We have been blaming teething on a lot of things - drooling, sleep issues, cranky, clingy, etc.... But no teeth have cut through ..... until yesterday. Little guy has a little tooth popping through the gums

DD1 tried teaching DD2 to crawl last night. It was the cutest.

Good morning! I was thinking of taking the kids to the library but it’s rainy out and I don’t feel like it. 🤷🏻♀️ The baby is working on a nap. G is playing. I have to work tonight and my house is mostly clean so I am relaxing.

Morning!
H is going back into work for a few days this week. I didn’t really make plans for today yet because I still have a bit of laundry and cleaning up to do from our trip, and a rest day would be nice!
Still no teeth here, and as of Saturday she’s the oldest baby I’ve had without them so definitely patiently enjoying these gummy smiles now! And not crawling yet either, but girl sure is doing everything in her power to take off lol I said I bet she’ll start moving when H is at work this week and I’ll have 3 mobile children to myself 😂 😭

Little mans tooth popped through this morning. He is also very close to crawling. He can get to where he wants to go without crawling though. He just sort of slides around.

That's so cute sarahh! DS seems like some more teeth will be coming soon. He got his bottom front two at 3.5 months but then we had a little break, but he seems like he is teething again so I'm on the watch for more! He wants to crawl so bad, it is so cute- he sticks his butt up in the air and tries to scoot but our floors are slippery and he can't get traction!

Faith will be 6 months tomorrow and over the weekend really started to get the hang of army crawling. It isn't fast, but she can inch forward to get to a toy.

I have a feeding question, especially for moms who pump.
Right now, DS is nursing around 5:30 or 6 each morning and then goes back to sleep until 8:30 or 9. I would say 50% of the days he wakes up on his own to eat then, and the other days I am waking him up so I can feed him before leaving for work.
If you pump, do you wake baby up to eat before you go to work? Or how do you manage this? I am not sure if he wakes up on his own sometimes because he is hungry, or because he's used to getting up at that time because I wake him up to eat then sometimes.
I worry if I don't wake him up then, he would still wake up on his own at 7 or so and then be much harder to get to go back to sleep since it's lighter out, he would have to wait for a bottle, etc. Also, I do love getting to see him for a little bit in the morning! But the longest stretch of sleep he has ever had has been 7 hours (just last week that started and we've had a few since then!). Is this normal? Am I setting him up to fail, so to speak, by waking him up on the days he's not up?

Is it weird to jump in and start posting 6 months after DD was born? I hope not. Hi!

C came home from daycare Friday with a stomach bug...including projectile vomiting then of course had to share it with mom & dad. Hoping the toddler doesn't get it. No teeth yet but he has been getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth! pinkcat how frequently is he eating during the day? I wake C at 6ish to feed him and we leave the house before 7:30 so he drinks his 9ish bottle at daycare. He then eats every 3-4 hours.

I have a clogged duct 😤 it’s super annoying. I hope it doesn’t turn into mastitis, but so far I feel fine. Just sore. I’m massaging and holding my hot coffee on it when I’m not drinking it (very high tech).
Not much going on with me. I’m starting to think about sleep training, so I’ve been rereading the precious little sleep blog to get geared up and establish more of a routine for when we do CIO at six months.

stephne Oh no, I hope C is feeling better soon! And thanks! After he eats at 5:30 he usually eats again at 9:30 or 10, and then every 3 to 4 hours throughout the day. At night time he eats quite a bit- a bottle at 9 and then a small dream feed at 11, and then usually doesn't eat again until the 5:30/6 feeding.

I hope it feels better soon! I had one a few months ago and massaging in a hot shower seemed to help a lot. Also I've read somewhere on the board that an electric toothbrush in a hot shower helps? Not sure if it's true but thought I'd pass it on!

Well, it wouldn't be me if it wasn't at least a little bit weird. We just celebrated DD's 6 month "birthday" yesterday. She's my 1st and the 5th for H. I live on the surface of the sun aka Texas. H travels a lot for work, so I spend a lot of time solo-parenting DD and our 3 dogs while working full-time. I am very outnumbered most days.

No teeth here yet.
we had his 6 month appointment this morning. He's now 16lbs 13oz and 28 inches, pretty tall for his weight. He had a low grade fever so I have to take him back next week for his shots.

So if you let him sleep until 7 would the every 3-4 hours after that work ok for your schedule? I don't think you are setting yourself up for failure by waking him to eat.

After a week of misery, DD's first tooth poked through on Friday. She's doing the inchworm, but ends up going backwards 90% of the time.

Liv is so BUSY. She can sit up but is so busy and wobbly! It's so funny. My DD1 could sit on her own at this age so this is so weird.
Their respective first days are going well so far thankfully! This momma was worried.

My goal is to eat around 630/645, then 9/930, 12, and 230/3, so I can feed her once more around 530 before bed at 630/645. I'm trying to front load her feedings though so I can get better night sleep. So.

J had her 6 month checkup this morning! She has jumped to the 13th percentile for weight and we got the go ahead to start solids with her. We also "graduated" from our RSV vaccine research study so that is exciting!
I also finally feel like I have a life plan so that has calmed my anxiety tremendously. I accepted a job as a patient care tech 2 days a week to get some experience and I know where I will be going to nursing school now! I start in September! I can't wait but I also am really looking forward to a couple months off before I start :-)

Arden can sit unassisted. Not for long periods of time. But a few minutes. Depending on what she’s trying to reach. Beyond that she doesn’t do much. She can roll both ways, I’ve seen her do it. But she doesn’t. She just lays on her stomach or back and just hangs out. Definitely no attempted crawling. She’s getting pretty effective with her grip though. Can quickly grasp what she wants and transfers between hands with little effort. I’m down with her waiting on being mobile. My house is a death trap of hatchimals, LOL doll pieces and who knows what else little crap lurking around. The other three were all crawling by 6.5 months. This is nice.
