smilz4782 I wanted to add that I know the are a lot of emotions you are feeling right now and I want you and yh have done a great job over the last 4.5 years embracing your children and their uniqueness. No matter what the diagnosis that will still be the case. Don't feel like you should have discovered the signs earlier. Just like signs of an ear infection without a fever (not eating =infant/toddler behavior; screaming = toddler behavior; not sleeping well=standard kid stuff) it isn't until you look back and combine these that they paint a picture. Moment to moment it is just a single brush stroke.

Hey, smilz4782! Sorry to hear it's been kind of an emotional and confusing week. I hope some answers are right around the corner. No suspected ASD for us but both the boys have sensory issues. Dude to a lesser extent, he's sensitive to bright lights, anything loud, and overstimulated kind of easily but probably nothing that rises to the level of needing a diagnosis or intervention. X just started feeding therapy today and they determined part of his problems are sensory related. Best of luck to you and your girls, and come back anytime, although I know things are bananas with three small children.

I watched Bad Mom's finally tonight. I laughed as hard as I could with my kid being asleep in the next room. The original or the Christmas one? I still haven't seen the sequel but I watched the original with my mom in the theater and laughed so damn hard.

@smilz7482 hi!! Like kim said...a developmental pedi is usually the route you need to go but they do take forever to get into from what I hear. I suggest checking out the special needs board. I’d say 90% of the participants have kiddos on the spectrum. It’s not super active over there. But I know that there are a lot of educated mommas over there that could probably help. And I know I e seen many threads related to ASD. S has a lot of sensory issues and there have been times that ASD has been brought up, but then in the next breath they say they don’t think it’s a concern right now although some of her behaviors are similar to those with Autism. 🤷♀️. Is that frustrating for you to have them suggest maybe this then kind of take away your "answer"? :/ And thanks I will check out the board! I think it would be more frustrating if that was our only challenge. But because of Sierra’s complex medical history... they’ve “tossed” around several different ‘possible’ diagnoses that never ended up going any further. So I guess I’m just kinda used to it. I hope you get some answers though! I know all too well the feeling of just wanting to help your child have what they need to succeed...and then hitting road blocks. Or having people dismiss your concerns.

I remembered last night. I want to watch it again, with H. Even though it's funny, there are many true sentiments in it. Although I'm sure they would go over his head.

I still haven't seen either one. Me either. Let's meet somewhere and binge watch them. I'll bring wine. You bring food.

I'm sensitive to noise, always have been, and seeing them deal with the same is kinda painful to watch. 💔

I see A trying to avoid or minimize certain sensory input and X goes out of his way to seek out more intense noises, lights, sounds, textures, etc.
