate. I really appreciate all the support today, guys. You rock. ❤️❤️❤️

Sending you continuing good vibes cakewench. He looks adorable at least. Delays for these types of things can be so emotional! So many long weekends! Travel season. Have a good one jules1614! It feels like there are a whole bunch of fun things going on in our city the week we're away, go figure.

Good morning! H and I are still congested but I feel better today so hopefully we are on the mend.
I've been going back and forth about not going to my cousins wedding in Vegas and renting a place in the Berkshires the week after so I can have a relaxing trip. I think I'll feel too guilty if I skip the wedding so I'm going to see if we can swing both trips. If not I'm planning a relaxing trip for the spring so I have something to look forward to.

We got to the zoo ds2 slept the whole time and there was no one there! Almost all the animals were super active as well. I got to see white lion cubs, a baby red river hog, a couple young giraffes, young tamirs, etc without dealing with crowds or the 3.5 year old lol. My in laws got us memberships for Christmas so I can go as much as I'd like. I'm thinking I'll go back next week.

Morning Ladies! I stayed from home sick yesterday and am feeling much better today, but now I have this awful cough which is driving me (and probably the whole office) nuts.
Yesterday my ILs were over watching the girls and it was sooo nice to be able to rest all morning while they took care of the girls. Also, MIL made us dinner which is always nice. I helped her make sweet potato gnocchi and it was delicious. I brought leftovers for lunch but I'm thinking about skipping oatmeal for breakfast and heating up the gnocchi right now!
The babies have their 9 month appointment today and I'm planning to force some extra afternoon snacks and milk on Paris and hope that her weight gain has been okay since the 6 month appointment! Siena is so much thicker than her so I'm sure she's fine, which seems weird since they get the same amount of milk and same food every day and they're both great eaters. But I know I shouldn't compare them, every baby is different, even twins!

Just checking in now! Hope the surgery smooth and an easy recovery cakewench! It's cold and gloomy today. DD1 is fighting her nap something fierce. I put all of her winter clothes in the closet ready to go (I plan on getting rid of the dresser). Now to dig through her current size, see if there's any warm clothes for DD2 to wear this winter. I have a load of wash in, hoping to lift a few stains on some clothes then will add those to the thrift sale pile. Tonight I HAVE to get the rest of the stuff tagged for the sale. DH doesn't work Friday so no curr about his early bedtime.

I am debating dropping another pump at work. DS is increasingly disinterested in nursing unless he is tired, so I’m not sure if he’s going to make it to a year breastfeeding. Plus my pump output has been abysmal recently. I’m kind of bummed, but it also might be the kick in the ass I need on the diet/exercise front. I’ve been using breastfeeding as an excuse to snack way too much.

The bouncer is next. He seems less and less into it now that he can crawl.

belle0720 do you have a recipe you can share for the gnocchi? I'm making H some spinach gnocchi this weekend. Also I have a friend with twins and there is a 4lb weight difference between them lol.

We are home. N did great, understandably grumpy and sleepy but otherwise all is good. The cyst was sent to pathology as a routine precaution, but we are expecting a smooth recovery and follow up.
Thanks again everyone for your support today!!! Hugs for everybody!
And now, naps.
