Me and my mom are taking the kids to the park this afternoon. Pretty sure I'm just throwing some Nutella sandwiches, cubes tofu, and diced peaches at them and calling it good. A Nutella sandwich sounds delicious right now. I mean, does it ever not sound delicious? |

We opted not to do the biopsy today. The dermatologist said shes still certain it's an allergy to something and a biopsy would just tell us the same, but the results wont be in for a week.
So he now has a vat of steroid cream and she said if he doesn't feel better tomorrow morning, to go to the ER. He already put it on his arms and it isn't helping.

Hi, I had some Internet issues so just checking in now. I also feel off and cranky today. Thankfully, I have a girls night tonight. I like to run out as soon as H gets in but the friend who is picking me up doesn’t go out until her kids are in bed so I have to wait. I have not been away from my kids for more than an hour since June so I need tonight. She’s either a way nicer or crazier wife than I am. I’m like, ‘Tag, you’re it!’ as I run out the door laughing maniacally. Enjoy your night out! You and me both! "They've been fighting nonstop, have fun! Don't wait up!" |

I went to target after my appt and spent too much money. Getting ready to make the 2 hour drive home. I have popcorn and a soda from Target to munch on and sip on the way home. Our Target just renovated and I am so salty that our cafe is gone. I got popcorn and a drink about every other Target run. I want to complain to corporate. They replaced it with a “customer service/return” area. 😒 |

M2’s tubes procedure is scheduled for 2 weeks from tomorrow. The appointment was easy and I was out of there about an hour after I signed in. We drove to a shopping center one exit away so I could browse a few stores and he could burn some energy. He slept the whole way back.
When I got home I noticed he had a diaper rash that I am hoping is not HFM. He doesn’t have a fever or the spots anywhere else, but when I noticed the sign at school and asked the teacher about it she said something about checking the babies when they changed diapers, so I’m thinking that’s where it’s starting for most of them. I put cream on him and will wait to see what it looks like in the morning. If it is just diaper rash, the cream usually helps and it’s gone by morning. Please don’t be HFM! 😩

Well, to top off my shitty day dh and I just got in a huge fight that ended in him raising his voice and me staight up yelling. Ugh, I make it a huge point not to get in those ridiculous huge fights in front of the kids because I’m scarred from my parents fighting like that every night of my childhood. I mean, they were all upstairs but I’m sure the heard us yelling. Now I feel like a shitty mom on top of everything else.

When you say cubes of tofu, how do you prepare it? Sometimes I bake it but I also keep the Trader Joe's teriyaki tofu on hand in case I need some in a pinch. I just cut it up in bite sized pieces and they love it. It's one of the few things X will eat pretty reliably. Speaking of, we had a little victory this week: he tried to eat a popsicle! The therapist had been wanting him to do that but he wasn't having it no matter how much I offered then all of a sudden the other night he was all about it.  |

FX it's not HFM lahdeedah ! cagoldi Go X! Glad he enjoyed the popsicle. My kids love eating them in the bathtub, which is kind of perfect...no mess! Plus I think they get a kick out of doing something kind of silly like that. Maybe you can try if he needs encouragement to keep it up. |

Hey. I met a friend at the movies after dinner tonight. We saw crazy rich Asians and I thought it was pretty good. Now I’m dying my hair, hoping the color is pretty much the same as it was before I dyed it, but with no grey. xolastunicornxo I’m sorry you and yh got into it tonight, me and DH did too but right in front of the kids 🤦🏻♀️ you’re not a shitty mom, sometimes these things happen. Sounds like it’s a rarity and not the norm for you. |

Thanks guy @trtkcrzy flamingo and cagoldi. It just makes me feel awful. I have a horrible temper and I work so hard to keep it in check, but he pushed me over the edge tonight. (And most of the time he’s wonderful, but sometimes he just digs in so deep when he’s in the wrong and it makes me see red) so now we are sitting on the couch ignoring each other. |

xolastunicornxo we’ve all been there. Don’t beat yourself up about it!! The fact that you are aware of how it affects the kids and make strides to avoid it speaks volumes to the kind of mom you are. Everyone has a bad moment occasionally

@xolastunicorn don’t be to hard on yourself, things like that happen. It is also important for kids to see/learn that, yes people fight/yell, but they can also make up.

Plus if you never ever saw your parents fight, you may get a false idea of relationships. I don’t like Nutella. A little here and there but a full sandwich would make me gag. |
