I also made the whole box of pasta and had way too much. The best. And maybe the worst. I’m torn. I do love leftovers for breakfast.

Also i got fitted for new bras last week at VS and they are still not fitting right. I'm so annoyed since i of course bought 3 new bras that i have worn since then. I think i'm going to have to give third love a chance, for those of you who buy from there - did you find there size finder thing to be correct? or did you use measurements? I have no idea what the link is but the British size finder someone posted here changed my bra fitting life forever. I hope someone knows what I’m talking about and links it for you! I think this was bobyn

I cook 3/4 of a box of pasta for my family of 5. My kids are serious pasta lovers & it's plenty & usually have a bit left over.
If that precise measurement helps y'all at all lol

Just home from my sister’s rehearsal dinner. Really fun to see old friends and family, and people were very into holding my kids so that’s a win-win for me.
I had to be there early for the rehearsal so DH and I had to bring separate cars. But it ended up working really well, because my massively introverted husband who finds parties exhausting left with the toddler around 8:30 when he was starting to fade, and I stuck around later with the baby. The baby passed out around 9 and people were just passing him around getting a sleeping baby endorphin fix.

On reflection I think DS had a mild case of flu the last few days. Apparently he was complaining of achy joints on Tuesday, then had a fever for 24 hours and was super lethargic and tired.

My kids have had it a few times without me knowing. Usually someone else who infected them mentions they got swabbed. My kids may have had influenza or HFM a week ago. They had instant fevers of over 103, headaches, chills and lethargic behavior and were exposed to both at school. They each have one tiny mark on their faces and rallied after a couple of days but no one else got it in my house.

Just bread, but the sauce is a meat sauce MH eats a half box himself no matter how thick the sauce. He has a real pasta problem. With a meat sauce I bet your estimate is right for most families.

Is he feeling better today? Totally back to normal today, he was fine yesterday too but we kept him home just in case so back to school he went today.

Jesslfar I’m glad I’m not the only one that totally misses illness’! Also glad your girls didn’t get hit hard either My pediatrician does not give antibiotics for under 4 days of fever and they don’t do Tamiflu for kids otherwise healthy who are over 2 so I regularly do not bring them in and find out what they have if they shake it off and are on the mend per their instructions. The flu vs other viruses is really hard to diagnose in kids. Only 2/5 of us got it and no one missed more than 2 days of school which is a huge win.

Ah yes & here it is just the kids & me. Although they usually 2-3 solid sized plates. Pasta nights are always the easiest dinner night!

MH just came and told me he is still hungry. He ate dinner an hour ago and he had an adult sized portion. This is not my problem Dude. It’s like living with a Man Child sometimes. I am off the clock now. An hour ago I would have made him a salad or helped but it is 8:40 and I already cleaned up the food, bathed and put to bed all the kids and just now sat down.

My 3 year old is screaming from bed that she can't go to sleep because she can't yawn because she doesn't have enough juice in her belly. Send help.

Yeah, doesn't he know where the fridge is? He gets in trouble for eating the kid’s snacks. Mostly cheese and crackers so he might be wary because I’ve been upset on school nights when he eats food I send for lunch. I have no idea how a man his age does not know how to get a bowl of cereal or grab a banana or yogurt.

Men At Work is now on Amazon Prime. It is a horrible movie that I remember watching with friends on vacation as a teen so I’m adding it to my watch list.

I don't know if she's new six or nearly seven, but we let my nearly seven year old watch it and he was okay. And he used to make us turn down the sound on The Get Down and Stranger Things because they scared him just hearing them in his room while he was trying to go to sleep. Just turned 6. I know a lot of kids in her class have seen it but she has not seen other non cartoon super hero movies. DS can be pretty sensitive and he really likes Black Panther. The section at the museum has some scary violence, so we fast forward through it for now, but it's only about 2 mins out of the movie. The rest of the fighting in it is more mundane. Spider-Man Homecoming is a really good entryway Marvel movie for sensitive kids.

Can you let me know how scary is it for the 6ish range? I’ve been wanting to let DD2 watch. My 7 yo finds the opening scene of Moana terrifying and he did okay with Black Panther. He had to turn his head a few times but he didn't stop watching it. I'm glad my kid isn't the only one who thinks Moana is a terror movie. 😂
