Good morning! Today is H’s last day of dance camp. It’s supposed to be cooler today than it has been so we will probably go to the park in the afternoon. Then I work tonight.

I’m grumpy bc I’m fasting for bloodwork (no issues, just lab work for my annual physical). I have a work call at 9.30, so when that’s done I am going to call the lab and see if I can come in asap instead of waiting for my lunchtime appointment.

On my last physical I forgot about fasting and had half an iced coffee.. My sugar levels were super high, obviously. They were ready to send me to the emergency room.  |

Morning! Dropped B at camp for his last day, he's so bummed it's ending. If only there were preschools that did nothing but science, lol. We are leaving for Maine this afternoon so I need to be packing/cleaning, but of course, I'm on here chatting and reading football news  Ok, seriously, I'm going to go scrub something now... |

Morning Ladies ☀️ Evie got the barfs this morning, so what ever illness we picked up has worked it's way through the family. Bea is still looking good, so that's a relief. H is taking the day off to help me keep everyone away from her and sanitize the house. Fun times!

Morning all! Quiet day here. We have no plans other than a target run. It’s 62 degrees and windy outside which feels so strange. I haven’t even taken the kids to the pool yet this summer and obviously won’t be doing that today. I really hope we can get there soon.

Kind of a hectic morning here.
X had a blowout all over his crib. As I was bathing him, Poppy woke up. Dude announced "she's awake and she's crying," then scrambled upstairs with a paci and got her back to sleep for another ten minutes.
Last night, Atticus told me that he hates school and never wants to go back. He said he can't wait to go to kindergarten, then he'll be happy because he won't see __________ (two boys he said are calling him names). I suspect the name calling might be a two-way street, but it still makes me sad and I'll have to call his teacher to find out what's going on, exactly.
X has feeding therapy this afternoon but my mom will be taking him since I have no PTO/flex time right now.
Then we're going to a viewing for a family friend who passed away.

Morning all! Picking up off the flamingo's post in the other thread, B's birthday is in 2 weeks and I have 0 ideas of what to get him. People are starting to ask and I don't know what to tell them. He mostly plays with whatever S is playing with. They have tons of toys. He has more clothes than I do. We got him a Moana book that makes Moana noises when you push the buttons. He's literally obsessed with Moana and the music so I think he will go crazy for that. That's probably the only gift we will give him. But I have no idea what to tell my friends and family! |

Making a grocery list for a cake I'm doing for my friends little girls 1st birthday. Taking the boys to the park and then lunch. Then I'll start baking while they nap. I haven't worked with fondant in forever. Lets hope I remember how lol.

He mostly plays with whatever S is playing with. They have tons of toys. He has more clothes than I do. We got him a Moana book that makes Moana noises when you push the buttons. He's literally obsessed with Moana and the music so I think he will go crazy for that. That's probably the only gift we will give him. But I have no idea what to tell my friends and family! They have super cute Moana toys at Target. The hook and it makes noises and the chicken, dolls of the characters. |

Matthew has taken to poking Jack on the top of the head when he's frustrated. IDK if I should be disciplining that? Jack doesn't mind and it's a good alternative to the hitting he was doing.

cagoldi, sorry about your friend's mom. That's so sweet that A got P back to sleep! What a sweetheart! I understand where you are coming from with school. It's so hard when they have problems like that that you can't fix. I don't know if you remember me telling a story about a boy in the class S moved into last February - he was telling him he didn't belong and he wasn't smart. Telling him he was too little (S is on the shorter side, and he was the youngest in that class so he definitely was one of the shortest in the class, but still). Anyway, that kid left for the summer and is starting K in the fall so he's gone from the school. S told me the other day that he missed him. With follow up questions, he told me that A used to be a mean boy but that they worked it out and now they were friends. It made me super happy to hear they had worked it out on their own. I know it's not always that easy.

cagoldi, Cadence says she hates school because of naptime. Both the teacher and I have told her she doesn't have to take a nap, but she has to be quiet. She doesn't know how to be quiet. Plus, she eventually falls asleep anyway.

Hi ladies. mwhip you should be hearing from your vet today, right? Yes, I dropped Luna off at 7:45, gave them lots of instructions, like she didn't eat breakfast, here's a baggie of food, she's deaf, can you trim her nails, I think she needs to potty...I was a mess, I'm sure they think I'm crazy. They said if i don't hear anything by 3, to give them a call. As much as I want to know, I think I'd rather talk to them in person, in case it's bad. Todd can't go with me because he has a funeral to go to tonight, so I'm on my own. |

yummeecookee Hell no to fasting until lunch! I thought my 10:30 appointment was bad enough! And I did have almond milk in my coffee that morning, but I think it was mostly gone by my appointment because all results were fine.

Morning.
Before I left for work, I went in to feel for a fever on M and he wasn't warm at all. After the Tylenol it never got over 99.6, so I hope it doesn't come back. His last day of camp was last week, so he is just hanging out with MH this week and next. I think they are going in to work for a little bit later, and he loves going to work with him, so it should be a treat.
Nothing much going on for me but work. It's a slow day. I need to search for a napper for M2. He moves up in DC in a couple weeks. I don't love the one I got M last year on Amazon, so if anyone has one they like, please let me know.

Add Evie to the hating school list. Although she hates going to her DCP. When I ask why, she says because she only has baby toys, which isn't accurate. Her last week is next week, holy shit...I need to think of a good bye gift. She has taken great care of Evie and helped her learn so many things. She tutors other students, especially kids with dyslexia since one of her sons has it. Evie has been in her home for 3 1/2 years, so it's going to be a weird adjustment. Any idea for thank you/good bye gifts?

I had to have a very "adult" conversation with S yesterday but I think it went well. There is a boy, L, who apparently has been going around kissing friends against their will. He told me about it and we had a long conversation about how you should only kiss and hug someone if you want to and if anyone touches you/kisses you etc when you do not want it that you should immediately tell them to stop and tell someone.
I am not great with having these conversations so I'm glad it sort of came up organically.

dapostrophe, hope she is the last one to get sick! Also, I forgot to tell you, MH is able to come with us on the Chicago trip so we extended. We will now be there from the evening of the 17th through the morning of the 22nd. I'm still up for a meetup, but now I'm not so stuck on the one short window.
