I feel like I'm getting a cold. I hope it's just my allergies in over drive. I've also been nauseated all day. I think tomorrow I'm taking my first sick day of this entire pregnancy.
I also feel like DS has dropped lower, like my lower abdomen/pelvis feel...more full? It's weird. DD either never dropped or I never really noticed it because she was big and took up so much space anyway. This pregnancy has been a totally different experience.

I cannot wait to go home. We really thought we'd get to be heading home tonight but Lily has to hang out under the bili lights all night and for sure part of tomorrow. I'm technically discharged right now but get to stay so I can feed her still. Hopefully tomorrow is the day!

Today is DS's last day of daycare. Since I'll be off this year we put him into preschool. He's been going to daycare since he was 9 months old, so this will be a big adjustment. I will probably cry this afternoon when I pick him up.
I also went to a chiropractor for the first time today. My doula suggested it as a way to help prepare for labour (and hopefully get this babe to come on his/her own). It was a good first experience and I think I may continue after baby comes, at least for a little while.

I finally packed my hospital bag yesterday and put a list on top of the last minute things to go in. Today I wrapped the siblings gifts.
I got them Jellycat stuffed animals - a dinosaur for DS and a little grey racoon for baby. They're so, so soft and so cute! I didn't want to wrap them quite yet cause I wanted to cuddle them myself! 😂 We also got DS a little "crafty" gift from us - one of those toddler button art sets. Hopefully he'll enjoy that!

Finishing my hospital bag, including writing a last minute items list, is on my to-do list for this weekend.
As is washing all the NB through 3M sized clothes we have.
I've been debating whether or not moving around car seats should be done this weekend too, but since part of that includes moving DS to the passenger side it makes it less convenient to get him in/out once I make the switch. Part of me thinks I could just wait until I go into labor to take care of that but the planner part of me wants to check it off the list now.

I am having the worst time with guests. From one group stopping by unannounced while I’m topless on the couch to one today sticking her finger in baby’s mouth to use as a paci... the rage! People are so rude. Feels good to vent.

OMG mirabelle, big hell no to both of those situations. I would have made it very clear to all involved I was not happy.

mirabelle, I would probably lose my sh!t. I keep having to move people's hands as they try to touch my belly right now and I'm sick of it. I don't know why people think these things are appropriate.

mirabelle Omg I would lose my mind at someone sticking their finger in my baby’s mouth. What are people thinking?!

Oh no mirabelle! Please vent away - neither of those things are ok. What's wrong with people? Geez.

Nymeria I would go ahead and do the car seats now. It's going to be inconvenient to have your DS on the opposite side than usual regardless of when you do it, so you may as well just start getting used to it now and not have to worry about it later 😊

Tonight DD1 tried to feed dd2 blueberries and crackers, tried to put three different toys in her basinet and tried to pick her up numerous times. We are going to have to be very diligent to keep DD1 from showing too much "love" to dd2 haha.

My cold is still holding on strong for over a week. I may run to urgent care tomorrow because my ear is hurting so bad and my breathing Has been awful. I can hear the crackling and still so much mucus in my cough plus I'm asthmatic and using my inhalor quite a bit.
Tomorrow is DD's first real day of ballet class and I'm nervous to hear how she doesbevauseparents can't stayand she's not used to me leaving her. Also, I'm reallllly struggling with bath time and this giant belly. Anyone have any hacks to help? Kid is afraid of the shower, so thatsout.

pixiepink24 I'm sorry you're so sick! I hope you're on the mend soon. Bathtime with the belly is a challenge for sure! Sometimes I can convince DS to stand up in the tub while I scrub him down and that helps instead of him sitting. Would your DD take a shower with you? DS will do that and play with a few toys towards the back of the tub and my body blocks majority of the spray. Then I kneel down and take the removable shower head down to his level to wash him when I'm ready. I hope your DD has a great first ballet class! How cute!

tbirdloveThanks! Yeah, DD is afraid of the shower and freaks out about water on her face so shower is out. Even just sitting on the edge smooshes my belly in. She's also at such a rebelling stage. Last night, I asked so nicely for her to stand up Lipe 5 times so I can wash her, and she refused. Bathtime has been resulting in tears for both of us lately. Ugh, and I'm up with pregsomnia mixed with an ear that keeps popping with sharp pain. 😩

pixiepink24 - Hope you feel better soon. No tips on bath time, DS has just been coming in the shower now but thankfully he seems to enjoy it.

If he refuses to stand up, then I can lean on one forearm on the edge of the tub to help support my weight or even just put one hand in on the floor of the tub in the water to help hold myself up that way! Then I just scrub the kid as best I can one handed 😉 How old is she again? Maybe you could start teaching her how to help wash herself a little bit!

Crazy to think it is now September! H and I were looked at the number of days until baby yesterday and that set me into nesting overdrive. Quite a few things planned to accomplish over the next two weekends so I can hopefully relax the last few weeks.
