I'll start Tuesday's thread. I skimmed through the last few threads and see that all our babies are getting brave and taking little tumbles. What are they going to be up to today?

rebeccabunch Taitai thanks for asking. lil fella seems normal and he also started legit crawling. Not fast but still enough to get himself into trouble. I've also been strategizing how to keep some of DS' toys out of his reach

rebeccabunch CoachTsWife How are you both ladies doing with your mastitis? Hoping you're both better. I had it I think 3 times so far. It sucks! I upped my Vitamin C during...I read somewhere that it helps with the infection and got lil fella working to help empty my boobs as much as possible.

Taitai sounds like you had a great vacation! With a all the food you've had I am totally homesick and thinking of making Lo Mai Kai. If you DS loves it, it's actually quite simple, Maybe your nanny can make it. I found an easy recipe. You can omit the chinese sausage and 5 spice powder.

Wow - duskymonkey is starting things on my time. I like it! Regular day here so far. DS1 has summer school and then soccer, which will keep him busy. LO came with me to the office today, since they are doing monthly pest control at our home. It’s like romper room over here - my employees loooove playing with the baby, so everyone is pretty happy. I think H will meet us for lunch. Maybe açaí bowls? 🤔

I am going to email that recipe to myself and try it. We have a zojirushi rice cooker - I wonder if we could make it in that? Hmmmm...need to check the settings on it.

Thanks for asking duskymonkey. I'm doing better. Went to bed with a fever Saturday night and it broke sometime in the night. Sunday consisted of lots of nursing and pumping and attempts to rest. I'm feeling better today.

The baby was still asleep at 7:30 so I woke him to nurse before daycare and he has a fever. So staying home with me all day. Hoping it goes away later since it’s not very high.
Loft Outlet has cardigans for $12 so I’m going at lunch to stock up.

curmudgeon Like was for the cardigans - sorry about your baby’s fever! I hope he gets better soon. cythe Mine gets hiccups every now and then still. Normally after he jams too many biscuits in his mouth at the same time or if he goes crazy with his sippy cup. He thinks it’s hilarious and laughs at them. rebeccabunch CoachTsWife I hope you both have a good day today! This mastitis stuff better not be contagious - I feel like I have a clog coming on. My right side is really tender and throbbing a bit. Ugh. I’m hoping it’s just a clog coming on and I can get rid of it by nursing a lot on that side and drinking a ton of water. 😩

Taitai oh no that’s.....ew. Baby was crying her eyes out when I left this morning. I think she just wanted milk and so didn’t want me to leave. Broke my heart. I didn’t make it to my barre class this morning and I was late for work. One of those days. Blerg.

Today went better with daycare drop off! H and I are actually meeting for lunch to go see a movie since we’re still technically off for summer break. Then I’ll head back to school and work on more stuff.
I have spent the morning moving my classroom computers around. The IT dept is going to pitch a fit because we’re supposed to have them come and do all that with hooking and unhooking of things (sorry to anyone who works in IT!!!). I’m more of an “ask forgiveness, not permission” person but one day this philosophy is sure to come back to bite me. 😬😬😬

rebeccabunch CoachTsWife so glad you are both doing better! It's 8 a.m. and both boys are still sleeping. I'm curled up under my blanket on my bed because since we don't have air conditioning we open all the windows and use box fans at night to cool the house. It's currently under 70 in my room. We are doing day 2 of potty training. Yesterday he had 3 accidents, but when i made him wipe up the third, something clicked and he used the potty every time after that. Hopefully it carries over.

duskymonkey the toy game is not fun! We had DD1 move all her dollhouse toys to her room because LO is just too mobile now. Thankfully most of her toys don’t have super tiny pieces still. Taitai your post about pest control has me remembering your nightmare with the moving and bugs and stuff in storage last year 😬 I bet LO enjoyed all that love and attention from everyone CoachTsWife glad to hear your feeling better. Your H coaches football doesn’t he? Have the practices started yet? cythe yes to the hiccups. DD2 is not a fan and is quite whiny and pitiful when she has them. bootsorhearts1 Igh for the rough start to your day. I feel you on the baby crys and leaving. Ugh. I need DD2 to be old enough so I can start singing Daniel Tiger “grownups come back” to her - it worked wonders for DD1.

Speaking of tumbling Tuesday...DS took a tumble this morning He was speed crawling after his soccer ball and somehow slipped, did a face plant into the floor and bit his upper lip. There was a lot of tears and a lot of blood but he recovered pretty quickly. No stitches or anything needed but he has a pretty fat upper lip, poor baby 😢

Only one tumble that resulted in a mark and two that resulted in big tears. She usually just want to cuddle after those and then it’s back to it.
We did the library this morning and now I’m enjoying a double nap so I’m getting my workout in.

Heavy storms have knocked out power, but the baby is surprisingly still asleep. I had to check in to make sure he’s breathing because I’m paranoid. Poor thing must feel so miserable.

*snip* CoachTsWife glad to hear your feeling better. Your H coaches football doesn’t he? Have the practices started yet? Yes, he does. Practice starts next Monday and so will my solo parenting fall session. He helps when he's home, he's just not home a lot.
Last week was football camp so I got a little taste of doing supper and bedtime for both boys by myself. During the season he's home for bedtime though, so it is just the daycare-pickup-supper-rush that I'll be doing solo. Most of the household chores and cooking fall on me during this time as well and it is just a grind. I'm trying to get into the mindset but I'm mostly in denial. I go from being spoiled in the summer to....the opposite, lol. Plus during the entire school year I do mornings by myself since he is out the door by 6:30. Wah I don't want summer to end!

Its not the healthiest thing, but she explains in the comments that the cream is needed instead of milk because milk will sometimes curdle under the high pressures. cookingwithkarli.com/instant-pot-creamy-ziti/

curmudgeon, hoping baby's fever is down! Taitai this reminds me of engrish.com doodlemommy, August Blooms, owee about baby...I caught lil fella trying to pull up onto a step stool while I was putting laundry in the washer! Luckily the step stool is pretty stable but it has corners. Bah! I love this age because they are so curious and discovering new things but it's scary because they don't know dangers and have basically not much control of themselves cythe, still hiccuping here like a drunken sailor Also how is E doing with her BMs? I didn't mention but have you tried Spinach in addition to everything else you tried? It really does get thing going and avoid banana. danvers, I think I am going to move all of DS' toys into the cabinets - he knows how to open it now anyways. Hopefully he won't have a meltdown over it but we'll tell him so baby can't get to his toys - he still doesn't quite get "sharing" yet so in this case it will help I think. Also our babies are going to be to be 10 months! the day after! HOW!!???

Had another rough day with baby refusing his afternoon nap this time. He woke up late this morning though and I should've woken him up by 730 but he didn't wake up until 815. I did put him down an hour later for his morning nap though which he did willingly and woke up at a reasonable time so I thought he'd be alright this afternoon but nope...he woke up instantly as I transferred him. Bah! He did fall asleep at 530pm! for about an hour and took a while tonight for him to go down. Hoping tomorrow will be back to normal. Also...DS' classmate has lice!!! So I am itching all over and got him into the bath immediately after coming home from school. I also checked his head with a fine toothcomb. I am paranoid and I think I am going to get lice shampoo and wash his head with it tomorrow and a few days after or whatever is recommended. Anyone has any advice on this? I've gotten them as a kid so I know what to look for...Hubs is horrified when I told him about this kid in school when I was like 9 and I could see the lice jumping on her head! and she was sitting right in front of me in class. She came from a poor family so hygiene for not on top of their list. 3rd world to be expected but I am shocked that it's prevalent over here. Ack!

duskymonkey Oh no to lice!!! I really hope your DS1 doesn’t get it. As danvers reminded me up-thread, I’ve had my share of run-ins with bugs out here. Not head lice though! (Only book lice, mold mites, and termites). I don’t have any suggestions, but I think the lice shampoo can’t hurt. Thoughts and prayers to you 🙏
