Let me preface this by saying, a boob job is 100% in my future. But I’m planning on at least 1 more kid so in the meantime...help me do the best with what I’m working with. I cannot find a bra to fit me. I used to be about that Victoria’s Secret life but post-babies they aren’t giving me a good fit anymore. I went to Soma for the first time this week, got fitted, tried on a ton, and bought 5 bras (3 different styles) but after wearing them at home for a couple hours, I’m going to have to try to return all of them for one reason or any other and feeling discouraged about it.
My main problem is my boobs are so saggy now. Like, so bad that when they measured me in my ill-fitting, not much lift bra, they were a C cup. After actually lifting them up in a good bra where they are supposed to be, it went up to a D/DD 😳. So these new ones I bought are giving me the lift I need but are super tight around to get the job done. Cutting into me, leaving painful wire marks around my side boob. Definitely not something I can wear every day. When I was getting fitted, they told me a larger band size would be way too loose so I think this just isn’t the brand for me.
Any suggestions? Is there any hope for me? I actually got a different size in all 3 styles I bought ranging from 40C to 38DD for reference. After the UO thread from yesterday (which I lurked last night) I’ll note that if there is a comfortable bra out there that can make my boobs look decent I will pay whatever they are asking and get it in every color.

I couldn’t find a single comfortable bra after having DS until I tried ThirdLove. Everything else pokes me somewhere or majorly gapes or spills out.
I was a C pre-kid, got up to an E while pregnant/BF, and am now back down to a D, although somewhat asymmetrical, which was part of my issue.

I got fitted at Nordstrom for a nursing bra recently and wish I wouldn’t have put it off for so long. Lots of styles, lots of brands, lots of price ranges. I ended up with Natori if you’re looking for brand recs.

I second getting fitted at Nordstrom. Game changer.
I was a high and firm D before kids and am now a saggy C/D after years of breastfeeding. But, a well bit bra can make them look fantastic again.

Yes Nordstrom. So many brands to try instead of being stuck with just one. The woman who fit me knew so much about which brand had extra give in the band. Magical.

My best recommendation is to go to a store with a variety of brands and band sizes.
Nordstrom is great. Or try to locate a boutique store. Stay away from Victoria's Secret.
Or you can go on Reddit and measure yourself without a bra. Search for abrathatfits sub forum. This isn't fool proof, but it gave me an idea of where to start. I was actually a 28G, I had been wearing a 32DDD. I believe they also give recommendation on shape, which is also important.
And avoid bras that have a wire support on the side. I also read the comments a lot to find if wires tend to be longer and dig in.

I’ve never bought bras online but I have nothing to lose, so I will check it out! There is definitely poking, gaping, and spillage lol.

I went from a perky D/DD to an H, and I’m still nursing an almost 3 year old, but I’m back to a very sad, saggy D/DD. I struggle to find bras with cups/underwire because I have no fat on top anymore. I just can’t fill them out. I’ve completely given up on underwire- it’s too uncomfortable. I started wearing the knixwear styles about 18 months ago and haven’t looked back. They give me a lot of support, nicely placed boobs, and no more gaping cup issues. Maybe something to consider.

I second doing your own measurements a la abrathatfits. If you have Amazon Prime, the more unusual-for-America sizes are often available through Prime Wardrobe so you can try on in the comfort of your own home.

Very hard/impossible to fill out the cup evenly. I’ve never heard of this bra but looked it up and I’m intrigued. Does it provide any lift? Even when my boobs were perky, they have always sat kind of low if that makes sense. Even if this bra gave me good shape, I don’t think I can go without lift

The way it fits pushes them up a bit. I don’t quite know how to describe it, but the girls look and feel good in them- kind of pushes them in and up. It takes care of the no fat on top problem. I actually wore the vneck 8-in-1 as a swim top this summer and got many compliments on how great it looked/fit. It is slightly more athletic looking than a traditional bra. I think you’d just have to see how it fit you. Their customer service is fabulous if you don’t like it.

I recently found myself in a very similar place - my DD's were sagging so badly I was beating myself up and starting to research boob jobs! I went to the Bay. And with the help of a lovely sales associate found the most comfortable, uplifting bra I've worn in years. Not a super exciting brand but it was a Bali bra. This one to be exact. www.onehanesplace.com/shop/onehanesplace/bali-underwire-bra-bb3p66It fits a bit large though so I ended up in a 36 D

I like ThirdLove bras. HilarityEnsued mentioned them once so I tried them and love them. They are around $70 a bra but so comfy. And I think they make my boobs look nice too.

I do not like third love. Poor quality for the price. I have saggy boobs and my most favorite bra is from Gap

I have a racerback bra from Third Love and I don't love it, but it could be that the fit isn't right. I need to try it again now that I have weaned.

I also hated Third Love. Natori is my go to brand. I love Natori also. This morning I ordered the one you recently linked I can usually find them like that for ~$40 if I’m not picky about color, which I’m not in the winter. And they’re always in the Nordstrom anniversary sale!

i just posted in drinking thread, but i just got fitted last week at VS, bra is still not fitting right, totally gaping in the cups. i think i should try third love but reading some of your posts maybe not. did you all find the size finder thing on there to be accurate? it is telling me i need a 30F, which sounds crazy to me. VS has me in a 32DD but still not fitting so maybe

I'm just going to be another that adds to the go to Nordstoms to get fitted because they will size you appropriately and will help you find a style of bra that works the best. I've also gotten nursing bras (some are in store and some they can order for you in the store and ship to you for free) Once you know your size and brand there are places online to buy.

Natori is like a soft dream pillow by comparison for me.
