MIL went and bought the kids new backpacks. C needs one for school and L wantsone, of course. At first I was annoyed because I wanted to take C to pick one out, but they love them and I didn't have to pay for them, so thanks MIL!

Thanks guys! Vacation was great, we had so much fun. Except for H, who had a cut on his leg, which he used a band aid to cover, and ended up with an allergic reaction, resulting in a chemical burn on his leg. After being in lake water with it for 4 days, he had to go to the doctor because his entire side of his calf was bright red. We found out it had an infection, so he got an antibiotic, which then resulted in hives, that he has had for over a week now, and aren't getting better. We are on trip 4 (I believe) to the doctor in a week, yesterday he saw a dermatologist and I went with him. She said if the steroids and antihistimines don't work (which he's been on for a week, just higher doses), he needs to go to the ER for a steroid IV. He missed Friday and Monday at work due to the pain/itchiness, and yesterday, (TMI alert) his groin area was so swollen, he couldn't button his jeans.

So not going to go out today. E just had a major poop-explosion. Right after I changed another full poopy diaper and after I got her in the car seat. It went everywhere. So now I'm cleaning a car seat.
You know what would be a smart idea, making spare car seat covers. Do they have this already and I'm just in the dark?

What's crazy, is this isn't the first time he's had a reaction to a band-aid, it's actually the 3rd, but this is by far, the worst. Everyone doctor and nurse who sees him is floored. He had the steroid shots in his butt Friday, and it's continued to spread. He just sent me a text that he's leaving work for the day, because the sun/heat makes the hives worse. I see a trip the ER in my future. FML. That sounds awful...I do want him to feel better. But the amount of money he has spent on copays to doctors and on prescriptions is killing my bank account. Thinking about what the ER visit is going to cost makes me want to run away. But he needs to get better. |

Not the real thing, but more like a matras cover for your car seat. I'm hoping for one from the actual company that will snap into the infant carrier like the real one does. Because the poop leaked through to the plastic. |
