When ever I'm frustrated with J's incessant talking I'll mumble "oh child.." Yesterday I was lecturing him on listening to me and he mumbled "oh mommy child.."

J talks pretty much non stop. Like he barely breathes with all the talking! M asks him all the time "can you just stop talking?!"
In the Incredibles movie, M kept repeating what was happening very loudly. I shushed him and he said "But I have to explain these things to nana!"
Pretty much every time we drive by our lot M sighs and in an annoyed voice says "Why is my house just not built?"

So this happened a few months ago, but I don’t think I told you guys. You know Lucas communicates mostly in sign language. Well, one morning I was trying to brush his hair and he didn’t want me to and was getting super frustrated and annoyed with me. Well I finished brushing his hair, even though he fought me the whole time, and then he stormed off but turned around and did a sign I’d never seen before. Definitely an angry sign, lol. So when I saw his teacher I asked her what it meant. Omg, the look on her face. She kind of stuttered and said “well, he didn’t learn that in class....but.... he told you ‘YOU SUCK!’”

Last week Dh told Callan he needs to make sure Maxi doesn’t go outside. Callan got really mad and yelled “no, that’s your job! My responsibility is Maxi’s kibble!”
I like that he takes his pet duties so seriously.

I tried patting M's back after she threw up in the MOTN. She said, "I just don't want anyone to touch me."
Apparently I forgot a few times later because she rolled over and said, "Mommmy, I told you I don't want to be touched right now."
She's definitely not a snuggly kid.

Jackson wants his back scratched every night before bed. After a few minutes HE'll tell me "Okay, that's enough" And if I forget or I'm zoned out "I SAID THATS ENOUGH!" |

Cadence keeps telling me she does EVERYTHING around here. The only "chore" she has it to feed the cats. It isn't my fault she leaves her toys everywhere and I keep having to tell her to pick them up.

Lol, anytime anyone asks Landon how he likes having a baby sister he sighs dramatically and says “good, but sooooo exhausting”, like he’s the one doing all the work. |

T asked me the other day “so where did you get those nipples on your belly to feed C?” Then he told me my sister can only watch C for a little bit because she doesn’t make milk.
DD asked if at the end of prayers, people were saying “all men” or “almond”

Cadence pronounces the new kitten (Martha) as "Marcia". I feel like on the set of the Brady Bunch. All day I hear Marcia, Marcia, Marcia.

When ds was two or something i bought him a doll, that he has shown zero interest in over the years. Dd on the other hand plays with it all the time. Dd is in the ‘mine mine mine’ phase. So she was doing this last night with the doll and I said to her ‘well technically it is your brothers’, but we can ask him if you can have it’. Ds answer? ‘I’m sorry J, I’m too emotionally attached to it.’

Not my N13 kid, but her older brother. He was learning about George Washington in kindergarten and had this weird fascination with him. Recently, my H gave him a dollar bill and he exclaimed "Yes! I got my favorite guy!" 😂

C asked for Cheetos at Target the other day so we bought a bag. I finished the off and they lasted a total of two days. Sunday C goes to find them and Dh says they are gone. He says “no that can’t be! I only ate one bowl!!” There’s a reason we don’t keep stuff like that in the house. He has been telling everyone about us eating his Cheetos.

M wouldn't wake up this morning. She had her legs tucked underneath her with her butt in the air, so I tickled her feet. She moved them. I tickled them again. She moved them again. I started to giggle and she said, "I'm not laughing, Mommy."

I took N to DH’s baseball tournament this weekend. We were walking through the parking lot from the car to the diamond and there was a team standing around one of their vehicles having a bbq between games and some of them were smoking...
“Ew... why does it smell like smoke?”
Well because there are adults around and some adults smoke. They’re allowed to if that’s what they choose.
“Yea but Papa is an adult. I told him not to smoke and he stopped smoking so I can just tell them and they will stop too.”

I don't know if I shared this in the dailies or not:
My dad: so LO you will go to Ms M's preschool this year, then next year you will go to kindergarten. After that you will go to 1st grade.
LO: no grandpa, I won't go to 1st grade after kindergarten, I'm going to Olive Garden.
Clearly I take him to Olive Garden a little too much.

This morning as I was doing Cadence's hair she said after today she had no more school ever.
Me: sorry kid, you have school for the next 15 years, more so if you decide to be a vet or doctor or lawyer
C: 15???
Me: yep. I mean, you could go less, but I would really like you to get at least your college degree
C: I'm going to be a unicorn

A couple weeks ago on our drive home from the pedi:
Atticus: Mom!!! Look, there's a huge picture of you up there (points to giant billboard of some newscaster).
