beenthere, fingers crossed for you! That's rough that your DH travels, it just adds extra stress to TTC. Have you ever gotten a positive before 11 dpo before?

With my first I got a definite positive at 10DPO. Last year I had a chemical and I got my first faint positive at like 8dpo, and with my second son I think I was approximately 11DPO. It was before my period was due but I was sick as a dog and that's what made me test.

So do all of our spouses/SOs work together or something? So many are on the road frequently for work!

XP from the loss board:
Hi guys. I feel silly asking because I just went through this earlier this year but I can't remember now what it was like after...but for those of you who had a D&C how long did you bleed after?
I had mine on Friday night. Bled Saturday and Sunday. Spotted Monday. Basically nothing at all on Tuesday so went swimming with DD. Yesterday we were out and on our feet all day and then I started bleeding again last night. Today it's about as heavy as a regular period. So I'm 6 days post op now and started bleeding pretty consistently again last night. Normal? Or do I need to put a call in to the doctor?
Thanks!

I was told that was normal and only to call for the regular 'going through a pad in an hour or clots larger than a gold ball' type thing. Looking back at my chart it looks like I bled a mix of heavy/medium/light for 7 days, spotted, then nothing then spotted for 2 days, then 5 days of medium/light then 3 days of spotting. Sorry this whole process just drags on <3

sammysam, I will add that -especially with your history- that I would call if you're at all concerned or confused. Hugs.

I'm sorry so many people are going through a difficult time. octoberrust, sammysam, charliefox... Sammysam, my D&C experience was that the bleeding came and went for about three weeks. It was never heavier than a light period and it stopped and started a few times. I definitely agree with charliefox that if you're in any way concerned, given your history, you should definitely ring your doctor. So I'm having a much longer period than usual. Since L was born, rather than four days of heavy bleeding and then a day or two of lighter bleeding, I've been having about two and a half days of exceptionally heavy bleeding, followed by about two days of spotting. Probably about the same blood loss altogether, just squeezed into a shorter time. This week I had three full days of very heavy bleeding and today (day four) has been heavy but not insanely so. I am choosing to interpret this as a Hopeful Sign (tm) since longer heavy periods can be a sign of higher fertility. I hope.

purple FX that things are moving in the right direction!!! I definitely would interpret that as a positive sign. AFM I took DD and my niece to the beach and the bleeding got even heavier...so I put a call in to my doctor. I'm hoping to hear back from her tonight just for some reassurance. I called my parents and asked if they could come home for a few days as I'm feeling quite light headed and not great at the moment. So they are packing up and should be here at some point during the night. I'm sure I'm freaking out over nothing but being here alone with the bleeding increasing does not make me feel good

purple Thanks for thinking of me. My parents got home last night. The bleeding has slowed down so I'm hoping it stays like this...but at least I have help if it picks up again. I was feeling really dizzy yesterday.

I was feeling really dizzy yesterday. Did you hear back from your doctor? Dizziness is a normal part of miscarriage recovery, but it's one of the reasons why I'm a big advocate of getting help with childcare during the first week or two of recovery. D&C sped the process up for me, but the dizziness is still real and hard. Even if you feel a bit better today, I recommend asking your parents to take your DD for a couple of hours. Go to bed with a book and a bar of chocolate. Right now you need to put yourself first to speed up your physical recovery.

11dpo overe here, temp is still up but we went to a concert last night (Chris Isaak) so I had a bit to drink and was up super late, sooo I don't really trust the temp. I'm more nervous than upset about AF showing up soon because it means we're really doing IVF. Yikes.
Last night I was watching IVF videos on youtube and my thoughts wavered between "I got this" and "holy shit" lol.

charliefox, my RE had me do IVF orientation as a prep so we're not delayed at all if we end up going that route. I was most definitely in the "holy shit" camp the bulk of the time with the rest of the time wanting to shout out "science!!" i hope you don't need it, but if you do, you've got this.

I'm trying to keep from getting my hopes up too much, but I think I had an implantation dip and implantation spotting on 7DPO. I'm 9 DPO today. I normally have spotting leading up to AF but it usually starts around 12-13 DPO and is bright red, this was faint pink/brown and stopped after less than a day and hasn't come back. Temp went back up this morning. I'm so nervously excited. I may test this Sunday (11 DPO) unless I get pre-AF spotting, I doubt I'll be able to hold out much longer than that. I tried not to tell DH because I didn't want to get his hopes up either, but he asked about my temps last night (IDK why, he asks all the time and has no idea what it means lol) so I told him. I'm nervous and excited. If I do get a BFP, the due date would be right before DH's birthday!

charliefox I would LOVE to see this be your rainbow. I am crossing everything I can cross for you. But from what I know about you on here you are strong, encouraging, amazing, and even if you have to go the IVF route you have DEFINITELY got this. I would LOVE to see you NOT have to go the IVF route though and be out of here in the next few days:)

AFM I had a us this morning. The bleeding is from a rather sizeable hematoma so I can expect to bleed heavilyish until it breaks up and dissipates. I feel better knowing what it is.

sunny75 Thanks:) I'm still super nauseous but I always get like that when I lose blood. I get a little dizzy with AF too so it's definitely to be expected when the bleeding is heavier.
