do they fire everyone in the Sit Room? I'm trying to figure this out. It makes no sense. I would think that theres a conference room, HR, somewhere OTHER than the supposed most secure room in the WH. From what I saw on Rentao's twitter feed this weekend, it doesn't seem normal:

Which seems really weird since I thought it was Secret Service or one of the military branches that guarded the Sit Room?

Regarding Omarosa being fired in the Situation Room, either 1) it’s a lie. She was fired elsewhere but is saying that’s where it happened to make it seem more dramatic and important. This could be either making HER seem important enough to be fired there or to try and cause trouble 2) John Kelly is abusing his access/power and using the room inappropriately

Or the always possible option that this is a plan the administration cooked up to distract us. Because now everyone is talking about Omarosa and her recordings and not the eleventy bajillion things the Trump administration is doing.

(#1 is easy enough to prove incorrect and so far, the statements I've seen are decrying her use of recording in a classified area, not calling her a liar because she was very obviously let go in the China Room. Or wherever.)

tater, of course they didn't. There are loads of ways to get into D.C. from Virginia and the fact that WMATA took such steps (and the police, taxpayer dollars) to keep white supremacists safe and cozy makes me angry. Yup. If they wanted private transport to their rally, they should have had to charter a bus or other private vehicle. There is no way that Metro would have gone so far out of their way for BLM or leftie protestors. Hell, they don’t always even run late trains for Caps and Nats games.

If you're into stats, here's an interesting look at approval rates, Trump, and Nixon:

Was just browsing the list of "On This Day" on Wikipedia and discovered it's SHS's birthday. Will there actually be a briefing today? Also holy crap I'm a year older than her. ETA: Today is also Sebastian "Bucky/Winter Soldier" Stan's birthday. He and SHS are the same age. Bleh. Do not want to share a birthday with that witch. And...I'm 2 yrs older than her. I'm cool with Bucky, though. Happy birthday!

My information is old but I was told there's separate, uniformed security before you enter the SCIF/Sit Room and that you have to hand over your devices.

The former NSA advisor, Jennifer Something, stated there is a box and they take your devices, and if you have to take a call you take in the hall. So if its changed its changed in the past 18 months (how has it only been 18 months?) I assume 'they' would be security. that goes/went for the Sit Room, COS office, etc. any room where classified info is held.

There's almost zero chance the bar on cell phones in SCIFs has changed just bc Trump says so.

Prosecution in Manafort trial expected to rest their case shortly, exactly how soon depends on if judge allows them to recall a witness:

Also if omarosa did not have a clearance shouldn't she not have even been allowed into the Situation room?

It's worth noting that none of the voting machines hacked are in use, and the 11-year-old girl could probably run intellectual circles around most adults, including our president and most of congress. We had three 12 year olds in the middle school I teach at who were able to hack the district level shit and administrator level functions and profiles. Instead of getting them in trouble the district "hired" them and spent all year running new blocker software through their laptops to try and see if they could find something unhackable. The kids got through every single software every single time and by May told me they were bored with the whole thing because it wasn't hard enough. This generation knows computers.
