Shout out to dh and ds1 for waking ds2 this morning. And thank you to dh who thought I said "might as well" instead of "he might settle" in response to his question about getting ds2 out of his crib for me. 🤦 Needless to say ds2 is down for a nap already and I'm chugging coffee. Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary so I'm going to run out to Target this afternoon to get a card for dh. I need to pick up a few items I am being gifted from my buy nothing group. I can't resist when people list up books lol. I then repost them when I'm done reading

Morning! We had a huge storm here last night, which woke DS. He was awake from 4-5. But when the thunder stopped I put him back to bed and he was out until 9am, which is UNHEARD OF for him. And the only reason he woke up was because DD1 asked where he was and climbed up on his bed. DD1 and DD2 both got up around 8. Decent night sleep for DD2: bed at 630, up at 10 to eat, asleep by 1030, solidly out until 5 and looking for soother from 530-7 and then back to sleep solidly until 830. Not sure what we'll do today, its wet and gloomy.

Doh grumpycat husband! Probably a good thing those groups aren't a thing here yet, I'd end up with all the books I'm surprisingly not zombied considering baby girl was chatting at 4.45, then pooped, then the teething pains kicked in. After teejel and paracetamol & trying to put her back down 27 times I ended up lying in bed with her on my chest and she fell asleep. No such luck for me: I had just succeeded to maneuver her so I could lie on my side as my alarm rang I went for a swim at lunch so I fully expect to fall asleep on myself early tonight. Also re teething: it looks like it's her bottom canines coming in, so leaving a gap between bottom middles and these. Nothing happening on top so far. How weird/funny is my kid going to look?

Waffle my niece got her molars before he canines so she had 4 gaps but it didn’t make her look funny. Don’t worry!!! I also had a friend who’s baby got their canines first so she was an adorable vampire 😊

DS2 woke twice last night, so much improved from the weekend. We’re headed to the State Fair tonight and I’m very excited to stuff my face, although we’re going again Sunday so I suppose I can save some things for then 😊

Lol at that pic Waffle. B is getting just his top two teeth in now. No idea where the bottom ones are. I guess they don’t all follow the usual schedule. grumpycat I love buy nothing. I used to be part of a really good group then it got too big and “sprouted” into two, and I ended up in the smaller and less active group. I love using it to get rid of random stuff that I don’t want to throw away.

That's what I would do. Bring on the fried Oreos!

Some people do give away legit garbage though (looking at you, lady giving away 20 year old used sunblock).

Paris started army crawling yesterday while I was at work. That's the first milestone I've missed. My mom sent me a video right before I left work, so naturally I cried the whole drive home. I guess it shouldn't be a big deal because the girls have been scooting around for a long time, this isn't a whole lot different, but it still makes me sad that I missed it.
Also, my ILs have now decided that they don't want to watch the girls on Mondays like they had told us they would. I wish they hadn't waited until I was already back to work to tell us this. I knew FIL was apprehensive, but MIL seemed totally happy to do it. Thankfully H's work is really flexible so he can stay home with them. Hopefully I can convince him to meet me for lunch those days!
I'm meeting up for coffee today with an old coworker who's pregnant with her first baby, due in October. I'm excited to catch up with her and it'll be a nice break in the day. It already feels like this week is dragging. I'm so glad I have this Friday off!

grumpycat Tell me more about this buy nothing group! Are there guidelines for how much you can take per how much you list or is it just a free for all?

I got put into a group that is barely active. It’s so annoying. Thankfully someone local created a “spin off/fake” buy nothing that doesn’t follow those real rules and I use that one more than the official one.

Good morning! Today’s my late day at work.
Does anyone have a play pen they would recommend? C loves to crawl around/play but he needs to be contained.
I wish we had a buy nothing group, especially for baby/kid stuff- most of it hardly gets any use before they grow out of it. Our buy/sell page is so saturated it’s hard for me to get rid of anything unless I sell it for super cheap, but then other people want like $5 for 1 used outfit.

E slept in until 5 (amazing) and has been super happy this morning. I had a migraine and had to lay down for a while. Luckily it was before my H had to work so he was in charge of the boys. I have the migraine hangover now but I’m functioning.
Meeting up with a woman later who is buying my bundle me. She might be buying my newborn clothes as well. It’s sad to sell the baby stuff but I’d like my basement back. I’m not selling anything to make money. It’s priced to go. Lol.

Just checked my area for a buy nothing group. They have them in a few cities nearby but they say you have to specifically live in that city.

I hate that now my period is back, so is my acne. I keep having these little pimples showing up. Looks like I’m going to need to go back to my skincare routine.

Morning. Last night was rough with both kids. I put ds down at 7:30 and went in to peak on the windows and him at 8:15 and saw his eyes looking glassy up at me. So I touched him and he was soaked. Poor guy had puked everywhere! He wasn’t even crying though. I would have felt like the worst mom ever if he had slept in it all night. Got him cleaned up, and rocked him, then he puked again. So I got him in the bath and after he seemed fine. I held him and he was exhausted. Luckily he seems fine today. He gorged himself at dinner so I think it was just too much for him. Still my fault for letting him have so much apple sauce after his 2 oz of sweet potatoes. I still feel so bad for him. It broke my heart.
Then DD woke motn per usual.

If my kid would just get ANY teeth that's be nice. She turns 9 months today. E has her follow up about her weird leg thing with our ped today and I convinced them to love C's 9m appointment to the same time slot so I don't have to go back next week.
Both girls slept until 730am this morning which is crazy late in our house. And they're both napping now. So nice.

sarahandben108 bazi I haven't gotten AF back yet, but my skin is back to regular too. I miss my pregnant skin. I've been thinking about getting that Personal Microderm.

N only napped for like 40 minutes yesterday at DC. When H picked him up, he asked the provider if N had just been crying, because his eyes seemed puffy. He looked OK to me, and we both just chalked it up to him being tired. He passed out pretty fast last night.
Get to DC this morning and there's a notice on the counter - Pinkeye has been confirmed in the Infant room. FX we are right and N is just tired, DNW to deal with that! I mean, I haven't gotten a call yet today to come pick him up, and they are usually pretty on top of that. Knock on wood.

How does this baby find everything? He especially loves any kind of paper including but not limited to: crayon wrappers, corners of boardbooks, clothing tags. I vacuum, but I guess I need to step up my frequency.

DS1 is having his first day in undies at school and has stayed dry all morning. Every time I look at the app and see another pee I'm over here like "Fuck yeah, kid!" I am SO glad we are out of diapers except for naps and nights.
I am 90% sure we have thrush. Ugh. This kid is really making sure we never have another baby. I got home grapefruit seed extract and am going to try a few home remedies before bringing out the big guns. It doesn't seem to be affecting N much so hopefully it can be wiped out easily. He has his 9m appointment on Monday so we'll see what it is like then. My poor nipples are so cracked and sore. The universe needs to lay off.
Speaking of N, he is in to EVERYTHING. Now that he moves like a maniac he just won't stop. DS1 was a lazy piece so I never really had to worry about anything. N is pulling up on shit that can't support him or isn't steady, plus he isn't steady. So many head bonks. I know I wished he would move but I think I take it back.

I went to work 10-12 this morning for a summer reading day we were doing. E was with me and was fussy for a good chunk of the time. She slept in the lillebaby for maybe 20 minutes or so around 11:30, and apparently that was enough to throw off her afternoon nap. It’s 4pm and she’s a whiny mess, but she won’t go to sleep. I’m exhausted!

roloma sorry about the thrush! I would ask for some “all purpose nipple ointment” (apno) to help clear it up. Cracked nipples are no good!!
