I finally got around to ordering Josie’s backpack. So cute. And I saw about 100 of them I’d like for Charlie, but has an a whole year before he needs one.
I just love back-to-school shopping. Most of the things I bought for Josie are 5T, and I tried them on her yesterday and they are all too big. She really needs the length of a 4T with a 3T waist.

Morning! Took the kids to the library this morning to get some books on dinosaurs, which is their current obsession (besides zebras of course, ‘cos they’re forever according to ds).

My parents are leaving for vacation tomorrow, so to keep their kitchen clean, they’re coming over for dinner tonight. Moroccan grilled chicken, salad and Turkish bread on the menu.

My 4 year old boy and 8 year old girl both wear size 6 clothes now.

guster you just described my kid! She pretty much lives in carters leggings because they are the only things that fit her well.

I just bought like 7 pairs of size 6 pants! I don't think we are ready for zipper and button though, so I'm a bit concerned about finding jeans that work.. hoping cat and Jack add the pull on ones to the boys section soon (and have a sale).

Have a lot of luck in Old Navy and Gap 4T, but I haven’t made it to the mall yet.
I just bought J shorts over the weekend at Kohls. Size 4T. And @nam, yes, thank goodness for adjustable waist. I had to pull them as tight as possible.

I’m home doing laundry and packing. We leave this afternoon for AL. M is super excited to get on the airplane again. I’m interested to see how H does now that he can hear.

I’m really not looking forward to this trip. But I get to meet lahdeedah so it will be worth it!

Morning! Wfh today and would like to finish trimming the bushes I didn’t get to last Friday. But I should probably get some real work done first.

Just slammed a half a cup of perfect temp coffee with leftover mini donuts from the fair. Mmmmm

The kids are going overnight to my parents tonight so dh and i can go volunteer at the fair. We have the tough job of selling beer. Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow!

Morning, finally a sunny day! We have some errands to run this morning and then tonight my dad and stepmom are coming to stay for the weekend. DH has a softball tournament out of town and I have to work so they’ll hang with the girls. I need to get the room ready for them, it’s currently a pillow/blanket graveyard.

guster twins. H is solidly in 4t and I don’t see her outgrowing it any time soon. Same happened last fall, I wanted to get her new bts clothes but thought it was silly because she didn’t really need anything.

Does anybody have or remember where I can find that article about Internet Moms groups? Wasn’t a knock on them, but an article that explains how helpful and supportive they are? It was probably two years ago.

I’m so pissed. Our flight to Chicago was cancelled and the only flight they were able to get us on had long layovers and didn’t get us in till 11. So we rebooked for tomorrow morning

I’m pissed bc
1) now I feel in limbo today. Like what do I do? We were supposed to be on our way already!
2) my parents were supposed to watch the kids tonight so we could go out on Chicago alone. Now we won’t get to do that.
3) we were supposed to meet dapostrophe and her family tomorrow. Now I don’t know if that can happen

I remember @mellocello ordered some stuff from them back in the day but can't recall if she ever said how she liked their stuff. I've been tempted to order some leggings a few times. They had some rose gold foil leave print pants last Fall that were gorgeous.

If you sign up for their VIP status, you get two pairs of leggings for $24. I think you can cancel at any time.
I went really plain and boring to start. a high waisted 7/8 length in black and a grey capri (which I’m sure will actually be 7/8 length on me and the 7/8 length will dip below my heel)

I saw one like that on Scary Mommy this week. Maybe they recycled the old article?

ETA I would try to do something really fun that would take up a nice chunk of the day in stead of being at home and frustrated! The zoo, cool museum, nearby beach/lake/swimming area etc.

Cadence is currently only wearing dresses, skirts, and shorts all of which are 6s. I imagine come "winter" I"ll be buying size 7 leggings. Girl is tall.

Ryland is still solidly in 4t short and pants. He can do a 4t or a 5t shirt. I’m kind of glad he hasn’t moved to boy clothes yet because toddler clothes are cuter!

Nothing much here today. I just finished bbm and I need to go to the gym but C is snoozing on my chest. I think I’m going to run out to total wine and more and Carter’s today.

In other news, my life has gotten exponentially harder in the last few days now that C is full on crawling.

I need help. C is already standing and cruising (I’m shocked my other 3 didn’t even crawl until at least 10 months. He went from sleeping 7 hours straight to waking up every hour, standing up, then if I don’t pick him up, he falls and smacks his head on the crib. I know bumpers are now a no (other kids all had them). He used to get his legs stuck so I bought the mesh and have that in the crib. If I put him in a sleep sack, will that prevent him from standing? I almost moved him to the pack n play last night because I thought he’d get less hurt in there.

jewels my friend’s flight on Tuesday was canceled and they couldn’t get another until Thursday so they ended up driving to Florida (they had a cruise to catch and couldn’t wait.) Were you flying Spirit?

Also, I’m probably in the minority but I would put a bumper in the crib. If he’s old enough to be standing in there, I think he’s past the dangers.

Again this is against everything everyone says and I totally understand if you’re not comfortable with that . But that’s probably what I’d do
