We went back to the festival for a couple of hours. I was kind of annoyed because one of the rides that DD1 and DD2 had already been on told us that they couldn’t ride without an adult. Even though the sign only says you have to be 42” and they are both 45”. And, ya know, had been riding it earlier that day. 😒

snowyowl I just did the same thing today -- a trim because my brother's wedding is next week and I need a bridesmaid updo, when I really wanted to chop. Next time!

I’m going to have a drink now. Because walking around for hours with your small children needs a reward.

I'm going to barter a back rub for sex tonight. Either that or I'm going to fall asleep in the bathtub after eating too much shrimp pasta.

I have successfully gotten DD hooked on watching baking shows with me. DD loves The Great British Baking Show and it brings me so much joy. I'm rewatching all of the old seasons right now so I can get to the new ones on Netflix. C is finally starting to get into it with me. I recently bought him a set of knives too.

I might have some wine after the kids go down, but I might also just pass out. First week back at work and I am not used to getting up early, standing all day, and being “on” for six classes a day. My brain is fried. I also have a haircut tomorrow. My PP hair loss is horrible. I have bare spots on either side of my bangs. I desperately want to cut it super short, but my sister’s wedding is next week, and I am not doing an experimental new haircut before I’m immoralized in a million family photos. Next haircut though. Chop. It took me like a decade to chop my hair and I am so glad I did!

Are you happy with the knives? Link, if so, please.

The bottom fell out at soccer practice & we got head to toe soaked putting everything away, literally dripping wet. Drove the 6 miles home & it was white puffy clouds & sunshine. SMH
So I've had neighbor kids in & out all evening & I walk a couple miles with my next door neighbor. I'm about to shower because we have an early morning & I want to "sleep in" until 6:30

What's wrong with these babies today?? DD has been the same way today Yup. Mine sleeps at night but is almost harder than the preschooler to get to nap during the day. Today I am thankful for baby swings and vodka Same. Except she doesn’t give a shit about baby swings. We have to rock her juuuuust right time get her to sleep. She sleeps like 10 hours through the night so I’m just going with it for now.

They are useful but I will definitely get something with a real blade when he's a bit older. You can really only saw with them so it's not teaching knife skills but it is getting him more interested in preparing food. My days would we a dream if not for the preschooler. Thank Jesus library programs and preschool are back in full swing next week.

We’re at the rehearsal dinner for my cousins wedding and A has spiked a fever. Luckily I had thrown some Motrin in the diaper bag before we left, so I got her dosed up and now we’re sitting in my aunts car watching Tangled. I’m hoping someone looks at their phone soon and sees my request for a margarita. LT bc I hope you get that margarita!

Also he took a very special necklace off my nightstand, lost the gold and diamond pendant, and then tried to flush the chain down the toilet today. After an hour of searching and crying I found it and didn't murder him. Oh yeah. And he fucking peed in the rocks at the playground at the park. DRINKING!

When he can remember to not keep his free hand on the cutting board while chopping then I'll give him a paring knife.

There were definitely some nights he got up more than I did. We are 5.5 months into this and things are so much better with her.

Easy dinner for me and the toddler. Baby is sleeping, thankfully. The house hasn’t rented so it looks like we’ll be here for another month, which is not a bad thing bc I can at least put the toddler in school, which I already paid. MH will be OOT for an extra week but hopefully he’ll find out new place so we can just get settled once we leave here. This might be an OU but I LOVE PNW rainy season, sad I won’t see it this year. I am not going to know what to do with myself next week when the 3.5 yo goes to school 3 mornings a week.

POOF
Don’t mind my ugly door. That will hopefully be fixed soon.
