peaseblossom55 I vote B or C. I think a play place is still “too big” for two and not worth the money for that age. Ds wouldn’t have cared at all that we were there. I’ve done about 20 family members (mh’s family is local so invite one, you have to invite them all) at my house for all birthdays and it’s worked out well. A fun themed but simple menu is always my go to.

How many naps and at what times are everyone’s littles down to? I think dd is trying to drop her morning nap and it’s awful tying to make it to her 1pm nap. Some days she’ll sleep from 8-9 or 10 (gets up at 6) and other days like today, she doesn’t go down but is meltdown central by 11.
I remember this stage with ds and I know I just have to push through but it suuuuuucks.

Hooray for the beginning of birthday party planning! I think either of those options will be super fun peaseblossom55 but I’m leaning toward keeping the 2nd birthday small. DS had a blast at his 2nd but didn’t really play with many of the other kids there (mostly our friends kids who he knows). His 3rd birthday party was pretty much his favorite day ever and he looked forward to it immensely. So my plan is to keep M’s party small and at our house and then to have her 3rd party at a play place (probably Gymboree) with more school friends. Once we start doing more kid focused parties, I think we will stop inviting my grandparents and my kids older cousins (currently 5 and 8) and have a family dinner to celebrate in addition to a friend party. All that to say, I think option B is my favorite. Lower effort for you since not at your house but still not as crazy as a play place.

Lakes I pushed M into one nap at 13 months bc I was desperate to have both kids on the same schedule. It took maybe 2 weeks of fighting to keep her awake in the mornings, and now she’s fine. Both kids eat lunch at 11:30 and go down for naps immediately after (so a little after 12). They sleep anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours.

I worry about a home party though in that my sister won’t come and fil will be a mess from cat allergies A home party is my ideal #1 though.

We need to look over our guest list from last year and potential guest list for this year.

Well M has decided she wants to be potty trained today. She took off her pants and pulled on her diaper when she pooped and keeps running over to the potty and trying to take her diaper off. She hasn’t peed on the potty but is so proud when she sits up there. This is weird. And I do not want to deal with it bc I know she will just end up frustrated. Hopefully it’s just a phase for today!

Sil has not confirmed the time for this photoshoot, the location within the rather large park, or told me if I was suppose to be bringing any of my quilts which she requested photos of.
I still can’t decide which dress I should go with. Either way, I still need shoes. Sighs.

Lakes, W takes 2 naps. The morning varies a bit depending on the schedule of the day and he usually has one around 1pm. But if he misses that, I put him down for one around 4 when I get the kids home after work.

Well, we finally announced on Facebook since people who already knew kept having comments and I was tired of deleting them. Of course, smiling is too hard but I actually love how this turned out. Lol

I Iove it thelittleredm! It made me laugh. Our family photos came out that way. I’m just embracing the American Gothic faces they’re making in 98% of them.
