I felt like crap last night and I think J wasn't feeling so hot either. His eczema is back full force on his poor legs and they are red, raw, and itchy. I feel so freaking bad for him. It's been so good from May until now, I just hope we don't have to battle it all winter again.
I went to bed at 9:30 last night since I had a headache. J slept from 8-4:45 which was so nice, but an hour short on his sleep. I fed him a few ounces and put him back in bed thinking he would never sleep but he fell right back to sleep. Instead of going back to bed I've been getting some things done and it feels great! I figure I had a great 7 hour stretch of sleep, I can get stuff done this morning so I'm not so stressed out this week.

H is starting a supervisor position today. So, T started full day at school in their wrap program. It’s only $420 a month and she can go 7am-6pm. She’ll mostly be there 8:15-4:15. She wasn’t shy at all and she’s going to love it.
I’m picking R up around 2:30 and bringing her back to work until I’m done. I’ll be out by my house on a home visit. Tuesday and Wednesday H will bring her to work.
My mom comes home Saturday night and I’m hoping she will watch R and not go to Texas for winter. Otherwise, my plan is to post on NextDoor to find someone to watch her.

bsouls good luck with the transitions!! Is this the position you didn’t really want him to take? Was that you? king26 I hope Js eczema gets better. Did you guys go to the allergist? pennylane I hope your LO is feeling better Getting an oil change right now. Dh has no appts this afternoon so he is home while N naps. I’m co-signing a lease with my parents for them to move apartments and the HOA is asking for ridiculous shit- a local police report, a personalized reference letter from my job, and a notarized page 🙄 I am just like what. It was easier for me to buy my condo than to rent this fucking apartment. So I’m going to try to get all that done today since dh is home w him instead of having to pay my nanny extra $$ or lug N around. N has been doing one night where we CIO with around 2 wake ups and then one night of STTN. Like back and forth and back and forth. I guess it’s better than nothing! Of course dh is convinced it’s bc he has a new superstitious bedtime routine. 🙄 ok dh. It makes me laugh but also like bruh. No. We are struggling with transitioning milk to the bottle. He barely drank any milk all weekend from his sippy cup- maybe like 3oz TOTAL each day (minus his nighttime bottle of 4-5oz of BM). I was so worried he was going to get dehydrated or just be really hungry bc he wasn’t making up for the milk calories in food. Today he again refused to drink more than an oz after waking up from STTN and I tried two different sippy cups and nothing. I dumped the WCM into a bottle and bam! He’s already drank 9oz today. Idk how to get him to drink more from the sippy cup!! Is worrying about dehydration (he does drink water) or just hunger legit? I guess I should ask my dr.

Nap training is not going well. After his 2 hour nap the first day, it’s progressively gotten worse to where he’s only had 1 nap a day for the past 3 days and they’ve been less than 40 mins. I don’t know what else to do.
ETA and only one has been in the crib. The others were in the car. So although I’m sticking to not nurse napping, he’s not into the crib. He just cries.

addymac with T we had to go cold turkey and I think it took a few days before she drank milk from the sippy cup. R has started drinking more milk from the sippy cup and it’s been a few weeks. We give half a sippy cup three times a day. She usually doesn’t finish it, so I think she’s getting 10 ounces or less a day. Girl likes yogurt though. I wouldn’t worry about milk consumption if you’re giving him milk and cheese. And, if he’s drinking water and has pee diapers then he’s fine.

addymac, is he a good water drinker? I honestly wouldn’t worry hunger wise since he is eating plenty and I’m sure getting dairy from cheese, yogurt etc...

I had to pick my kids up early at daycare and skip a work event I organized. Thank goodness I have understanding work friends who covered for me! They thought they mind have HF&M which is going around. I told them it was allergies and sure enough not spots or fever. They are going back tomorrow.
But because they are so congested they both aren't sleeping. I am so over this storm which has been teasing us for a week now and just raising humidity and mold which we are all allergic to.
I hope everyone else's babies start sleeping...

@easilyunamused ugh I’m so sorry. Despite our nighttime issues, I’m glad N figured out daytime naps. I hope A just figured it out soon, like he did with STTN.

That is tough but keep at it! The more you put him in a crib the more he will get used to it. It sucks to let them cry but sometimes you have to do that too.

yellowcat Omg, so glad it wasn't hfm. That's going around in our area, and I'm so worried the boys are going to get it. Ds1 has already had it twice and I caught it each time, which was awful!! Hope they get less congested. addymac I hope he starts drinking from the sippy.

D. isnt doing great atm. 4 molars coming through, combined with a bad head cold and am upset tummy had made night and day rough the past days and now she is running a fever too. I am beat. Normally when she is poorly I will comfort boob her but she is so congested she can't nurse at all. She slept on top of daddy for 1.5h this morning which seems till be less frustrating for her. On me she keeps crawling down to find a boob... which leads to crying again since she can't breath while nursing. I am so over gehad and colds.

Thanks jt2378, king26 & addymac. I’m at a loss as to why he refuses to nap in the crib. We are on day 6 and it’s awful.

M woke at 11:15 like an absolute monster and was up and down in the crib for an hour. I gave up and just gave her Tylenol and then she slept through so I guess most likely teeth. Poor thing but jaysus with the screaming.

Thanks jt2378, king26 & addymac. I’m at a loss as to why he refuses to nap in the crib. We are on day 6 and it’s awful. I feel like it is much much harder to sleep train at this age. They seem so strong willed and the level of screaming at least with my kid is... something ugh

I was going to give him another 5 before I got him and tried again later. Idk why, but the crying during the day is way harder than the night training. He’s stubborn, but I’m the OG. Lol

Poor thing but jaysus with the screaming. I feel so bad when you know they are in pain from teething. I tried out the babyganics teething gel, and he seemed to like it. I felt like I was dosing too much Tylenol and wanted to try an alternative.

I got her out twice and she would fall asleep on me and then go back and resume screaming after 5 or 10 minutes. I haven't been giving tylenol really at all lately but I do feel one molar poking through so time to start dosing again, LOL

But these have only coconut oil, clove oil and stevia so it has a numbing agent but doesn’t numb to a high effect. Idk, I figured it would be worth a try.

L is over her cold mostly but still itching (if it doesn’t clear up in another day I’m going to get it checked out). Plus definitely getting a handful of teeth. What is sleep?
This is the 2nd day she has only taken 1 30 minute morning nap and then been running around until bedtime like it’s no big deal. So I guess I need to shift nap to after lunch maybe?

I use an all natural teething oil with clove oil that slightly numbs and works well.

I think I for 2 hours of sleep last night. J is not doing well but 2 canines have finally come through, 2 more and we are done with this! Both kids have terrible allergies, and H and I have insane work schedules these next two weeks. So no sleep. Ever.
For those of you who have older kids, when did you know they were ready for a bed? My DD is almost 2.5 and refuses to go-to sleep in her crib, she wants to be in a bed or on the couch.

I’m probably not the right person to answer since my kid was content in the crib till 3.5 😬 which was awesome but my guess is if she is already sleeping shitty, maybe not the best time to move her. Can she currently climb out of the crib? Of course there is the other side of if she isn’t sleeping well now anyways maybe just make the switch and see how it goes. Not very helpful, sorry! I would be conflicted on what to do.
