mrspiatt, ask your OB to call in Dr. Jack Newman’s All purpose nipple ointment. It is literally a godsend. I went from tears at feeding and my nipples literally peeling off to healed up in less than 24 hours. It’s a compounded ointment so my insurance didn’t cover it but it was totally worth the $60. I wish I could give you mine. I will check on this, thank you! I’ve avoided nursing as often as I usually do because it hurts so bad. He eats so often because he doesn’t hold much down.

I also found that lanolin helped ease the pain a little. I totally dreaded nursing and pumping. The APNO is a steroid and antibiotic. It’s awesome. If you google it there are some OTC hacks to make your own if you want to try that first.

Definitely get some APNO. It is amazing. I think it’s the only reason I was able to nurse E for 6 months.

I know most people don’t have an 8 month old or a 4.5 year old. But is it too much to ask for people NOT to scream in the hallway of a hotel at 8:00 at night? E has already woken up twice.

Quick check into say hi. On the train home and the express is super slow. I think we got stuck behind a local. I just want to get home to my kiddos. I have a feeling that E will walk before A. She is getting bold about her cruising - trying to reach further for something to hold onto, etc. The girls are only taking 1 nap at daycare and then doze on the way home (maybe 20 minutes capnats). Somedays they go from 12:30 to 8 without sleeping. Should I push for the daycare to get a second nap? They change rooms in September, and I’m not certain what the nap schedule is for that room. Wow, how much sleep do they get overnight? Depends - if no catnap, down at 8 and up a little before 7. If the catnap, closer to 8:30. ETA - the naps at school range from 1 to 2.5 hours. Most often 1.5.

I'm sorry about the thrush mrspiatt. Wow grumpycat! I've been working on signs with H looks like I need to be more consistent. It seems like he does it anytime he wants food. Like while feeding him solids tonight, he signed every time he wanted more. So he's communicating but may be a little mixed up on what signs to use lol.

My baby won’t fall asleep at my ILs house tonight! It’s a full 90 mins after his bedtime!

grumpycat, I think I read that book! Will watch one day I'm sure. ldubhawksfan, yikes, good luck with the rest of the night! bethers,I think they say 14 hours of sleep for babies our kids' age? So if they get 11 hours at night and a 2.5 hr nap they're getting close, but that's still a lot of awake time! How crabby are they? DD sleeps about 7-6 and then has 2x 1.5 hr naps in a day. But I find my kid is on the sleepier side.

Then they ate fine until we go to put them asleep and sometimes they are just overtired and fussy. With my work schedule, I really cannot get them down much earlier.

E would absolutely lose his shit if he was up for that long. His max is 5 hours and it’s a painful two hours at the end.
