My day started EARLY! S woke up at 4 and yanked some cords out during the sleep study. Then wouldn’t go back to sleep. So at 5 they unhooked everything and sent us on our way. She did not love all the stuff on her face. She cried big sad tears of torture. And getting her to sleep with all that on was challenging. She does fine with the EEG’s...but nothing is on her face. So this was definitely not her favorite thing. But it’s over and she’s happy as can be now!

Sunny41 I saw traffic backed up a bit this morning at 5:15. Hope your commute to work isn’t too bad!

Morning! Ds looked adorable with his flower crown this morning, 😍😍😍. It’s starting to sink in that I’m in the last leg of a job I had for almost 13 years (in different positions), it feels soooo weird. I’ve decided that I need a diet cheat day today, so I’m going to be good during office hours and have pizza tonight, can’t wait. ETA how’s that for a rambling random post !

Today is MH's last day of school. I am always super happy to have him home, but I know that we usually have a few days of an adjustment period. I'm also a few days before AF, so I am particularly sensitive to everything that isn't my way. We're trying a new Mexican place for a late lunch, and then I'm going grocery shopping all by myself. I might try Aldi.

Hello. Mh is taking the PMP exam today so I’ve been sending him all the good luck vibes. That also means he plans to be out afterwards (hopefully celebrating, but if not, wallowing) so I’m solo parenting the kiddos tonight.

Last night we had a romantic 10 year anniversary dinner at Costco. The flourescent lighting was just right and the sounds of carts clanging together really set the mood. 👌

Morning!
Hi from the rheumatologist’s office. The woman who checked in right behind me is my next door neighbor 😂😂 We’re so used to seeing each other in yard-work clothes or chasing after our kids, It was one of those moments where you almost don’t recognize the other person. Small world.
DH is home with the kiddos; he’ll go into the office when I get home but he usually only works half days on Fridays. Tonight I have dinner plans with some of the other squadron wives.

Happy Friday ladies! Busy day today. I hate getting in the office at 7:30 and being greeted by a meeting invite at 8am. I do not give a shit about anything at 8am.
Busy day, I'm trying to help keep things afloat for another manager who lost her mom and brother within 3 days of each other. She's been out of the office for 2 weeks and is planning on returning Monday. But my actual job is slacking trying to keep her stuff up, so I'm trying to find the balance today, without losing my mind.

Wow, how terrible for your coworker mwhip . 😔 Yeah, I feel awful for her. She spent a week in NY with her mom, while she was there, her BIL had a stroke and was having surgery yesterday, then she flew home Sunday because her brother passed. It's too much for a family to handle. I'm surprised she's coming back to work so soon. So I'm okay with letting my work slack a bit to make her transition back a little easier, at least from a work perspective.

Good morning. We are heading home today and I’m ready. My sister must have some kind of voodoo magic at her house because H has slept in late every morning we’ve been here.

This morning at dropoff E asked when his last day of school was going to be. It was so sad! Since we live next to the AF base this is the time of year for people to move. His good friend at school has his last day today and our neighbors across the street will move next April if not earlier. This will be the second military family to move from that house in the 5yrs we have been in the house. He cried a little and then said that he wants to move and not live in our house forever. A bunch of other kids in his class already transitioned into the pre-K class and he is practically the oldest kid by a year so it is a little rough for him. Thankfully he doesn't dwell on each friend transition but i feel bad for him.

Morning. So happy it's Friday. Of course I've been procrastinating all week and I have a lot of packing to do tonight before we head out to the beach early tomorrow morning. I hope to be done early so I can have a little time at home before I have to pick up the boys.

Morning! Basement work continues. I’m wfh today.
Tonight we are going to a cooking class in Minneapolis with another couple which I’m looking forward to. This is my girlfriend who I’ve had some issues with the past year but we really haven’t had time together without kids so I suggested a double date night. Hopefully everyone has fun.

lfig, when do you get the results of the sleep study? They said 5-10 days. I had to call the neurologist this morning to tell them about the 4 seizures S had had this week and I was hoping they’d peek at the study and tell me something...but no such luck.

Thankfully he doesn't dwell on each friend transition but i feel bad for him. Aww, poor guy. It's funny, I so often think about military kids b/c our families move so frequently, but I imagine that in certain respects it must be kind of tough being a non-military kid in a community that's full of them. Our area is heavily military but ironically, all but one of B's buddies are non-military. We'll be the ones leaving in another year and a half or so, and I know he'll be excited to get back home to FL, but a part of him will probably be sad b/c this is probably where most of his memories are from.
