Age: 6 weeks
Milestones: social smiles! So much fun seeing her big smiles in response to us instead of gas ;-)
Challenges: i just started pumping to help build a stash for when I go back to work...no fun
Funny/cute story: LO keeps making "serious" faces at us with little furrowed brows...makes me giggle
How are you? I'm good, but starting to get anxious about going back to work even though I have five more weeks...it's just so nice being home but I keep reminding myself that it is the smarter choice for me to work
QOTW: Are you doing anything special for Fathers Day? We'll grill something and I'll try to pull off some last minute homemade gift like I do every year...procrastinator over here

chknma The social smiles are wonderful! Good luck with pumping. Age: 6 weeks Milestones: Smiles, a lot of "talking", and he's making faces. Challenges: He's been having some reflux, and is very fussy after feeding. We got a prescription for it, so hopefully that will help. Funny/cute story: The way he wakes up is so funny. He makes a series of faces and sounds, and does the cutest stretches. It takes like 10 minute and is so fun to watch. How are you? I'm ok. Dealing with PPD, but getting help for it. QOTW: Are you doing anything special for Fathers Day? We're going to visit the tree that was planted in a park in honor of DS1, and then we'll have lunch afterward.

Hey ladies!!! And Happy Father's Day to all of the important men in your lives!!
Age: Turned 10 months on 6.16!!!
Milestones: DD is starting to be a pro in her little Walker (the sit/stand kind, not the push behind kind). She looks like she's driving a bumper car when she's in it! It's been fun and hilarious to watch her! 😉 She started waving and giving kisses a couple of weeks ago and it's so sweet. She's also becoming more independent at meal time - with eight teeth already in, we knew it would just be a matter of time! It takes twice as long to feed her when she wants to feed herself but she loves it.
Challenges: It's tough to hear/see people we know say their kids hit certain milestones at [insert younger age here]. I know it's not a competition and that kids develop different milestones at different stages & ages, but it's just hard sometimes. Part of the reason why I drew back from my BMB for a bit...even though the ladies have been nothing short of awesome.
Funny/cute story: Sometimes when she's not napping and I'm home alone, I'll put her in her Bumbo seat (w/ the tray) and have her in the bathroom w/ me while I shower. A couple of wks ago, I heard this hard tapping noise coming from our metal towel rack. I pulled the curtain back and saw her hanging on to one of the legs of the rack, her feet firmly planted & the Bumbo seat on her butt sticking up in the air! It was the most hilarious thing I'd seen her do in awhile 😜
How are you? Doing ok. Due to our ages, MH & I have been TFAS for three cycles now. I was hoping to surprise him w/ a possible sibling for DD as a gift for Father's Day but CD 1 came in full force today.
QOTW: Are you doing anything special for Fathers Day? We're doing BBQ - smoking a couple of chickens & a pork shoulder and throwing some ribs on the grill!

Sorry I'm so late! Can I still hang out?! Age: 4 months Milestones: He's rolling from back-to-belly in the MOTN, so he's officially belly sleeping. We obviously stopped swaddling his arms, but we still swaddle his body. Challenges: Naps are proving to be tough. Sometimes he sleeps for 3 hours (rarely), but most times he naps for 15-30 minutes and then he's up. Granted, he's happy and smiley so it's not too bad, but he definitely needs better naps. We've tried everything with no success. Even our DC lady has tried some tricks. He's hit and miss. Funny/cute story: He's started eating oatmeal, and this week we'll move to orange foods. Every time we take the spoon from his mouth he starts whining and moving his arms up and down. When he sees the spoon coming back, he stops whining and smacks his lips LOL He's already loving solids! It's so fun How are you? I'm okay. I posted a while ago about some PPD issues and I'm still trying to deal with that. We also stopped BF/pumping so he's on formula full-time. I'm fine with it - my body HATES BF - but some days I struggle. I nursed my DD until she was 15 months, so stopping this early feels like I'm giving up. Which obviously doesn't help with the PPD. It's a weird, depressing cycle right now. Ugh. QOTW: We didn't do anything too special. I mean, we wrangled a 4YO and a 4MO for lunch in public, so that alone is brag-worthy LOL It was a nice day and the kids were very well behaved

Sorry I am being such a slacker with this check in lately! I promise I am coming back to read your responses! I am really struggling to keep it all together with work and life right now. I don't mind my work but I have been working 50 hour weeks since last November and nothing is changing or getting better and it's wearing on me.
Silas's pedi is concerned about his growth and that's freaking me out. He is meeting most of his milestones for a 10/11 month old but I can't deny that he is smaller and hasn't grown much recently. We go back for his 1 year appt and I am going to have a serious talk with the pedi on whether she is going to keep scaring me or refer me to someone who can make a diagnosis.
