I feel like yesterday lasted forever. How is it only Tuesday?

I am here. We are spending yet another day in the house. The baby’s helmet can’t be submerged in water or in excessive heat so I can’t really take them anywhere. And since I am home alone with them all day, in the house we will stay. I feel bad that G doesn’t get to do all the fun summer stuff because I have to stay in with the baby. I sooooo want to take her to a splash pad. 😞 I hope everyone is having a great day.

Aw marygracerich that sounds hard for over summer. How long does he need his helmet for?

Aw marygracerich that sounds hard for over summer. How long does he need his helmet for? There is no set time. It depends on how good his progress is. They said maybe 3-6 months. However compliance is key. The more he wears it per day, the fewer months he will have to wear it overall. That’s why I m reluctant to take it off for long periods of time. I want him to be done with it ASAP. We have already seen progress.

We had my DS’s birthday party yesterday! It went great and was a lot of fun. Today will be a packing and organizing day and we’ll leave for our first camping trip of the season whoop whoop! His real birthday is Thursday so can pack up the extra cupcakes for a nice campfire night at the lake.

It’s crazy how different his head shape already is. If his head was this shape before the helmet, I wouldn’t have even needed. It’s that different already. I found out on Friday how much progress he has had measurement-wise.

Just like yesterday I am not motivated at work today at all. Baby slept through the night again last night! That makes 3 times in 2 weeks!
I wish it wasn't so hot here. We may go see fireworks tonight but its still supposed to be in the upper 80s at like 10pm and sitting outside in that doesn't sound fun to me. We may go to a parade in the next town over tomorrow morning but again it's going to be super hot. I've lived in the south for a long time and I feel like with each kid I have, the less I like and can deal with the heat and humidity. Give me fall weather in the 60s anyday.

I did not want to get up this morning, I was in a really deep sleep. The storms last night didn’t really break the humidity so it’s miserabkd here.were hoping to get out early before the sun gets too hot tomorrow and go strawberry picking.

Hi guys! The kids are napping & im watching Chuck. We went to Target today to pick up a baby gift for my friend’s baby shower next weekend. I put DS in the Tula for the first time & we both loved it!! His torso has been too tall to use with the insert so I’ve been waiting until his legs were long enough to use without. I think I’m going to sell my Solly now, I’d want to get a new one whenever we have another baby anyway!
Tonight we’re gojng to get sushi with a girlfriend of mine & then coming back home to make grownup floats with halo top & some sort of booze haha. Also need to pack up our beach bags & make some lunches before tomorrow— we’re heading to the beach in the morning.

Hi!
Sent the big one to school and took Liv for her check up and shots. Just a normal day. So so so nice that I took a vacation day yday and today, I feel so relaxed.
It's still stupid hot /humid here which sucks. It should break by the weekend which would be nice, we're having a BBQ at my parents this weekend.
My sister picked her wedding date! She and her fiancé are nerds and picked 3/14/20 🤣

marygracerich that’s tough. I’m glad the helmet is working well though! I’ve mostly been trying to keep baby inside because the heat makes her eczema flare and she gets rashy. Just have to keep reminding myself next year will be different. Hopefully. I feel like baby rubbing/scratching her head is mostly habitual, maybe skin related, but nonetheless we have to keep mitts on her at almost all times now. I forgot to get them on for a five minute car ride and this is what I found when we got to our destination... So so sad looking! I’m not sure what we’ll do when she grows out of the current mitts we have. It’s hard to find them for older babies.
