Hi ladies. A lot of randomness from me today. Friday was MH's 50th birthday. He's old. He's been kind of depressed about it. He got into AARP and said spouses get free membership so I have my card coming in the mail. We topped our Costco 10 yr anniversary by going to Wendy's for his 50th. But, did he get the senior citizen's discount?

Since MH has been working such long hours, we've been trying to prep dinners to where all I have to do is heat things up or make rice or something simple because the kids want to eat as soon as we walk in the door. Last Friday, we were supposed to eat bbq sandwiches. MH swore we had bbq sauce. He was wrong. So I ended up having to make bbq sauce from scratch. FFTC I couldn't find any bottled ketchup so I used ketchup packets that we keep in the pantry. I have no idea how long they've been in there and I had to used about 20 packets of varying brands. MH kept the remaining bbq sauce we didn't use because he thought it was really good. Lololololol!!! Every now and then MH's fast food condiment packet builds up and I throw it out. I think it's like throwing out a piece of his soul for him. I never contribute to the condiment bag in the pantry. Some of that shit could be from 2007 when he bought the house. I have no idea. I should probably toss it and let him start a new one. Or write on the dates on the packets if he freaks out about me throwing it away.

I opened up the vasectomy talk with MH again last night. He kept trying to just make a joke out of it. I pressed him to tell me why he's so resistant. "Because it will huuuuurt." This was pretty much my face: I reminded him that what really hurts is having your vag ripped open from 9 lb giant babies without any pain meds then having stitches all over it and looking like franken-vulva for weeks.

I just got the call that the siding job on our house is going to start tomorrow!! We picked a color last week and when we asked him when he would get to us he wouldn’t commit to anything and was being wishy washy. Made it sound like it’d be awhile. But now they are coming tomorrow to start the tear down of the existing siding. We decided to go with concrete siding because the vinyl siding we have molds so bad we have to power wash it a lot.

NO.

Morning! H is still sick and it’s making her a bit crabby. The girls were supposed to spend time with MIL this morning so I could go to work but H threw a huge fit so that didn’t happen. Now I have to go in after DH gets home. I have some chicken thawing out in the fridge and no real plan for it but now I’m thinking of making bbq chicken sandwiches so I guess I better get the crock pot out. That sounds really good. xolastunicornxo I had a weird dream last night too. I dreamed that H has gotten ahold of my Zoloft somehow and filled the container with water, ruining my pills. It was a very angry dream. I wonder if it means something.

Update on our house saga: (TL;DR version in case you want to skip the soap opera--we have a new realtor and he actually knows what he is doing. Stress level much lower.) MH was resistant to cutting the cord with our realtor despite the fact that many people (I told him you ladies included) said we needed to fire her. Yesterday morning we met with her. She was dragging her feet walking into the office and before we even spoke she looked like we'd just kidnapped her puppy. MH left it up to me to do the dirty work, but he did speak up as necessary. We were both very polite and said we appreciate what she's done for us, but bottom line we need to get our house sold, the clock is ticking, and we wanted to start with a fresh approach with someone else. Her personality disorder came out in full flare. Honestly it all made since to me then why this whole experience had been so stressful. She is volatile with her emotions which she can't handle, is always the suffering victim, and projects blame onto everyone else. Luckily I'd taken a page from flamingo's dad's book and called to speak to the manager before I got there. I let her know I was dumping our realtor and needed a new one who could get the job done. So she arranged for us to meet with their top person after meeting with Crazy Realtor. I avoided engaging with CR as much as possible. I thought she's not my patient and this is not therapy. I just want to wrap things up with her and move on with someone else. She interrupted our meeting with the new guy (NG) twice. Once in person to say 2 showings were scheduled and she was going to cancel them. (So we've had hardly any showings all along but now we got 2 during our 30 minute meeting--yeah right.) We told her we wanted to keep the showings. MH said something to her about she's still representing us for the purchase of the Horsey House, right? (This was easy money for her, we found the house, all she did was draw up the docs when we said we wanted it.) She went on some crazy spiel about how she couldn't trust us or work with us and mentioned something about her opening up to our kids and that's when I thought, oh CR, you needed to be out of our life yesterday. Leave the kids out of it. So she threw away money she could have already made. NG will get that cut too. The second time she texted to say she needs it in writing that she can cancel the showings. Of course I texted back no she can't. NG has already been very professional and responsive. I'm still not 100% at ease about everything yet and won't be until the house sells and this is all over with, but I have full confidence in him. When this is all done I plan to fill the manager in on more about our experience with CR. One of the showings was legit and is someone who saw the house Friday and wants to see it again today (fx). CR was trying to sabotage it and while she hardly responded to us at all last week, all the sudden she's at our house immediately to remove the lock box and sign. NG is already getting the new lock box on this morning so the lady can look at our house and both MH and NG contacted her realtor to let her know we're still selling the house in case CR tried to tell her not to come. CR will be getting quite the review from me when this is all over with. I didn't see her profile page until she was already hired, but she has a bunch of stuff on there about what a devoted Christian she is. That would have already been a warning sign for me if I'd seen that. I don't care what religion you practice, unless you're a spiritual guide/leader or teaching at a parochial school or something like that, your religious beliefs have no place on your CV. If I ever see her around town it will be tempting for me to not say anything to her about what a wonderful Christian she is. (eye roll)

Hi Ladies, I had a nice breakfast with my Dad. It was strange seeing him after so long and "catching up" on a life we used to share. I am still processing it, but over all I can say it was a net positive.
Took myself to Ulta for some retail therapy afterward and got some new makeup. Now I am relaxing a bit before packing up to go to the ILs tonight. Looking forward to seeing my babies 😊

lahdeedah No. What a weirdo! inthekitty Glad you got that straightened out. Good thing you trusted your gut on that one and ditched the old realtor. She sounds like a nut job. cagoldi I hope everything is ok with your Dad. How scary! You certainly don't need anymore stressors right now.

Hi! Back in the office for the first time in a week and have zero motivation.
I worked out yesterday and didn’t think it was that hard of a class but my waddling says otherwise. I’m so freaking sore! I’m golfing tonight and it should be interesting since I can hardly walk. Lol.
After a week of non stop going, I would really like to not have plans for a while but we have plans every night this week and a busy weekend. Maybe next week?

Hi ladies. Ds is completely fine, but I wasn’t sure at 8, so we kept him home from school. Went to the office and had back to back meetings and then a job interview at five. I didn’t really prepare, but I think it went really well. Tomorrow I have an interview for the job I really want, a new version of the one I have now. Waiting for my sushi now, yum!

Re: Vasectomy. My H is dragging his feet on scheduling his 2nd one and I am annoyed by it. I think it's because he now KNOWS that it's painful and is chickening out. Too bad, so sad...

Anything outpatient can't be THAT painful, right? I mean aren't they better the next day?

My driver is going to Africa again and is going to take some footage of the Elephants around his city. I'm over the moon. I mean I've seen videos, but not like first hand knowledge of them. He was telling me stories about growing up there and having a monkey as a pet and the elephants being around and it's just amazing.

I've never asked mh about his feelings on the snip. I'll bring it up tonight just to see what he says. My guess is he'll say something along the lines of we never do the deed, so why get surgery...which is true, we're apparently quite good at abstaining.

nam2013 Glad the interview went well and I hope the next one goes great, too! @ inthekitty Glad you got rid of that crazy woman. Hope the house sells soon. About the creepy guy... I was not the only one he said that to. A few other females got it this morning too after talking to a few people. Boss (male) said he “took care of it”. Also that the guy was advised not to approach and try to apologize. But WHY IS HE STILL HERE? We supposedly have a zero tolerance policy on sexual harassment, but yet, he gets a slap on the wrist? One of my other coworkers said to wait it out and see if he returns because he probably won’t. If he does, I may mention it to HR or our CEO. All are females and I don’t think they would take it so lightly.

It was more than a day of recovery. We did it over a long weekend since he could not move much or lift anything heavy. There was lots of swelling and he was tender for a long time afterward. He was going to be all macho and go without painkillers for the procedure and I talked him out of it. Good thing too, because he was in rough shape immediatley afterward, even with the drugs.

His friend had it scheduled for a Friday and had planned on going to a Reds game on Saturday and a hockey game on Sunday. He thought he'd be fine lol. Luckily his wife chickened out and made him cancel.

MH is all about getting one once we are sure we are done. He has read that the way to do it is during March madness week, so do it like Thursday morning before the games start and lay on the couch all weekend. Not the worst idea.

Speaking of odd dreams...I had one last night that I got a DUI. I was kept in jail overnight with the 3 guys who were in the car with me, since none of us could drive. My H was out of town, so he didn't know. They released me the next day and I never told my H. As the date of my court got closer, I was getting super nervous because I never told him and I was trying to figure out how to break it to him. I woke with lots of anxiety.

You guys, getting a tubal done is pretty damn easy, if your H's protest. It was outpatient and I had some discomfort later in the day and the following day, caused by the gas they fill your stomach with, but I was fine 2 days later. My insurance paid 100% of it. Plus, it's effective immediately, no waiting to see if he's shooting blanks for 3 months.
