tgrimes, funny, S never really used his anywhere chair and now it is where his stuffed animals that aren't currently on his bed live. B sits in his every day. It's his favorite spot in the house.

Hi all - not much new here. We go on vacation Saturday so trying to get everything done beforehand. Does anyone watch Cat and Nat on FB or YouTube? They are coming to town on their tour and I am buying tickets for 5 of my friends, I'm pretty excited. It's like a mom's night out show. I have only seen clips or short videos, but they seem pretty entertaining. Have a good day! I don't watch them on Youtube but I've seen clips and whatnot on FB, they are amusing. I bet that show would be fun!

Both my kids love theirs; B has slowly turned his into a recliner, though, lol. I think he's going to get a bean bag for bday or Christmas and we're going to retire his AC, it's looking pretty rough.

Maybe tell her you are getting rid of it now, then get a new cover and just put it on and say you bought H a chair, that way she won't feel like it's still hers? I will say that suddenly S will want to sit in B's chair all the time and then B freaks out that S is there. For 3 years S couldn't care less about the chair, but now that B likes it, he does too. And his chair still sits completely untouched. Kids, man.

tgrimes, are you getting the small backpack or the large? I need something the size of a school folder can fit in. Right now she has the skiphop one.

Morning! Dropped B at camp and then went to BedBath&Beyond for bathroom rugs for the kids' bath. Such a FWP but trying to find rugs for in there has been driving me crazy. I think? I've decided on some but it's not my original 'vision', which is bugging me. Part of me is tempted to just do white, but I feel like that is crazy with kids. On the upside, they could be bleached. IDK. So now that you are all up-to-date on that saga ...not much else going on, just doing some housework while C plays. DH is flying today and it's hot as heck here; I really have no interest in being outside but I'm sure the kids will want to swim this afternoon. We have white bath mats and they bleach just fine. Have had the same ones for years and they still look good even with all the traffic they get.

I have no idea how I would get myself and the kids out of the door on time everyday. Thank Dog I WAH. This is how I am, but about my H working from home. It takes both of us to get everyone ready and out the door and that's even with most of our stuff (school/camp) not starting until 9. On the days he's OOT, I have to wake up extra early to get started. Although, one time I was so paranoid about it I ended up at school drop off an hour early on accident. #facepalm

Not Tgrimes, but FWIW B had the Small this year and we kept a folder, lunchbox, change of clothes in his without problems. He even could stuff his bulky winter coat in there on days it warmed up.

I mentioned this before, but I went with the large for Ev in the hopes it would last awhile and hold her giant lunchbox and camp stuff. I let her pick from rainbows, unicorns, hearts, etc., but she went with anchors 🤔 Pic for size reference, although she is on the tall side:

My parents are traveling thru DC today and Nancy Pelosi is there at the airport at the gate across from theirs.
We aren't really NP fans so :shruggy guy: but it was kind of interesting to me they travel through the airport so freely (she did have a couple security people with her, as well as some additional staff). I know congressmen travel on commercial but was just surprised they are hanging out at the gate and not the Crown Room or something, lol.

klong11, tgrimes, we have the small, and like flamingo said, it's pretty roomy. It holds a change of clothes, folder, sheet and blanket for day care, and anything else random that he brings with him. And since I have the matching lunchbox it hooks to the outside so that doesn't need to fit inside. I really can't imagine needing anything bigger until such time as they have massive school books

FWIW, I scotch-guarded our PBK backpacks. Not sure if you need to but the hope is that it will help repel water and dirt/stains.

Here’s the small backpack on H for size reference. I have the straps completely tight and at the beginning of the year they were dragging on the ground a bit. ETA: the bottom of the backpack is right at the top of her butt, it’s kind of hard to tell because she’s wearing navy. She’s on the shorter side for reference. 3’3 at her last appt Here is a pic of a regular size folder inside, plenty of room.

Just scheduled my tattoo for next Wednesday! Now that I don't have to be in the water with J at swim lessons I can get it!

All caught up now, whew! This has been a crazy week and I'm trying to do a little each day to get prepared for the parties this weekend. Today was my Costco run and I went a little overboard, even with Miss Bea's carseat taking up most of the cart. I had to have an escort follow me out with another cart, LOL.
We are doing back to back parties, because it's just gotten to be too many people to invite everyone on one day, but if I leave family out of it feelings get hurt. So, I am experimenting with doing a friends & neighbors party on Saturday and then a dinner style GTG for family on Sunday. I can't decide if I'm crazy or a genius for doing it this way, but if it works out it may be the tradition moving forward. We have not figured out how to do birthdays consistently with having Ev and my oldest so close to a holiday, Theo and H on a holiday and now three summer birthdays. Luckily, I love parties and celebrating!

Lord help us if he dares to sit in Atticus' AC.

Hi! I'm working from home again because my Wednesday and Thursday late meetings were rescheduled for Thursday and Friday. Except now they've been pushed to next week so I've spent 2 unnecessary days at home, where I never feel as productive. Boo. At least I get to drop the boys off, which can be fun. They're just so funny right now and really play off of each other in such a weird way.
Anyhow our Prime day purchases came today and I'm not in the mood to even look at our scale yet, LOL. There's always tomorrow, right?

Or animal. Or drink. I think you get the picture. Kid is territorial. Way more so than S was at this age.

I didn't get much on prime day. I found it confusing, and it crashed a lot for me. But I did get S a new car seat which he desperately needs. And now it says it will be received between August 8 & 13. WTH!??!?

My prime packages just came too! My robo vac is charging and I can’t wait to test it out. Super exciting day over here. Lol.
H is napping and N and my nephew are playing so well. I’m... dare I say... bored? I could fold laundry but instead I’m sitting here and might do a little reading.

slenle, I'm super excited about my robo vac but will wait until we move to bust it out. I had one years ago and it did okay, but technology is so much better now. Madison learned how to use my parents and affectionately calls it "buddy." Her tone of voice actually changes and you'd think she's talking about a beloved pet. Lol. She knows how to operate it. I may never have to vacuum again.

If X had been my firstborn, I would have been really caught off-guard by Hurricane Atticus.
