vino glad you had a nice vacation, enjoy your day! tgrimes I'm the same way when I'm home by myself. I know that H could easily sit on his ass all day and not do shit, but I don't work like that. I'd end up making a list of everything that needed done and not enjoy my time.

wedding is there anything OTC I can give jello for her cough? Not really. If it seems like a phlegm you can give Benadryl- 1mg per lb but she is so tiny so I would probably avoid and ride it out. Is it improving?

tgrimes Good for you for taking a day off; I would be the same way, it's hard for me to relax until I feel like everything is done. Hopefully you can get some downtime this afternoon b/4 it's time to get the kiddos. vino Welcome back, good to see you! Glad your time off was enjoyable

I called in today. I’ve never done that before so it was a bit odd. I’m catching up on laundry and cleaning and I have a few errands to run. I’ll probably make dinner for tomorrow night so all I have to do is heat it up when we get home. I’d really like to sit on my ass and watch tv but I look around and see too much shit that needs to get done. Take a nap, then your eyes will be closed and you won't see what needs to be done.  |

Charlie doesn't sit on the potty but is more vocal/aware than Josie was at that age (and even when she was significantly older). She trained late at 3 yr 3 months, but then we never looked back. I was aiming for next spring/summer with C. Same. S trained late (3 years 6 months to the day) but he literally did it in 1 morning. He was old enough that he just got it and never looked back. He was even night trained within a month of that. But he really didn't show much interest up until then. B already grabs his diaper and says pee or poop. 9 times out of 10 he is accurate. We haven't tried putting him on the potty at all. I might try to sporadically start putting him on, just to see. |

joelies Is Chase feeling all better this morning? Totally back to normal. I think he may have slept poorly the night before and that plus the heat and humidity... It was pretty odd but I'm just glad to see him happy and running around. |

LO got sick last night. My mom is not the most comforting person so he really missed me. Normally when he throws up, will cuddle on the recliner and watch a movie. So my mom handing him a bucket and telling him to go lay down wasn't what he wanted. I'm going to FaceTime him as soon as I'm done pumping.
In other news I'm making my last student loan payment today..for this loan. I'm thinking of going back to school to get my project manager certification.

Morning! Not much on the agenda today. My guy is still feeling sick and looking pathetic, so we are all staying home. I might get the water slide out for Ev & Theo and the neighbor kids. I got the macrame hammock I wanted a few weeks ago and it's calling my name 😉

Just barging in to say hi!!! Vacation is treating us well, it’s to warm for my taste, there are ticks (I already removed 8 in two days...), the bed is terrible, but the ocean is close by and amazing, we’re really enjoying time with just the four of us and we already had some amazing ice cream (vanilla, blueberry with chocolate bits) which I felt I deserved after a 4 mile hike! And will you believe that there’s a vineyard half a mile up the road?!

Oh, and my parents called me at 6am, waking up me and C, to ask for directions to a breakfast place I recommended. They called me from THEIR IPHONE. That they could have used to look up directions. 🤦🏼♀️ LOL Olds are funny. |

We got home from NC a little after 10 last night. I’m back at work, now trying to catch up. Then when I get home, I’ll have the usual post vaca stuff: laundry, grocery shopping, and most importantly, catching up on tv shows that I missed. 😏

(He seems to get bothered more often by minor things like colds/upset stomach, etc. I’m convinced he’s immunosuppressed due to the Lyme, but that’s me with my no medical training). In typical man fashion, he says he doesn’t need to see the specialist now. 😐 |

After discussing it last night, Pete seemed to think karate will be a good fit for Dude so we're probably going to sign him up. I think his listening skills are abysmal, but the six year-olds on the class only did slightly better so maybe I'm doing my usual and making things more awful than they really are.
I got him a treat from the liquor store next door to the studio and the owner was so sweet. On my way out, he told me I was teaching my kids the right things and thanked me for doing a good job. Normally I would kind of chuckle but he seemed so genuine about it and I guess I needed to hear that because it's been rough since I went back to work last week.
Atticus is definitely resentful that my mom is here helping out more and acting out because of it. I hope things improve when he starts elementary next month but maybe that's just one more big change that will make things worse?
Time will tell.
And when am I going to win that stinkin' Lotto?!
