We're at a different library than we usually go to and the boys love it. It's really neat! Hoping they dont fall asleep on the way home so they nap good. I can get them back asleep but they won't sleep as long.

*snip* I really try not to give the melatonin every night but he just won’t go to sleep at a reasonable time if I don’t and then he’s a crab. Same. Anytime I dont they're up until 11. Maybe a stupid thought, but melatonin is something the body also produces. Could it be that because they now get from elsewhere the body is making less? When weaning dd of her reflux medication they said to expect it to become worse for a few weeks until the body starts to produce its own anti acids again.

lahdeedah Which drops did they give you? The first set of tubes H had a double EI and we ended up needing stronger drops than the ones we got. Did they give him an oral antibiotic too? ETA the 2nd set he got a fever & a double EI a few days after surgery. He has sulfacetamide sodium and prednisolone sodium phosphate 10%. He has never cried or whined like this ever for any sickness. I would think since the fluid is draining, it wouldn’t hurt, but I don’t know. He’s been asleep for a couple hours now and isn’t wanting to eat or drink much. If he is the same when he wakes, I think I will take him to urgent care so we can test for flu and strep and check his ears. My poor baby.

Hello. DS started his 5:45am hockey practices today. H took him but that meant I didn’t get my usual extra hour or 2 of sleep this morning. DD has a soccer game in a bit then T has his first soccer thing at 5 (it’s like a learn to play thing I think).

There's a little girl here that shares my name. Always surprises me because I don't hear it often.

Do you see fluid coming out of his ears? I was told that tubes prevents the pain from an EI since the pressure can’t build up behind the eardrum. Ciprodex is what we use for an EI now. If you take him to urgent care, I’d ask for that if you still see fluid coming out because it’s still infected. Definitely get him tested for the rest, too. You might ask for an oral antibiotic, too. Is his nose still congested? (I’m basically an ENT now) 😂

wedding I really liked crazy rich Asians! The games went well, but it was hot! Our 4-5 team is like herding cats and one little boy wouldn’t stop crying until I stood on the field with him and held his hand. Our 9-10 team lost, but this is our boys first season in the age bracket so I think they did well. Now I have a beer, we are picking up subs and heading to the pool!

Afternoon, Ladies. I was excited that I could try out some of my new fall clothes now that we have cooler weather. When I came down for breakfast looking all fly, H was like "You know we have the cub scout camping thing today, right?" Um, of course I did. Changed into some joggers and now my camp out game is on point 😉
H took Trav & Ev to get set-up, and now I have a few glorious hours to myself while Theo & Bea nap. The rest of us will head over for the cookout portion later, and then I will bring everyone home while H and T stay overnight in a tent. I'm planning to order in some fishies and take up the entire bed tonight. Woot!

snoopmommymom He just gets stupid and sloppy and has no filter. We have the general rule that he isn't to drink at home when it is just him drinking. I don't see the point of it. If he wants to drink socially, then I'm fine with that. So since we went out last night, but it was just me and him he asked if he could have A beer. Yes, I know, he's an adult and shouldn't need to ask permission, but at where we are at in our relationship, it's just a good idea if he asks. 1 turned into 8 because he doesn't know when to stop and it just put a bitter taste in my mouth(Not literally).

I’m in denial that H might be outgrowing naps! He didn’t nap two days at daycare this week and learned to climb out of his crib. So nap time today has not been going well. He climbed out 3 times and I finally lowered his mattress to the floor thinking there is not way his little legs could reach that high. Then both kids came downstairs 5 minutes later and N said he went into her room and got in bed with her.
So then I went and turned the crib backwards and now he’s pissed and screaming “no mommy!” But at least I think he’s close to falling asleep.

klong11 I drink by myself at home but i don’t get sloppy. MH probably isn’t too thrilled though since he doesn’t drink. I usually only have 1 glass of wine.

Layla has been a trip today. She came stomping into the kitchen earlier today wearing a pair of my boots and said "with boots like these, I'm gonna rule the world!" GET IT GIRL!!
Later I was going through her clothes taking out too small and most of summer, she said "ok mommy if you pick up my room really well I'll give you four of my paper money! OK?" I half considered it, hell I'd like to make money on the weekends instead of spending it all the time.

We got the silhouettes done! It was amazing to see him do it...so fast. Maybe 2 minutes a child?
Side note: he charges $48/child. Also sells mats/frames, and he’s authored and illustrated a couple Children’s books he sells. So bare minimum—just basic silhouettes—he cleared over $5100 for 4.5 hours of work, since he was booked solid (he does two children in each five-minute time slot). Not a bad day’s work. Maybe this is the secret to our compound? Who’s good with scissors? 😬
*poof*

Those are adorable flamingo! mskatiep you do know we are going to be back in the high 80s by the end of the week, right? Went to the chiro again today. It isnt sciatic pain, its just my spine leaning to the left, which is why the lower right side hurts. He made some adjustments, SO MUCH popping, it was making me laugh. I have to go back tomorrow and Monday.

If anyone is at old navy sometime and sees these shoes in a size 7, will you get them for me? Pretty please?! I tried buying them for h in store last week but they only had N’s size, so then she wanted them and now that she has them, I really want H to have them! Our high school mascot is a tiger and the kids think the shoes are awesome. oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1106368&pcid=37045&vid=1&pid=223371002

I love those flamingo Did he just look at them and freehand it? Curious how that works. Yes, the kids sat on a stool in front of him in profile, and he uses these tiny, ultra sharp scissors on what looked like black contact paper (it's doubled up so you actually get 2 mirror images) and just looks at them and cuts. It's one continuous cut, too, which was even more amazing to me (like peeling in apple in one long strip). He has an assistant sitting next to him, and when he's finished cutting she peels the backing off and applies it to the cardstock. Apparently he's the 2nd or 3rd generation in his family to do this. His name is Clay Rice, if you're interested in looking him up.

I took him to urgent care to test for flu and strep, but both were negative and his ears looked ok. While we were there I noticed he was drooling a lot. His shirt was soaked. When she did the strep test I noticed one of his top teeth had broken through the gums, so now I’m wondering if it is teething pain. I just don’t know if teething would cause him to be like this. He has literally never looked so pitiful. Anyone else have a kid that had bad teething experiences? I think I heard or read at one time that the older they are when they cut teeth, the worse it hurts, but not sure if I’m making that up??
