45 probably has no clue who they are. I would guess, on the American end, it's a coincidence. With Putin, I have no idea. My question mark was mostly rhetorical but yeesh. It's some coincidence.

Yall want to have some fun? This woman is running for Lt Gov in Idaho. This has been removed from her FB page but she accepts DMs Attachment DeletedJanice McGeachin. Shes also friends with Brandi Swindell, who you may remember from being arrested at the Beijing Olympics, sponsored legislation requiring women to have transvag ultrasounds prior to an abortion, and represents several antichoice clinics. Just an all around swell person.

I'm on my way back to the States from Canada. I missed you. I did not miss the president. Welcome home, although we wouldn’t have blamed you if you had decided to stay.

I just read the comments in Fox News. It's unbelievable how stupid and brainwashed those people are. I don't think he could do anything to make them not support him.

I feel like attempting to illegally emigrate wouldn't have looked great for my H's clearance renewal. He offered to let me take the kids and run for it though 😂

To turn against him would mean admitting they were wrong... One of my favorite things when arguing with a conservative is they hold up an example where Obama was wrong, and are like, "WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO THAT?!" Um...sometimes Obama was wrong. That is a thing I'm perfectly capable of admitting and understanding. It's like there is almost no ability for Trump's base to do so, to recognize when Trump might be wrong. He is always right. Chest thumpingly, flag wavingly right. Much like Trump himself. And apparently none of them question which flag is being waved.

FoxNews is Trump-splaining the news conference as "jet lag and time differences". He's been saying the exact same thing when he's sitting around playing golf on the weekends. 🤷 CAN YOU IMAGINE the uproar if Hillary were president and had used that excuse, after all the fuss during her campaign about her age and health? (Sorry to "but Hillary")

To turn against him would mean admitting they were wrong... This morning I got into it with people simultaneously arguing that Obama was wrong about Putin in 2012 when up against Mitt Romney, by saying Russia is not a threat, but then also Trump is right about Putin now, by saying Russia is not a threat? It's astonishing to see doublethink play out in reality. Plus a heavy dose of racism.

re QE2, I read speculation this weekend that either Philip or William are usually involved in heads of state visits and both opted to snub Trump. According to the Sunday Times of London, Charles & William both declined to meet with him. According to People Magazine, Charles & William weren't invited. Make of that what you will. TBF Philip has retired from public duty

Also, I can believe that Obama is a good man who loves his country while also not agreeing with every single thing he ever says and does. I would say the same thing about W, Clinton or Bush I I cannot with this one. I told someone the other day, that as much as I abhorred W, as much as I disagreed with him and Cheney, and while we have our problems here at home that need to be fixed, I was still able to be proud to be an American*, I can't do that right now. I'm ashamed of my country, I am ashamed of how we are viewed by the world, and that our elected leaders can't put country over party. (*I know there are people who dont feel like america should be proud of anything with its history, and I understand and empathize with that POV, but that hadnt been my experience and I'm willing to help change it for them.)

I feel kinda stupid coming into this thread since I haven't been around (I've been working on my graduate program full time, I've been having some health concerns, and just some shitty stuff happening) but I've seen some talk about rallys in DC tonight and tomorrow. If someone here sees something legit for tomorrow, can you tag me please?

I have 4 more courses to get through and then I can come back to life basically. I'm going through a university that is online and "take as many classes as you can in a semester" so I've literally taken 7 courses in 2 months. I just need to push through these last ones and then I get to do my field practicum.

I thought this was known, but maybe just speculated: confirmation Rohrabacher was the Congressman who allegedlyly met with Butina and Torsuin in Moscow in 2015.
ETA: It's a thread. Well, two tweets.
ETA: Reading it, the congressional records show he was in Moscow at the time, but this guy hasn't given any concrete proof. Is it a good bet, given the time of the trip and the fact that a meeting with a Congressperson took place? Yes, but not exactly a solid confirmation yet.

Bingo.
Dan Rather: To GOP officials who are speaking out about today's "Farce in Finland" - unless you start putting your votes and subpoena power behind your Twitter fingers, I suspect you will be viewed as complicit in the judgement of history (and maybe by the voters much sooner).

Has anyone seen the video of Michelle Obama at the Beyoncé/Jay z concert in Paris? She’s right off the stage dancing to J with Bey’s Mom.
Living her best life, and she looks incredible.
