So ever since D. got ill with the chicken pox, her sleep pattern has been F-ed up. She was running a fever 3 nights in a row which made for crappy sleep obviously - but now we seem unable to get her back into a more or less normal pattern. It's like her day/night rythm has moved forward with like 6h.. today she refused to nap altogether, fell apart after dinner and finally we could put her bed, but she's been waking up every 45 minutes since. we just don't know what to do.

God this sounds awful, Im sorry. Hopefully it shifts back soon. Does she have a follow up with the dr? Does she still seem bothered by it at all?

I’m at my wits end this week. Noah won’t let me put him down after he wakes up from sleeping. Is there a Ferber method for motn wake ups?
Just exhausted. Thank god my nanny comes tomorrow bc I need a damn break.

No one J has been having rough nights..both of his top front teeth popped through last night. They have just cut the surface so it may be a few more days. The last 2 nights were better though.
He did 3 days of standing up and screaming at nap time but has been better the last 2 days so I'm hoping he feels better all around.
We are meeting with a pastor tomorrow about having him baptised. I hope it works out because my plan is to have him baptised and then do his first birthday party . The pastor is only available one Sunday in August and it's the day after j birthday which is what I want! If this is a go I'll rent the pavilion at our park and feel like it's a go. Already have a million ideas for food, decorations, and cake. I'll be making cake and cupcakes for sure.

muscari I'm sorry D is having a rough time. I hope it gets Better! addymac J did that for 4 nights . Not sure what the deal was but he screamed bloody murder , stood up, and would fall backwards once I put him back in motn. I was sleeping in the chair with him because he would sleep on me. On the 4th night I fed him, put him down, came back in twice and simply lay him back down(while he continued to scream) then the 3rd time instead of grabbing him and going to the chair like I normally do I picked him up, held him while standing up, and sang to him until he was drowsy. Put him back in and he cried a few minutes but then slept. Did the same thing the next night laying him down twice then carrying him while singing instead of snuggling on chair. Last 2 nights he's gone right back to sleep after his bottle . Not saying that will work for you but he likes to snuggle in the chair motn so I had to do something else.

Noah’s been doing it since last Friday. Screaming until I hold him to fall asleep for naps and motn. And bedtime lately too. Rocking only works for so long bc he’s so heavy. Ben can’t lift or hold him so it’s been me 100% all week every night. I’ve just been giving up and sleeping on the futon with him. I tried letting him scream and he screamed for 40+ min in the motn Monday night until I gave up. As soon as I try to lay him back in his crib he goes apeshit. He’ll sleep soundly in my arms so I’ve been breaking all the rules and just sleep with him on the futon. Once Ben can help in the motn again in a few weeks I’ll try again. Until then I’m just trying to survive.
Does anyone have sleep training for MOTN wake ups? He falls asleep on his own but wakes up. It needs to stop. ESP before we wean him off his paci soon.
Ugh our babies are getting so big!!

addymac I just stopped going into the room months ago with R. At first I’d check on her and then spread out the time in between. Then I just stopped, because she’d wake and not cry - so, she’d be up at 4am for a half hour and then fall back asleep. She moves a lot at night, but doesn’t wake up. But, now he’s used to you going in and holding him..... I’d give Tylenol and put him back down. Also, T had her paci until she was almost three. She only used it in the crib and she’d put it up before getting out. I’m doing the same thing with R, she already hands me the paci to put up for her. They go through periods of nightmares and stuff after one, so I’m in no rush to get rid of it.

R’s been taking good naps the past couple days. Today she napped 3 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. So, we’re assuming she’s been working on stuff.
When I came home from work H was holding her. She pointed at me and said “mama.” So, I took her and she looked at H and said “dada.”

J has been sleeping 3.5 to 4 hours combined with his 2 naps. That's awesome she says mama and dada!

This whole week has been super difficult in many ways. L has really swollen gums and has been clingy/screaming/not sleeping- so teeth better happen soon. And then I haven’t been sleeping anyway bc of stress (family problems with my siblings/parents). I had a migraine for like 4 days. Add in my threenager. 😩😴
Hoping for a good relaxing Saturday.
