My doula said something about how These next few days in September are the most common birth dates. 🤷♀️ I just saw an article on the 9th that that day is the most popular birthdate!

For dd1 I ovulated on New year's day and for dd2 I ovulated on Christmas (both clomid babies so we kind of could control the ovulation dates) but what can I say, the holidays are a great time to get pregnant ☺️

My doula said something about how These next few days in September are the most common birth dates. 🤷♀️ A midwife friend shared an article on FB last December, it was titled something like "midwife begs, please stop having sex at Christmas" and it talked about how it led to a baby boom come September!

DS woke up way early and I had a terrible day of sickness and contractions yesterday, so MH took the day off. Plus we didn't know what time the hospital would call for me to come in so thought it was just easier. Of course I don't go in until this evening but oh well. We got a few last minute errands done and then have just spent the day with my in-laws.
The plan is to go in at 5, they'll insert the cervidil and then as long as everything looks good I get sent home. I'm really hoping the cervidil works as I am sooooo ready for baby to arrive (and I want to avoid the IV if at all possible)!

I was still at 4 cm around 2:00. Pitocin was started around 12:00. Contractions were not that bad. I was surprised. We did break my water and get the epidural around 3. I'm at 5 now, as of...430? Even though it's taking a while I feel a lot better this time around.

Congratulations ftwr! After 4.5 hrs waiting I finally got the cervidil inserted. Now we're being monitored and will get to go home in an hour to let it do it's job. Hopefully it's a one dose thing for me and baby arrives tomorrow!

I'm 39+2 today and have my OB appt this morning. I've been doing well keeping my cool and have declined cervical checks so far. But I'm getting antsy! I'm debating having a check this week. I'm also been debating allowing my OB to do a membrane sweep if things look favorable.... But I had a sweep with DS and I told myself I wasn't going to do it this time around! It sent me into labor with DS, but I was 40+3.
I need to just slow down and hang in here! I've really wanted to let baby come on his/her own time this time.

I stayed strong this morning and didn't have a cervical check. My OB was like "You've done great this far! Baby's going to come soon anyways!" in an encouraging way cause she knows this is the path I'd wanted 😊

WWYD? Remember my smelly mattress? It still smells. A little less so, but it's been like three weeks. We even ordered a replacement and that one smells too! Would you look for an entirely different mattress? Or keep one of these in hopes that the smell goes away by the time I'm ready to put baby in the crib? If it still smells by then I really don't want to deal with having to find a new mattress at that point. I'm so frustrated with it.

I would probably just find a new mattress especially since you ordered another one and still have the same issue.
