It was like, “ she will be totally fine. Unless she dies.” She’s had two doses of antibiotics and she’s already perked up and is playing with her toy so I feel better.

xolastunicornxo are there any tests for distemper and if so, wouldn't the rescue/shelter have certified she is in good health or advised of any known issues? Seems weird to say that then just send her on her way, especially with another dog in the house.

The vet said there is a test but it takes like week to get back and it was distemper we would know by then anyway. She had her first round of vaccines and got a clean bill of health up there. When they released her they told us she may have a touch of kennel cough, but she had no temp so they told us to just follow up with our vet down here for a well check, which I scheduled and then moved up to today when she started having boogers.

H cut her hair again. Luckily it was only a little bit and it’s in the underneath part. She said DH cut S’s pony tail holder out of her hair last night before bath so she was trying to do that to her own. Not even a little impressed.

Distemper is not very common and usually they get extremely ill. Not just feeling low with green boogies. It’s great she’s perked up. I would probably schedule her with another vet in a few days to get established somewhere better and check in but likely kennel cough.

It’s night like tonight that I’m annoyed at DHs commute/job. C is an overtired mess and frankly so am I. It would be nice to have backup.

Oh my gosh. $120 later and the pup is now the life of the party!! Why does that always happen?

M is such a creature of habit.. he had a meltdown because they switched the pools for his swim lessons. Luckily his instructor was just as upset about it and calmed him down lol.

I saw that. To be honest, she rubbed me the wrong way with the whole TTC thing. Like she posted a ton about how it was so hard because she's never had to really try before and had been trying for 4 months. I get that she had every right to be upset and struggling, it just read as dramatic and insensitive to me. 4 months is pretty average. It just made me kinda cringe thinking about people I know who have been trying for years for one baby. Glad I'm not the only one that felt this way. I haven't struggled, but my sister-in-law struggled for 4 years to get pregnant with my nephew. And to be doing check-ins and live videos for support after just four months, seems a tad dramatic. Yes! I get she was trying to relate to her audience, but I hardcore rolled my eyes and I think if I were someone like your SIL I'd be pissed.

Survived 4 downpours at sesame place, but they were all brief, so it wasn't bad. I think we actually lucked out bc there have been zero lines and it is not typical 95 degree July weather. Kids made it from 11-4:30 without naps and after a CFA/puffin rock picnic are finally in bed. Hoping to get back there in the morning and getting lunch elsewhere before heading to the beach. Disney is now on MH's radar since N is pretty into it and it is so fun to see them lose their minds.
Oh and how did we just take the kids to McDonald's for breakfast for the first time? Forget real breakfast places, they were thrilled with it and it was basically free. Total score.

xolastunicornxo I'm glad Jello is perking up! That vet sounds like a jerk. When we got our lab, the first vet we took her to was like that...absolutely zero bedside manner. She was so cold--I remember thinking, "Do you even like dogs?" No warmth or friendliness at all. (Yes, I expect my vet/pediatrician to tell me how adorable and perfect my puppy and babies are ) dapostrophe Sounds like the party was a success--well done!

@xolastunixornxo glad to hear Jello is perking up. I just got an email that my vet is merging with a large animal hospital. I loved her little office. The email also contained several $20 off coupons, making me think the new place is going to be much more expensive.

We rushed home from swim lessons with fast food because J was horrible at the pool. My dad had a new driver here to sign on with us so I asked A to get them their food out and then clean them up and get in pjs. I need to go over everything with the new guy and get him a contract and 10 other things. He set out their food then disappeared outside. When I went and found him to come help me so I didn't have to keep this guy here any later (already 8:30) he acted all surprised I needed help. Then took 10 minutes to come in..

I think I’m failing raising T. I was talking to my neighbor and her daughter and T ran in my house to play. I went to check on them and T was playing Nintendo Switch while the little girl was dusting my furniture.

So I was doing a worksheet with Cadence. It was pretty simple, draw a line from the uppercase letter to it's lowercase partner, as in Big A to little a. It wasn't even the whole alphabet, just A thru M. She knew half of what the letters even were and told me L was "elem" and M was "inoh".... My brother says she's playing me, but idk. Her teacher had said she was doing better, but now I'm not so sure.

@klongoria don't get too frustrated. I'm sure she's doing fine. There are nights/days/week where LO will not remember anything and then all of a sudden is a genius. It's the age. Just keep at it with the workbook.
