aprilz81 dS2 actually sleeps better without a dream feed. If we dream feed he gets in the routine that it’s like day time and he needs to eat every 3 hours or so. Also our pediatrician is in the camp that it’s normal for babies to get up 1-2 tines still at this age to eat.

I'm here. I feel like I don't have much interesting to say lately. DS2 keeps throwing off my schedule which is causing my type a personality to be all out of sorts. He's also giving me anxiety because of how he rolls himself to the corner of his crib at night and gets stuck.

aprilz81 , DS1 didn’t STTN until 8 months and that was with sleep training. This baby seems to be following that same trend. I have friends whose babies take much longer. Try not to get discouraged. Hang in there!!! I think I'm going to wait until she turns 6 months old and then sleep train. I know she can sleep through the night, she has done it several times now (like maybe 10 times?), she just won't now. I think it’s like any skill. Kids can learn to count but do it wrong vs right for months or even years before it’s consistent. I’m a big sleep training fan but just know it’s 100% normal that she has STTN 10 times but now isn’t. Growth spurts and mental development leaps also play into sleep quite a bit.

So I already got a call back for a second interview. Yay! Fingers crossed! My best friend is coming up next week to visit her fam and I'm SO excited to see her. I'm just anxious about taking both kids anywhere by myself! I took a few days off work so I could be off work and off school and just... Be with the girls. I decided since O can roll that we were going to go cold turkey on the swaddle sack. As a trade, I'm going to keep her in the RnP until the weekend/my days off next week when it's less important if I don't sleep well bc she's up in the crib. I'm hoping she will be a belly sleeper - once E started doing that her sleep got much better. What do you guys like to put baby in to sleep? I have central but the upstairs is anywhere between 75-80 at bed time and then cools to 70 overnight. Air is on 72 and he’s in a long sleeve/pants sleeper with sleep sack over.

sunfrogger I put him in a light weight sleeper. Our house runs about75 at night. This weekend when it’s supposed to be extreme hot I’m thinking of just a onesie. We don’t have central air.

I put the baby in just a onesie and either a sleep sack or a swaddle. Unfortunately his room is the hottest in the house and with the helmet, he is soooo warm at night. I have a fan on him but he still gets pretty sweaty.

Mine wears light footie pjs and the temp is similar. We already sleep trained which to me means that he goes in the crib awake and no feeds before midnight. Since then he usually wakes once to eat but will sometimes sttn.

I only ended up getting a 10 min nap! 😞 I am currently trying to put the baby back down bc he thinks sleeping in 20-30 min increments is cool. Mac and cheese is in the oven and will be def having a beer with bc classy. Thankfully h is putting big to sleep now. I have to go pick up my brother from the airport in the morning so I think we’ll probably stop for breakfast on the way home, pancakes yes please.

It is usually around 75 in the nursery and she is usually in a sleeper and sleep sack. Sometimes just a onsie and sleep sack.
I think I'll stop the dream feeds since it doesn't seem to be helping her sleep...
What sunscreen do you guys use or plan on using? We have so far been able to keep her out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time but I'm not sure we will be able to avoid it much longer and I would like to be prepared.

@aprilz I use the Beautycounter sunscreen. Of all the ‘crunchy’ sunscreens I’ve used I think it is easiest to rub in and we haven’t experienced any burns.
We also tried Badger, Thinkbaby, Honest and California baby. Of those I prefer them in that order, but would probably never use California baby again. That stuff was terrible to rub in.
Edited to add, with any sunscreen just be sure to follow the instructions. We reapply every 90 min to 2 hours if we’re out for a long time. With 3.5 bodies to sunscreen (I’m counting baby as a half lol) it can get really annoying, but that’s the only way to keep their skin safe. I’ve also got pretty pale sensitive skinned kids.

We let baby lick a watermelon the other night. She was perplexed. Sometimes I just can’t handle her cuteness.

We used Aveeno Baby sunscreen with DD. I plan to use that with J (assuming it doesn’t irritate his skin).

aprilz81, we used Neutrogena baby. DD1 had bad eczema up until the age of 1 and it was the only thing that didn't flare it up.

aprilz81 we use ombrelle sunscreen. Both my kids seem to be sensitive to zinc, so we avoid in it both bum cream and sunscreen. Unfortunately it is very common in both
