It feels ridiculous how frequently I have to pee some days already. I try to drink a good amount of water daily because I definitely feel the difference when I don't drink enough, but it means I'm either drinking or peeing. And with just under 3 months to go that's a lot of time for baby to squish my bladder even more!

tbirdlove - I've never had to stick myself but I imagine there's something to the fact that you're completely in control when you do it yourself as opposed to someone else sticking you. I do think it has something to do with this. Although I was always nervous about it before too. And I was completely terrified when I had to learn to do them myself.

I don't mind needles at all but the thought of giving a shot to myself terrifies me. Like I think it would take me an hour to psych myself up to do it the first time or I'd have to have my husband do it first. Kudos to you for being able to do it!

The first time probably did take me an hour to psych myself up! Then I had to sit down on the floor after I finally did it because I got dizzy/lightheaded from getting myself all worked up. The first few times MH was home, but he works late three nights a week and I made him stay on the phone with me when I did it for the first couple weeks in case I passed out or something. And if he wasn't available, I'd call my Mom and make her sit on the phone! Probably the first month, or maybe two, I mentally made myself sick thinking about it before the injection every night. This time it was like riding a bike. An unpleasant bike, but not nearly the big ordeal as last time!

After my appt today I was curious where I was for weight gain this time vs with DS. Just looked it up. At 25 weeks with DS I had gained 20 lbs and this time at 27 weeks I've gained 21! Crazy because I feel bigger!

Crazy because I feel bigger! I weigh 10 more pounds than I did around this time with DD 😟 I really struggled to gain weight with her though so 🤷♀️

OMG the hip pain. I have to have a pinched nerve in my hip. It's a general achy and tingly feeling when I'm not feeling the pain then it hurts really badly when I do. I got stuck trying to step over a baby gate earlier because I put the leg over then the hip hurt too much trying to put weight on my foot to bring the next leg over.
It happened last Monday and now again today. It made rolling over in bed miserable so I'm not looking forward to tonight. It was ok when I woke up last Tuesday so I'm hoping it's back to normal tomorrow morning.

I have 6 appointments scheduled at my OB's office between now and the end of July (which will increase more in August and even more in September 😟). I'm already feeling overwhelmed with the extra appointments just because of finding child care for DD. It was so easy having extra appointments when I was pregnant with DD, I didn't have to worry about anyone but myself! Haha

brenna hope you can figure out scheduling for childcare. How long are the appointments? Could you try to take DD with you to one and see how it goes? My DS does well being distracted by a snack or even a full meal at an appt. And if necessary he would probably pretty easily sit and watch a movie or show on a phone or tablet for a decent amount of time. I haven't had to try that yet, cause usually the food works! Kid likes to eat. I always dread taking him to appts, but it's always turned out ok.

I can definitely take her to regular appointments, although my ob is pretty much always running late, but at my weekly ultrasound and twice weekly non stress tests it would be really hard to take her since I'm pretty much stuck in one spot and can't grab her if she's getting into trouble (which I can pretty much guarantee haha) I might have to talk to some people at the ob office to see if other people bring their toddlers and if so what they do with them to keep them out of trouble.

Nymeria I’m right there with you with the hip pain. Earlier this week it was my back, then suddenly this morning my back feels fine but my hip is like excruciating. Let me know if you find anything that helps.

chriskoo and Nymeria try getting on hands and knees and swaying your hips all around. Side to side, in circles, tilting your pelvis back and forth (like you would in cat/cow). I've been meaning to add that one to the list of yoga stretches that was shared. Spending time on hands and knees has been my favorite way to stretch this pregnancy.

Thanks tbirdlove, I'll have to keep those in mind. chriskoo - I didn't do anything special but so far it's feeling better today. Still the achy/tingly feeling but not the bad pain that accompanied it last night. I'll let you know if I find any tricks, but I'm definitely going to try the stretches tbirdlove mentioned. Hope yours feels better soon too! brenna - That's a lot of appointments to have to work around. I hope you can find something that works for you with your DD!

We've had three busy days in a row with family from out of state. We were out late visiting last night since it was their last night and DS was playing hard and went to bed late. It's a dreary, rainy morning and apparently that kid needed some sleep cause we're just about to get out of bed and it's after 10am! It's quite glorious actually! It's totally gonna be a lazy day today.

Because having about 13 weeks to go in pregnancy seems like the PERFECT time for larger home improvement projects - we're looking into finishing our basement 😂 We've been talking about it since we moved in four years ago and I'm finally scheduling an estimate!

Haha. We finished ours while I was pregnant the first time! He had just started it when I got my BFP and I have a picture of myself with about 2 months to go giving a thumbs up next to the big TV we hung on the wall. MH did it himself during his free time around work though so hiring people would get yours done a lot faster!

It won't give us a huge amount of space since we have a smaller colonial, but I think it will be totally worth it in the long run. Much better than the dingy cement hole it is now. The receptionist said the job itself may only take about a week!

The one thing I would change is that MH "surprised" me with a pool table, which I want to get rid of already. That half of the room would be much more usable set up as a playroom now. And he never uses the pool table so....

Thanks for the surprise H! Can we sell it now?!

Omg, you guys! I posted a large, plastic, dog bone shaped, dog toy box for sale on FB Marketplace and my phone is blowing up!! I had to change the listing to Pending and I'm STILL getting messages from people who want it. I drastically underestimated the demand for this thing! Guess I could have listed it for more. How random!

Good morning!
We have someone coming already today to give us an estimate for the basement, so I'm excited to hear what he has to say. And I sold two things yesterday on FB Marketplace that should get picked up today (ended up with 15 people wanting that dog bone bin!). Otherwise, a bit of cleaning, perhaps some groceries and just hanging out at home. It's supposed to be hot so maybe get out the kiddie pool at some point.

We had a bolt of lightning so close to the house this morning that the light, cracking sound from the lightning, and the thunder were instantaneous. It even fried our whole house surge protector (doing it's job at least!!) it was THAT close.
And the rain has been ridiculous. When I went to drop DS off at daycare it wasn't raining at all, I had him halfway out of the car and heard a single roll of thunder, then the skies just opened. Absolute down pour in seconds. Had to jump back in the car to get my umbrella to finish getting him out of the car! We needed some rain though so I'm happy to see it now that I'm indoors!).

We have a steamy few days coming up and I am dreading it, my feet get even more swollen from the heat. Nymeria that lightening situation sounds very scary, glad you are safe.
