I’m in line at then DMV (again). It opens in 45 minutes and the line is already 15 deep.
I’m going to treat myself to breakfast out after this ordeal.

Morning! C is sick, trying to decide if it's worth a dr appointment or wait it out. L is also stuffed up and was up a few times throughout the night. Guessing low key day here today! I was supposed to take C to a big dinosaur exhibit at the zoo today, which is a bummer.

Hi. Currently browsing Paw Patrol lunch boxes for C online. I was hoping to find something in a pink shade, WITH Chase (her favorite) on it, to complement her pink backpack. But alas, this seems to be a unicorn. So girlfriend is going to have to pick b/n pink Skye & Everest, or red/blue Chase and pals. This is the first-worldliest of FWP's.
I'm taking the kids for haircuts this morning; they don't take appointments so planning to get there right when they open. I'm sure it'll be a madhouse with everyone getting ready for back-to-school, I may need a drink afterwards! We'll probably stop at the library on the way home.

flamingo ds often comes with these weird impossible requests and (at least over here) I found a website that lets you upload a picture and pick the colour of the lunch box. It has helped me tremendously:)!

Morning! Good luck with J's cast today peachsmama! I hope the line moves fast and you're on your way to a delicious breakfast soon guster! I hope C feels better quickly wineallthetime! All this back to school talk reminds me of a conversation Evie had with me one night when I was laying in bed with her. We were talking about school starting and she started crying. I asked what was wrong, wasn't she excited, and she said she's worried the kids will make fun of her. It broke my heart. Then she said she was worried she was going to fail because she can't make a 5. How do 4 year olds have this kind of pressure on them already? I told her people would love her and she'd make lots of friends. But it's made me realize I should have found different daycare for her so she had more exposure to other kids. So now I have anxiety about sending her next week. |

mwhip FWIW. I don't know how much a different daycare would have made a difference. Dude had been at the same school since he wasn't twelve weeks old and he was still really nervous yesterday. There are probably 40 kids at his former center. It seemed like telling him that everyone is worried about their first day, even teachers, made him a little more comfortable. I'm sure she's going to do great.

Every once in a while Layla will tell me that she is ugly and I about go all mama bear trying to figure out who is poisoning my daughter's mind with body issues this early. I've narrowed it down to one of my teenage nieces talking about herself, not Layla.
I think kids absorb so much that we don't even realize they are exposed to. I'm not sure that a different daycare would have helped much, kids are basically kids. I hope that Evie has a great time at school. People will love her and she will be making a 5 in no time!

So don’t doubt your choices. |

I’m back home. took myself to the drive-through at Chick-fil-A (still not a favorite, more for you, flamingo!), but my chicken biscuit was free bc the window worker told me they give away breakfast every Tuesday in the fall? |

I put Layla to bed and I was in bed by 7:45 last night. I'm still exhausted. I'm wondering if I'm possibly experiencing pregnancy anemia. This just feels like more that normal pregnancy tiredness. I have a Midwife appointment tomorrow, so I will request a blood draw to check. Has anyone experienced anemia? What did it feel like? Did you manage it with diet or meds?

Thanks guys, I'll try talking to her more about it. They do absorb so much. mskatiep I didn't have anemia, but I remember when I was pregnant, Easter weekend, so the end of 1st tri I believe, I came home from a family get together and fell asleep at 7 and didn't wake til 7 the next morning. Glad you have an appointment tomorrow to rule out anything more serious. |

It looks like they did away with their pumpkin cream cheese muffin and replaced it with a pecan maple one. I'll still try the pecan maple, but I really liked the pumpkin cream cheese. I'll just have to make my own now.

I never tried the muffins but the pumpkin loaf is my favorite. I actually found a really good dupe recipe last year for it. |

mskatiep I wasn’t anemic, but I could fall asleep any given point of the day, beyond exhausted.
