fierymama Betweenthelines stop with the mushy sibling talk! You're giving my uterus pangs that I will need to suppress with vodka.

Question: How much do you tip your hair stylist?? I've asked around and heard everything from $5 to like $60!

avocadotoast, I'm like this about having a girl too. Like a teenage girl, legit scares me. But then I think how close I am with my mom and I think it will be nice. I take girls' trips with my mom quite often and I can talk to her about anything. If it's a son and his mom, it's weird. Plus grown up mama's boys are the worse (looking at you H). We are pretty much the same person! I'm so much more comfortable with the idea of raising boys, but I'm also really close with my mom and know that I wouldn't have that type of relationship with a son. Although a gay son could be the best of both worlds... Buuuuut, you get what you get and you don't get upset! Don't be afraid! Girls and boys both suck as teenagers, so no winning there. Plus, thanks to having one of each, I can make sure neither is getting stuck with all "boy" or all "girl" stuff without my in-laws giving me too much shit about it. So my son is taking dance classes and my daughter plays with trains. I would do that anyway since that's what they like, but it's nice not to deal with narrow minded comments. And yes, my in-laws suck. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

I'm watching my friend's daughter today. She's really mean to other kids and I'm only doing it because we need the money. She'll be joining us on a play date at the splash pad with some friends and 5 other kids, then we'll likely head to my moms for a bit. The play date is an hour away and 5 minutes from my mom's house. I don't like her and can't really stand being around her, but since I'll be there already I stomach a visit. There's also a $3 theater across the street from her, so I may take the girls to see Boss Baby or Beauty and the Beast.

avocadotoast and Pizzaslut Having a boy first and then a girl is almost perfection! He is such an amazing big brother and while she likes some of the "girly" things, she will also occupy herself with his cars and his nerf guns. She is particularly good at handing and cleaning up all the nerf darts. 😂 It is a ton of fun, most days. I am not looking forward to teenage years for either. Here I am on the other end having the girl first. She is rough AF but also looks out for her little bro like some serious mama bear stuff. I hope it stays like that for us. DS is sensitive and a total mamas boy at the moment, and I'm not going to lie, I kind of like it. DD was never the cuddly affectionate type. I'm with you on enjoying the cuddling with DD since DS never did that. I didn't experience a baby falling asleep on me until DD. Except now I'm wondering when she won't be *quite* so clingy, since swim classes might be a nightmare otherwise. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

So when my dad moved back to the area when I was pregnant he hired a guy to do a bunch of stuff to his yard. Tge guy started to do the work and just quit showing up. He took $9k from my dad.
Well after a lot of work and finally getting the guy arrested my dad got him in court yesterday. Originally it was just going to be an initial hearing, but the DA offered the guy a plea that got my dad almost all his money back. It's been two years, so glad this is over for my dad.
Like that some asshole would take advantage of my dad is so rage inducing. He is just the sweetest person. So yeah for the asshole getting his due!

I tip my hairstylist 3 bucks. I'm cheap. Oh wait that's pretty good considering I'm typically getting a 10 dollar haircut

Happy thursday!
Sunday- Tuesday my H and I were fighting. Yesterday I had a very WEIRD conversation with my boos that made me realize 2 things 1) He has a terrible case of work life balance misunderstanding- I have 2 kids and a pilot husband, I can't come to work at 6, stay till 6 and come in on the weekends. THe job was advertised as 9-5, back off. 2) There is no cone of silence here, and I will have to be really formal all the time. I do not know if this will work for my personality.
So TODAY is going to be great, because I need a good day dammit!

CestLaVie - Well, we won't have the kids tonight, but it will be with his co-workers. Not sure when we will be able to get a kid-free just us date though. We'll probably go to HP tomorrow night and Saturday with his mom. No plans yet for Sunday, but Father's day. No clue what is going on next week yet either. It'll work out. Usually I just need a few days of "you are irritating the shit out of me, just let me be" and I'll get over it.

Late but fx easternshoregirl. Not much new here. Still sofa king tired. DH didn't nurse for almost 2 days but asked this am. I am definitely nudging him towards weaning. I don't want to tandem nurse. DS new daycare teacher is so sweet and said he is kind to the other kids and that made me happy. Eta: oops. DS not DH. That is what I get for typing and walking
