I've eaten an obscene amount of Hi-Chews today and it's only 10:45am. Whats a Hi Chew ?! A chewy fruity candy!

jubilantsquirrel Those look similar to a candy that my grandma always has a ton of. I can't stop eating them when I'm there.

Hi Ladies! I'll do my best to be in and out. We have a last minute weekend with the inlaws and SSIL/nephew. Im assuming they'll all show up approximately 15 minutes into afternoon nap time. Lol. You're still nursing right? I'm all for prideful public BFing but if I had ILs coming I'd make this a fine excuse yourself this weekend. Hint:hide red wine in your bedroom. My thoughts exactly (as I'm typing from my bedroom)!! Good call on the wine. This is their first time meeting M and I'm both happy and nervous. They showed up five minutes before nap time so the nap routine got interrupted and she wasn't very pleased. SMIL was horrified that she wasn't STTN and told me I should be putting whiskey in her bottle. Instead of giving her a stroke by telling her that she also doesn't take a bottle, I just joked that I prefer to just put the whiskey in my own glass. She might fall out when she discovers that she's still in our room. JTTW (Will still take this over another MIL visit)

A chewy fruity candy! Want! Since I can't have regular chocolate candy I've gone crazy for all the gummy chewy sour stuff. Would love to try these! I was just texted a picture of a two pound bad of Swedish fish waiting for me at work. I feel loved.

sophiegrace Have you tried drinking beer to up your supply? I mean, maybe you should take one for the team to make sure she's full before bed. Maybe she's trying to FORCE you to drink.

So I'm in a group on FB: Moms of [Town Name]. Spmeone just posted that they have a nasty spider bite and found the culprit in their bedroom (bitten overnight) and think it's a brown recluse. So some other helpful mom posted a link of spiders native to CT. And then this <<<-- stupid mom chose to click on the link and read about and look at all the spiders. I want to move to a land where spiders don't exist. OMG I want to curl up and sleep for three hundred years and forget I saw that. I saw an article yesterday that a copperhead snake bit a woman while she was sleeping..inside her house...in a town near us. 😰

waitwhat, They're really good, I promise! I actually had no idea these weren't common candies. Now that I think about it though, I don't think I've seen them at grocery stores, but I know Costco sells a giant bag of them. sophiegrace,I loooooove Swedish Fish! As much as I love chocolate, sometimes all I want is a sweet chewy candy! Also, I agree with tgrimes, I think M is making you drink beer, you know, for your supply!

I just overheard a guy say "When I was in Rome, I went to McDonalds. I just had to have a big mac". WTF? If you're in Rome, you eat the amazing delicious pizza and pasta! FFFC: when I studied abroad and then did a month of backpacking, we regularly would go to McDonald's for mcflurries. Sometimes you just need some crap you know. To be fair, we were hungover a lot and it was kind of interesting to see how McDonald's would change things for various countries. Don't worry I did come home and didn't eat carbs for months (mostly bc I think that's what triggered my gluten intolerance and my tummy was not happy with me).

Anyone find some girl rash guards they love? n's water play is in full sun, so her regular swimsuits are not going to work. I see Carter's, target and Hanna have some.
And daycare wants every family to contribute $100 for the end of year gift to teachers..we have only been there a few months, so seems a bit steep? Or am I being cheap? They say suggested is $100 or can do what works for your family, but online option starts at $100, otherwise you have to drop a check which the whole office can probably see and judge you on. Blerg.

That sucks! Of course the online option only starts at $100. Smart on their part though. I would end up paying the $100 but still be kissed about it.

I feel like $100 is a lot for each family to contribute, but I don't have any experience with DCs.

I was kind of assuming this guy was there for a business trip. Just found it weird but I can see how you'd want something familiar when you're there for a long time.

Yea I was thinking $100 sounds like quite a bit. How many teachers are there?

tallb How many teachers are there? How much does it equal for each teacher? For Christmas I spend at least $50 per teacher and in B's room right now there are 3 main teachers. I also always take treats for all the teachers to share and more to give to the kids for a treat. That's Christmas though and I feel like end of the year should be 'saved' for school age children.

Yea I was thinking $100 sounds like quite a bit. How many teachers are there? It's a big center, so there are 3-5 in her class but then floaters. I do love her teachers, so I will pay it. They are not paid enough I'm sure. They give them cash bonuses with it I think.

Eff no to spiders and snakes.
And $100 per kid is a lot to ask, imo.
