My MIL came over to watch H so I'm at work. I'm really happy to not be listening to Wheels on the Bus or the ABCs. L breaks out into "wheels on the Bus" at LEAST 30 times a day. She gets all the words wrong. "The wheels on the bus go beep beep beep. The horn on the bus goes Shhh Shhh Shhh". It's cute, but I feel really bad for her if she has a continuous loop of that song in her head at all times... You need to introduce her to Who Let the Dogs Out.

I hate starting the day off in a bad mood wineallthetime . Try to turn it around by listening to some peppy music. I'm still in awe the Baja Men have had their second coming as Who Let the Dogs Out is going strong amongst the youth at the skating rink. I was shocked when Maddie knew the song. I can still hold out hope that the train song will rise again. Not Hey There Delilah Train, Come on and ride it, it's the choo choo, come on and ride it, it's the choo choo train.IFLY for this. That song gets me in a good mood instantly!

I'm here. I was up until 11 getting work done since we've been working at our house all week. We just didn't have the budget to hire a painter after some hick ups with our basement. So We're painting ourselves and holy crap. I hate painting lol. We can't get everything done because a lot of dry wall work is still needed but we need to get laundry and most of kitchen done so we can install our appliances and get that inspection done. Painting is a pain. If I have the time (alone) it's not too bad. I tried to do M's room one day with everyone home and that wasn't great, so I'm only continuing if I have the time alone. I find it easier to do the cutting in on one day or block of time, and the rolling on a different day.

I’ve been operating all morning under the idea that today is Thursday. That is sadly not the case. tgrimes’ gif makes a lot more sense now. 😂🤦🏻♀️ No telling when I would have figured it out if my friend hadn’t corrected me...hopefully before I showed up at her house at 7 tmrw morning to take her to the airport.

peachsmama , oh man. I hate painting. Does every single room need to be painted? Ceilings need 2 Coats each because I'm changing the color. Trim and doors need a coat. And every room has to be painted. The whole house was painted an antique White in a flat paint. I have no experience in choosing house stuff, but I would have chosen granite countertops and hired a painter if it came down to it. Is quartz that much more special than granite? Someone school me.

My boss just randomly handed me $20 in Kohl's Cash that he doesn't want. Looks like I'm going to online shop today. Anyone else have spare Kohl's cash??? I'm taking donations

Hi from the field trip bus. One girl was dressed in a Disney princess gown and wasn’t allowed to go, poor thing was crying of course. Thank goodness B’s clothes fit her that i ran home to get so she could come. All is right in the world now, phew.

Quartz is generally the same price, and requires zero maintenance whereas granite water stains easily and requires a sealant regularly.

That is not cool to not let her go. Gown or not. Did she not have some shorts or something in her cubby to change into? Surely the playground would have still been suitable for someone dressed up. Kids tend to work around it. If I were the parents I wouldn't be happy. I hope they get their money back.

At story time in Cadence's new class the mostly listen to stories on cd. Cadence is on Cloud 9 because she is apparently the book holder. When the cd goes "ding" you turn the page and Cadence says shes the only one that listens to the ding, so she gets to hold ALL the books. LOL It's the little things.

Wearing a gown at an indoor playground isn’t allowed, she’d trip, fall get caught etc, total safety issue. There weren’t any changes in her cubby and the daycare extras were all 2T-ish. This is on the Mom who didn’t read the calendar.

lfig. TTMA laser hair removal. I’m thinking of doing it. How long do you go between sessions? How many sessions does it take to be “complete”? I go once a month for 6 sessions. I paid $100 per each “small” area I did through a Groupon. I am doing underarms, bikini line, upper lip, and chin. So I paid $400 total. Today is my 5th session, one more to go. I have also gotten electrolysis on my eyebrows. It’s permanent, whereas laser is only supposed to last about 10 years.

Pool guy just showed up to commence the draining of the pool. It'll be out of commission for at least a week or so. Naturally the one time something on this house happens on time, and it's like the worst week ever.
He was asking me all these questions, and I'm like, "Dude, I have no clue, I didn't install this thing, it's not my house, and I'm not wearing a shirt with a pool company logo on it." I didn't actually say that, though, just played dumb until I guess he got tired of dealing with me and said he'd figure things out.

Sucks for the kid--and A++ for the wonderful vino for being able to help out--but this is on the parents, not the school.

I got an amazing deal on the quartz that I'll likely never come across again. I had to do it. My quartz was $95 per square foot. I'm getting it for $35..

I think it might be better if you wait until after your pregnancy. From what I’ve heard, pregnancy hormones can cause hair regrowth.

The bruise on the side of my hip the next day, ouch!

H's rash/hives is no better this morning, if anything worse. When I went to the derm for my annual check, I told the receptionist what was going on, and she passed a message along to the doctor he saw. They want him to come back today at 3:30 for a biopsy. I told him I'd meet him and home and go together, in case they send him to the ER for the IV.
