I’ve got such mixed emotions about this week being almost over. My H takes his final for his class tomorrow, and then he’s got over a week off from work and school. We’ve been looking forward to next week all summer! The sad part is that next week is my last week of summer break. I’m not ready to go back.

You know how many 90 minute increments there are in a night? A lot. That’s how often N was up. 90 minutes to the dot. 😴😴

The big kids are at daycare and DH is working OT so it's just me and the baby. She's just gone down for a nap, after fighting it for 45 minutes.
I need to go grocery shopping and buy some frames so I can finish my pinterest project this weekend.

I think I need to start sleep training. Or get back in touch with that sleep consultant I reached out to a month ago but never followed up because we went on holidays.
I’m exhausted. I can’t do this. But the idea of CIO makes me panic (and I did it with DD, so not sure why it’s so different for N). But I need to do something.

I don’t know how SAH moms do it. You are my heros. At home with both kids today and I’ve nuked my coffee twice without finishing it. Just battled with ds in his room for nap time while plopping DD in front of pbs and I watched her via the nanny cam on my phone. I’m taking 2 mins to myself before going down though! 😂

My H ran out this morning to do a couple of quick errands and was gone for 3 hours. So now I’m sitting outside alone when, he takes care of the boys.
Also, we discovered our cats are talkers. Like a lot. Like at 3:45 a.m.

That is cool bethkate! I think DH woke DD up this morning so she was a bit cranky. She's napping now though! Not much today, I was going to go downtown and apply for her passport, but my friend who works there said don't go Fridays because everyone has a flex day, haha. So we'll go next week. Going to the park to meet some friends for lunch today.

Hi guys! We recently started 1 hr lunch breaks at work (used to be 30 mins) and at first I was annoyed because it means we have to be here for a 9 hr shift instead of 8.5. Well I’m officially a convert because I’ve been able to go home all week to eat lunch and pump. Today it worked out where I buzzed over to my parents house. I got to nurse C instead of pumping! And my mom made me a sandwich lol.

We finally sleep trained DS1 at 18 months and I swore I would never wait that long with any future kids. But the thought of doing it now makes me feel uneasy. Every 90 minute wake ups sound crazy hard though- hugs to you and I hope you figure something out that you’re at peace with.

N only woke up once last night, and fell back asleep on his own. I was still awake for it all, but it's an improvement. According to DC, N has been getting downright hangry when he finishes his puree, so we either need to send more or upgrade to thicker puree. Or both. This kid LOVES to eat.
H asked me to start checking with work about allowing me to go remote if we do wind up moving. And he sent out a resume this morning since he saw a job he liked. So much for taking our time...? (It's one resume, I doubt anything will come of it but LOL dude.)
N definitely has a minor cold. And now I'm not feeling great either... I hope a good nights' rest will help though, I'm supposed to go do an escape room tomorrow and I really don't want to bail.

Thanks pootsen. I haven’t really decided what I want to do. I’m going to try a week of upping his solid intake and see if that helps. He had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and then napped for 1.5hrs this morning which is unheard of. So 🤷🏼♀️ I’ll keep trying and see what happens.

And my mom made me a sandwich lol. I love a long lunch break. For DS1 and now for N, I have time to go to daycare and nurse at lunch. I usually do it for a full year or until they move up to the next room because nap time runs right at lunch. I hate pumping so it cuts a pump and there is less milk to worry about sending each day. I just eat my lunch at my desk when I get back

Now that N knows he can pull up, he does it EVERYwhere. I think his balance must have been what he was working on the last few days. DS1 didn't even attempt standing until he was 10m old, and didn't start actually executing it until close to 11m. N is 9m today...I was not prepared for this.
I am going to pick the boys up from daycare in about an hour and we are going swimming at my mom's. It is hot as hell here so it should be nice. My H surprised me with the fact that he has to work tomorrow. Awesome. I get to take both boys along to get DS1's hair cut. Luckily he likes getting haircuts so I can just sit and watch with the baby.

I've already planned out how I'm going to have them both taken care of next summer so I have my summer break to myself.

Aw yay grumpycat - glad you still got to see it, even though it wasn’t how you originally wanted. The dean encouraged people to leave the area for dinner and the rest of the weekend. Like whyyyyyyyyy wasn't the ceremony rescheduled? Oh well. 🤷

Is anyone else in 9 month sleep regression hell right now? I'm dying. Is that a thing? Because if that's a thing, my baby is in it. A month late, but he's in it. Confident I'm going to get a noise complaint at the hotel next week, 'cause right now I'm surviving the day by letting him cry in his crib for a bit every few hours, because OMFG so much crying.

Girls are only taking one nap at school ...Which means they are a hot mess at bedtime. Had to let A fuss because she would only sleep in me but not in her crib. Not sure how long she’ll stay down for, but glad I put her down before E.

You guys...I locked my baby in the car at daycare pickup today. I auto started it, which requires locking the doors first. I already had N’s door opened when I locked them and put my keys in the cupholder of his door. As soon as I shut the door I knew what I had done. My auto start only runs for 10 minutes and it was 90* degrees. 😰 Luckily the police response time was absolutely amazing. They got there and opened the door just as the car was about to turn off.
The assistant director at the daycare was a huge help. I felt like a total ass. 😭😭😭
