Please write what they should have eaten, how many bites they tried and what they ended up getting. This is not to post if they actually ate what was served! For example:
What was made one pot beef and broccoli. He smelled it and refused to eat it. What he ended up eating was leftover chicken nuggets

My kids eat what i put in front of them, because everything is already been screened to extremes... and I’m not saying they’ll happily eat it.
Sun: snack plate, sandwhich, slices of cold cut/cheese, cucumber/tomato, a few crisps (this somehow makes all the difference) Mon: pita bread with meatballs, cucumber/tomato & I’ll add some avocado for dd. Tue: dd will have cod&broccoli, ds chicken nuggets and one piece of fried fish, cucumber/carrots, both will have potato balls Wed: pasta with tomato/zucchini/ground beef sauce (blitzed) Thur: poffertjes (Dutch mini pancakes, to be eaten with icing sugar) Fri: vegetable soup (zucchini/carrot/leek/broccoli/cauliflower, blitzed) & pita/hotdog Sat: this is our normal snack plate day
Half the time the kids get fruit for desert m, the other half a popsicle/ice cream.
ETA I have all the mom guilt about the kids not eating ‘with’ us, but I’m also exhausted with the struggle. Ds cried real tears last week over food. We made a mini pizza at his request (I nearly fell over). At the table he started backing out, I told him he had to take one bite. He cried so much and he said ‘I wished I could eat it and like it’. So for him the not eating is a little different.
ETA and I completely missed the point of this thread... sorry!!!

Sun: pickles & Mac and cheese Mon: pizza lunchable Tuesday: fish sticks and apple sauce (I'll also give her peas, but she won't eat them) Wed: green ravioli (mh and I are so tired of these, but she loves them, so we buy them and freeze them just for her) Thurs: chicken taquitos (she'll actually eat these!!)
This is what she'll eat this week with our menu from the planning thread.

My kids don’t usually eat the grain we serve — unless it’s white rice or white pasta (which we don’t make often). I was frustrating myself by putting it on their plates and watching them not eat it after asking, so I just stopped. I fill their plate with protein and veggies. We eat family style so the food in on the table in bowls or platters so if they ask for the grain/carb, it’s there, but I’ve stopped pushing.

Cadence hates proteins unless in nugget/stick/sandwich form. 90% of veggies are going to get a no, which is weird because those were her favorites as a baby. Rice and pasta has even become iffy as of late. No to most rice, and the pasta has to have alfredo sauce, not marinara. This has to do with her hating tomatoes, but I'm wondering if it might also have something to do with acid reflux.
All in all she likes bread and fruit. But, not all fruit, she hates melons...watermelon, cantaloupe, etc.

My children will NOT eat potatoes in any form except french fries. It's like they don't even KNOW their last name.

S just recently started to eat potatoes after trying some and actually liking them. But it's hit or miss. We'll make the exact same kind he liked and he'll be all excited for them, and then say he doesn't want them.
B hates noodles (I could literally eat pasta every day so I don't get this), but LOVES any form of meatball, meatsauce, sausage, etc. S is luke warm on the meat but loves the noodles, so we often make pasta with some sort of meat. S eats the pasta, B eats the meat, and MH and I eat the whole meal.
Otherwise, the biggest hits for both kids are breakfast for dinner or nuggets/fish sticks
B loves what I call mush. basically ground beef or turkey with rice and any vegetable all cooked together. Favorites are artichoke hearts, peppers, or broccoli.
S hates it. Of course.

I've got my hands way too full with X feeding issues to worry much about it ATM.

Oh and I have to add we often call dinnertime circus NaM! We bring out a book, play I spy, portable turntable, draw funny things and if all else fails or we’re just plain exhausted, YouTube/Netflix... Distraction is often key at dinner time.

I made lasagna; it was delicious. Charlie said, “No thank you, Mama,” and then ate all the blue cheese chunks from his salad and spooned up the dressing.
