A starts kindergarten on Friday! First off, Friday? Seriously, my county needs to get their crap together. Secondly, holy cow, how is my first born already heading off to kindergarten?!! We had fun shopping this weekend for supplies and clothes. My mom came with us clothes shopping and A made out like a bandit.

Also, we start on a Thursday. I think it’s good for the younger kids to start mid week but a Friday? Weird.

I tried a disposable menstrual cup yesterday to see if I would want a reusable one. I converted. No more pads or tampons!

I signed up for 3 parent night outs at my community center. We pay 30 dollars total per night and the kids are there from 530-10pm. They feed them, go swimming if over 6 or playroom of under 6 and then watch a movie. Registration opened today and I’m glad we got in.

C shared an upper respiratory virus with me. A summer cold is only one step below a pregnant cold. Hoping for an early bed time tonight for everybody and hoping baby T doesn't get this.

List of symptoms for E.
fever for almost 48 hours (low grade when had meds) would stay low grade after meds but slowly climbs past 101. Stomach ache and vomiting No appetite Headache Said “mommy my mouth hurts”
After he sleeps a little he seems like himself. More playful. But then within 1.5 hours of waking he’s lethargic.
On call doctor to wait it out and call tomorrow of he’s not better.
Could this just be a virus?

My twins are starting kindergarten in a week, 8/14. I wish it wasn't such an early start. I'm used to the East coast where school starts after Labor Day. I'm not ready for summer to end!
We're currently on vacation at a lake with DH's family (approx 30 people!). The kids are having the time of their lives. Swimming, playing with their cousins, hanging out with their aunts/uncles.
We fly home on Saturday, Abigail's birthday (and party) is Sunday, Meet the Teacher night is Monday, and first day of Kind. is Tuesday. It's a busy week next week. Plus my 10-year anniversary on Friday. Lots of milestones!

aydee east coast and already started school. M's preschool is on the county calendar, started on the first. RunsforWineandCarbs my friend works for a system that always has their first day of schoolon a Friday. Something about first day being intense, about this eases them back into school easier. Betweenthelines I hope you can get to work I less than 3 hours. shellyr I hope you feel better soon and T doesn't get this! redandblue and Pizzaslut were also sit in the potty training had to get better eventually camp.

Yesterday wasmy firstday WFH, so of course I had crazy claims. Hopefully today is a bit better. M has his first speech session this afternoon with the private therapist. I hope we like her, she was the only one currently that had an opening that worked for us time wise.

So far so good today, armpants. Yesterday was a complete nightmare. On top of my 3 hr morning commute, I couldn't even get home! It was a mass transit disaster yesterday. H had to come pick me up 😫

I think we're one of the later areas to start school. 9/5 here.

Our area schools always start after Labour day and they do a staggered entry for Junior kindergarten during the first week. One 30 minute visit with just the child /teacher /parent) on the Tuesday, then one day with half the group (either wed or thurs), before starting full day with full group on the Friday. None of this applies to M until next year.

We are currently in a two week staycation. Most of last week was consumed with car shopping. Yesterday I finally bought something. A new Honda Civic. I should get it this weekend.
Today we are heading to Toronto to the aquarium and exploring the city for the day.

Also M woke up at 2:45 asking to go pee. That's good right? Lol. But yawn.
He also pointed to my hair and said 'grey'. I was like 'did you just say my hair is Grey's and he was like ' Ya, see right there's are the bottom '. Um time to book a hair appointment I guess. Lol

School starts here 8/27. I'm picking DS up early from daycare and he is getting a haircut. One reason I'm glad I have boys is that I can keep it short and easier to style.

The trains have been horrible all week so I decided to drive today, not even knowing how the trains were running. I got to work to find out they're running with 90+ minute delays. I made the right decision.

On top of the scheduled track work they are doing this week, which has added to some of the delays, we had some really bad storms come through last night. Lightening struck some signals, basically shutting everything down along the mainline. Fun stuff,

Hey ladies! It has been busy around here, but no major happenings. K turned 3 on the 29th and her party was a lot of fun. I didn't get many pictures. However, this is one of my favorite ones. She loves being owlette. She also loves her new bed and has started telling us it is time to go to bed after reading. Her attitude lately has been horrible though.
