Betweenthelines,I usually do the 3 time rule too, but H doesn't think she should have to be told more than once - maybe I can get him to agree we both do one warning, that's a good idea to meet in the middle.

H is still not talking to me. I'm not sure how to find a middle ground on this discipline issue -- he thinks I'm not tough enough on A, because I will repeat myself before getting really firm with her. I think kids need the repetition and aren't emotionally mature enough yet to be told something once and always remember it. I think H is WAY too tough on her and will discipline her for being 1 year old - like he will tell her to stop doing something and she will stop, but will cry or whine about it. So then (with him) she gets in more trouble for being upset. I feel like she can't control those emotions and is allowed to feel some type of way, as long as she obeys us by stopping the behavior we ask her to. Parenting is tough. This sounds very similar to MH and I. I will give two warnings and then he gets timeout or the toy gets taken away. H gives one warning and then punishes. Then when J is crying, he raises his voice at him to stop. I keep trying to explain that he is upset and that is why he is crying. You can reason with an almost two year old to stop crying when he's upset. +1. but while I hate having the disagreement, I think both perspectives are important. There has been times DS will just listen the first time because DH is firmer and I realize I am being played and other times when DH takes himself down a notch because he sees the value of stopping to have the conversation with DS about why he shouldn't do something.

Gah. Online banking hacking drama going on. My friend's account. "She" sent me a $2000 e-transfer this morning. Luckily she called her bank and was able to get everything cancelled/reversed, and I didn't click any links. Changed my password and notified my bank just to be safe. Scary stuff.

Betweenthelines, are people driving or maybe already in the area. My only questions would be what would I do with my stuff if we are going to walking around/going on a wine tour. But I'm picturing that I would need to fly in which may not apply in this case. And what time should I be at your house for this??

I'm driving, so I'll have 5 of the girls in my car, and another girl will drive themself and the other 3. So 2 cars. We can also drop our bags off at the house early, we just can't check in if cleaning lady is still there cleaning. But either way bags will be in car or at the house. We leave at 7AM SHARP. I STICK TO SCHEDULES AND LIKE TO ARRIVE EARLY TO EVERYTHING.

So, I think I might have done more damage to my calves than I thought from the 5K. I'm still having soreness, particularly with steps. I felt great walking up and down hills the other day, but am back to pain. I have a quick errand to run at lunch and am thinking of stopping at the pharmacy to get some biofreeze and see/hope that helps. ::insert frustrated gif:: NO PAIN, NO GAIN! Jk, that sucks! Hope you feel better soon.

I'm trying really hard not to scream sing Just a Girl at my desk right now.
I've never done karaoke, but No Doubt would be a likely go to for me.

Discipline is an issue of contention here as well. H is bad at telling him not to cry when he is getting in trouble, but dude, it's the way they react! I/we need to sit down and have a good discussion and come to an agreement on how/when to discipline the kids. I need to get better with K. Instead of "no" and diverting still. Ugh.

OK, so I need to tack on how many people for the bachelorette party? 5 more? I lost count. We'll need a bus and a bigger house.

I'm glad that I missed all the not being able to gif badness of earlier today. i just learned how to gif! I would be pissed if it was taken away from me.
So the Dr's office called to tell me that based on my anatomy scan i have a low lying placenta. She said not to worry, it will probably correct itself, keep an eye out for bleeding, and no heavy lifting. I'll get an ultrasound at 28 weeks to make sure it has corrected itself. Then she basically hung up. I was so taken aback I didn't even get to really ask questions. If drs don't want you consulting Google for everything they really should be better about communicating shit. So I googled, but it seems like it will likely be fine.

Hi hi! I didn't go to my doc appointment this morning because I am feeling better. Just a slight headache now. My tummy seems to be behaving and there is no dizziness. I going to guess dehydration..
Spent the morning really, really cleaning the house. Its amazing how gross a house can get. Like, how does the outside of the refrigerator and microwave get SO sticky? 😝

On the topic of discipline, but also off on a tangent.. I turn all Mama Bear when someone else (my H, either sets of grandparents) tries to discipline A, even when I agree with their tactic. Obviously I want A to respect and listen to other adults but I get so sad when other people correct her.. I'm all like "Noooo that's my baby and she's perfect!!!!" even when she isn't

Sometimes I'm so relieved when h disciplines the kids. I just sit back silently and let him take over.
I do too much of the disciplining, so it's nice to not have to.
