Hi!
We had a good night last night!
My big stayed up for fireworks. The little one did well despite a couple fussy episodes where the bangs woke her up. Then we got both girls home and they were out!! Liv woke up three times but slept in a bit. We're getting in another nap now, but momma is rocking her.
Today a BBQ this afternoon /evening with my parents.
I ordered dresses on Wed for the girls for next Sunday which is Livs dedication. They match and I hope they get here in time! I ordered our first Tea 😍 now to find hair things to match!! The invites were purple and green floral so the dresses are similar. I need to menu plan, order balloons, and order a sheet cake!
One week of work and then some staycation fun! I'm going to leave the recruiter my cell # in the event a decision is made for the job I interviewed for while I'm out.

Does anyone know of a good website that sells matching pajamas for siblings (that won't cost me an arm and a leg)?
My problem is that DD is a 5 year old girl (and wears a size 6) and J is 5 month old boy (wearing size 9 months)

Today is DD's family birthday party at our house. We have been busting our butts getting the house ready and prepping food all morning. I am taking a break and back at it shortly. Why didn't we do things sooner?

This is probably a fluke but J is taking a crib nap now AND he went down drowsy!

One of my employees is on holidays so I’m at work until I deliver a wedding cake at 4. Then I’ll be showing up super late for my niece’s 5th birthday.
We’re moving the baby to his crib tonight. I probably should have done it ages ago as his head and his toes hit both ends of the bassinet when he stretches out straight. But I’ve been irrationally paranoid that he’s just going to stop breathing in the middle of the night so I’ve liked having him next to me. He’s definitely going to handle the move better than I am.

yellow711 I think Target online sometimes has family matching pajamas or Old Navy

Hi! I was at Sesame place all day so I didn’t get a chance to post. G had a ball and the baby was so chill all day. Now they are in bed and I am laying on the couch. I don’t foresee me staying up too late. I’m exhausted and a little sunburned.

yellow711 my go tos for matching pajamas are usually Gymboree, Crazy8, or Hanna Anderson. But I’m only matching girls. Another option might be ARB Blanks (https://www.arbblanks.com) or Primary?

We’re up at 2am so might as well stop in. Saturday was our first day with no activities for a bit, so we were pretty lazy in the morning. Had a 3 year olds swimming party to attend in the afternoon.
Today is Girl Scout Day at the Royals baseball game, so we were going to go (minus DD3 because nap time at the game when it’s hot sounded like hell). But I think I’ve decided that having baby out in the heat just isn’t worth it. So DH will take DD1 and 2, my parents are still going to keep DD3, and DD4 and I will have a quiet day at home. I’m hoping for good naps and some productivity.

The baby is now 6 months old! It definitely goes faster with #2! I have to go to work and have a fair amount to do again today. Yesterday I was there from 8-2. DH is on kid duty. I need a new phone but can’t get one unti DH makes me an authorized user on the account. I’m so annoyed about that (not with DH since we went together to combine accounts and the guy just set it up that way witht asking).

And the baby’s new nickname is Swiper. Because he will swim whatever you have in your hand including food and my phone.

Hey ladies w the IUD..
What kind of bleeding and spotting did you have on it? I've had it for 2 weeks and on off spotty but it appears I now have my period.. But I'm exclusively breast feeding.. And we're only 4mo pp. I wondered if it was coming bc last week when I pumped i struggled with getting enough. Does it cause a first period?

With this iud and my last, I bled or spotted on and off for 12 weeks. With this one I had a pretty horrific period two cycle ago and last cycle I only spotted for a day or so. I have had mine in since the beginning or April. I however do not pump or BF so I don’t know if your experience will vary.

yellow711 ajetter I was going to suggest primary too. They also usually have coupons. We went to breakfast yesterday morning and Derek Jeter walked in! For reference we are in a medium sized town in NC so it was so random but awesome. We tried to use the almost 3 year old to get a pic but DH chickened out.

Hey ladies. DH took the toddler all morning while I just hid in the bedroom with DS2, hanging out and snoozing on and off. It was great. DS1 and I reeeeaally needed a break from each other after his behavior was such a pain yesterday.
I’ve been following the story of the Thai soccer team and it’s just so intense. I try not to check every two minutes because I know nothing will have changed that quickly, but I’m hoping so hard for those boys, the rescuers, and all their families.

snowyowl I’ve been following that story as well. I just can’t even imagine. I hope everyone, including all the rescuers, makes it out safely. We’ve tried to slowly transition to baby falling asleep by herself, unswaddled, in the crib. We’ve gotten the first two steps down, but man. She does not like the crib. She cries when we lay her down, and if she does fall asleep, she wakes up crying 30 minutes later. She usually takes two at least 90 minute naps a day, usually one is longer than that, plus a third nap. Can she just sleep in the rock n play forever? 😬

One of my best friends however is a huge Yankees and Derek Jeter fan and when I told her she was thinking of driving here from 3 hours away and about killed me for not getting a picture of him.

I had to miss out on my favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch because baby fell asleep 10 minutes before we were supposed to leave so I just sent DH and DS1. DH got me take out so I wasn't completely out.

Is it bad I wouldn't know Derek Jeter if I saw him on the street?

I’m just using a thin liner but .. it’s more than I thought spotty was. I also didn’t get my period until 9mo pp with dd1 sooooo

Dd1 skipped her nap and I felt 0 qualms about leaving her with mh and rocking / snuggling O. she has really needed her momma lately and I might love it.

Sometimes it was heavy-ish sometimes it was just a spot or two and sometimes I would go days without anything. But at 12 weeks it was like a switch went off and it totally stopped. After that I only spotted for like a day per month. I had it in for almost 2 years. It was glorious.
