Manafort trial moving fast, folks: Apparently this court is called Rocket Docket for a reason, this case was supposed to last 3 weeks and I've heard it might last 2.

FFS, stop letting Giuliani come on your shows. It's just ridiculous at this point: Nah let him come on. I just keep waiting for what else he's gonna spill. Like 'collusion if it were committed, and I'm not saying it was or wasn't, isnt a crime' Its like letting my kid try and talk herself out of punishment by admitting to something else.

My SIL unfriended me on FB, probably because I am unabashedly liberal. The following is a list of all the fucks I give: 1. 2. 3. ....

My father-in-law did that to me for, I'm assuming, the same reason awhile ago. It kind of hurt my feelings at the time, though. ETA: Which was stupid and I obviously shook it off. There is a history with them, though.

This gem "If he wanted to obstruct, he wouldn't have obstructed, he would have ended it."
which is the point of being prosecuted for obstruction.....

I read yesterday that the most likely reason for Trump's twitter freak out was because they actually heard back from the Mueller camp.......they want to interview him regarding obstruction of justice.
He then proceeded to go off the deep end.

The whining....Why didnt anyone tell me Manafort was under investigation?????? OMG You can't tell me he didn't have all the facts prior to making the man his CAMPAIGN MANAGER for four months. You cannot under any circumstances make me believe that Manaforts ties never came up and they didnt play into to 45 thinking oooooooo this will be great. Please, go sit in a corner and think about what you have done you treasonous cheeto. quoting myself @heartbot, i'm almost thru the first episode of Gaslit Nation. 1) Its interesting and worth a listen. 2) The first part delves into 45s relationship with Manafort. Its deep y'all.

Yesterday was not a good day in court for Prosecutors in the Manafort Trial.
The judge was extremely agitated over the lengths the lawyers went to to show how lavish Manafort's lifestyle was. He chastised them in front of the jury on several occasions. Also told them he has heard that some of the lawyers are rolling their eyes at him after walking away and to cut it out.
Yikes.

Renato had a great thread about this yesterday, which made me feel better: Basically the stuff about his lifestyle is relevant and evidence of his fraud, but it's also extremely prejudicial, so they should be going sparingly. Renato also notes that typically cases where the judge has a firm hold on the proceedings and doesn't give lawyers much latitude tend to benefit the prosecution.

Manafort prosecution is going after the fruits of his fraudulent lifestyle (which Renato says is prosecutor 101, since juries hate luxuries earned from fraud). Apparently this includes an $21K ostrich jacket. Darth does not disappoint: I really hope the internet turns this into a Halloween costume

I've been writing furiously to my senators about the parent child separation that's happening right now via Resistbot. But I want to make sure they are the best people to be writing to? Congress, House, Senators, Governor? All of them? Does anyone know which is the best person to send my angry letters to?

two whole days in a row. And she brought friends DNI Coates FBI Wray Neislen Bolton and a few others
Potus has made it clear as mud that we wont allow a foreign nation state to interfere in our elections.
They addressed elections a lot and we want to stay on topic.
Bolton is opening

Bolton is singing praises, talks about meeting regularly, in his tenure of 2 months they have had TWO whole full council meetings.
