Today is DS1’s 11th birthday! I can’t believe he’s 11 already. DH took off work and we are taking a few of his friends to Dave & Busters. I can’t stop thinking about how he will be able to drink legally before C is 11. Awww. Happy Birthday to him! |

I’m feeling “meh” today. Just had a little breakdown to dh about how overwhelmed I am because we are making ourselves too busy lately. It’s his personality to go, go, go but I’m much more of an introvert so I’m at my max. The rest of the week is super busy so hopefully we can start to slow down next week and get back into a routine. My babysitter will be here 3 out of 5 nights and i just want to be home. I had this conversation with my H last night too, down to the introvert/extrovert thing. I am just not energized by socializing like he is, and sometimes I get pushed past my limits. He likes to tell me my spirit animal is a house cat 😉 |

jewels - We're heading up to Maine, to Old Orchard Beach. My Mom has cousins up there so I spent tons of time up there as a kid. We're renting a 2 bedroom condo right across from the boardwalk so it'll be all amusement rides, water slides, and beach trips. I'm really looking forward to it. That sounds fun! Enjoy!! |

I am jealous of all the end of summer vacays. 2 of my kids start school tomorrow. I have to drop off school supplies/ meet the teacher for my 1st grader and pick up a driver's ed permit application for my oldest today. Talk about how time does fly!
In other news, Evelyn marched up to me yesterday and demanded that I remove her training wheels. I did, and was walking down the driveway to help her try it, but she had already gotten on her bike and rode away 😮 It happened so fast, I did not even have time to get a video. She spent the rest of the day going around the cul-de-sac and showing everyone her new skill. If you pulled into a driveway in our neighborhood last night, Evelyn was riding up to tell you she had something to show you. Didn't matter if you lived there, were visiting someone, or we're just there to do some work on a house 😂

Weird question; ds wants a pat & mat birthday (goofy builders, really popular over here). I’m looking for cheap wooden hammers to hand out to his classmates, any ideas? Ikea? |

At the park. Theres an older sister and brother here, probably 7 and 9 and they are the sweetest playing hide and seek with the boys. Like the girl is staying with J and teaching him that you have to close your eyes and count and to yell "ready or not here I come" after. And pretending not to hear them giggling from their hiding spots and looking for them longer.

Hi! I’m drinking lukewarm coffee on the couch and we’re going to head to the gym once Ryland finishes an episode of paw patrol. Dh has a conference for the next three days and will be home late, so I’m on homework/dinner/bath/bedtime duty solo. I will be doing a wine run after the gym so I can be prepared!

My kids are absolute angels the last few days and I'm enjoying them so much. I know that Atticus is probably going to revert back to Hellbeast mode any minute but when he's pleasant and listening well I'm amazed at how mature he can be.

So they bumped up C's last day at his current store to Thursday. I'm going to the store today to buy the ingredients for my carrot cake because he wants to bring it in as a goodbye to his coworkers. It's time consuming to bake so C is going to help make it on Wednesday.

We are trying to download some videos onto the ipads for our trip. B LOVES Moana. It's really the only video he'll watch straight through. It's not downloadable from Netflix. Any other ideas how to get it on an ipad?
